Her background includes work in addictions, employee assistance programs, the court system, and with youth and children. This wide-ranging experience makes her great at tackling various issues, using daily routines to help clients build resilience and move from feeling like victims to achieving their personal goals.
We also love that they offer services in both English and French. Karine Langley is fluent in both, so there’s no worry about language barriers getting in the way of therapy.
Another cool thing about this clinic is the resources it offers. Their website has free reading materials that are a great way to keep up the progress between sessions.
Just a heads-up, they operate by appointment only, so no walk-ins, which might be a hassle if you need immediate consultation. On the bright side, they offer sliding scale payments, so the fees are adjusted based on your income, making therapy more affordable.

Cons
- By appointment basis only
Helps with severe PTSD
“I was diagnosed with severe PTSD such that the flashbacks would cripple me and cause me to experience anew the torture that I underwent in my home country. It was such that I would shake, cry and experience the fear all over again. It was recommended to me that at moments of extreme terror I pray. As a practicing Muslim I found this incredibly helpful.”
Client A., Salus Testimonial
Quick noticeable progress for nightmares
“Due to the trauma I experienced in my home country, I was unable to sleep for months and worked at night due to my fear of horrific nightmares. As a result of listening to Dominican Compline before going to sleep, I was astonished to find that within one week my nightmares had greatly diminished and I was able to sleep.”

For anyone struggling with insomnia, they provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), which is great for those having trouble falling or staying asleep. It’s especially helpful for teens, university students, new parents, shift workers, military folks, healthcare workers, and teachers.
We also appreciate that they offer free discovery calls for new clients. It’s a great way to see if you click with Melisa or anyone else on their team and if their approach works for you, all without any financial commitment.
It’s a bit of a bummer that they’re closed on weekends, which might be inconvenient if you have a busy weekday schedule. But overall, their expertise and the quality of their services are undeniable.
Pros

What we like most about Westboro Psychology is that the first session is all about getting to know your social and emotional history. Together with Jamie D. Brooks and her team, you’ll create a treatment plan that’s just right for you.
There’s no set number of sessions—it all depends on your progress and how ready you are to put those strategies into action.
It’s also worth mentioning that they offer both in-person and online sessions, so you can get the support you need in a way that fits your lifestyle.
We also found out that they specialize in Adult ADHD assessments, supervised by a licensed member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Plus, clients get a receipt after payment to submit to their insurance for reimbursement, which we think is pretty handy for faster approval.
But we’re a bit iffy after hearing some reports of slow response times, especially from new clients trying to book appointments by phone or email. Nonetheless, Westboro Psychology is still a solid choice for your mental health journey.
Pros
- Available both in-person and online
- Personalized sessions
- Specializes in Adult ADHD assessments
Cons
- Some reports of slow response time
- Closed on Sundays

Dr. Kimberly Sogge offers several benefits that make her a standout choice.
We’re impressed that she uses Third Wave CBT, a step beyond traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This approach mixes mindfulness and acceptance strategies, giving a more holistic way to tackle the root causes of your challenges.
Another cool thing is that the clinic’s website has a bunch of free resources. They’re great for clients and families who want to learn more about psychological issues and case studies, making a nice extra to the therapy.
However, Dr. Sogge’s fees are $295 for individual therapy, which is a bit higher than the usual $150 to $250 range—something to keep in mind if you’re on a tight budget. Also, we’ve heard that there can be slightly long wait times for initial consultations.
On the bright side, the clinic provides receipts for reimbursement, which is great for those with insurance. Most patients we talked to said they had good success getting reimbursed, making the financial side of therapy a bit easier to handle.
Pros
- Assists with insurance
- Great integration of Third Wave CBT
- Provides free resources on their website
Cons
- Slightly long wait times for consultations
- Pricier than other clinics
- Closed on Sundays

Grounded Psychology offers therapy in English, French, and Farsi. This makes it easier for more people to communicate and understand better.
They’ve got a team of psychologists and psychotherapists who specialize in anxiety, relationship issues, depression, and more. They offer therapy and assessments for everyone—youth, adults, couples, and families—providing a well-rounded approach to mental health care.
That said, their free 20-minute virtual consultation is useful. It allows potential clients to discuss their needs and how the clinic can help.
However, their $225 fee per hour is a bit higher than average, which might be something to consider. They also charge a $100 cancellation fee, which could be a concern if you need to reschedule appointments often. But the quality of service makes it worth it.
Still, a major perk of Grounded Psychology is that there’s no waitlist. You can get your preferred appointment on schedule, which is convenient if you want to start ASAP.
Pros
- Offers free virtual 20-minute consultation
- Offers services in English, French, and Farsi
- Doesn’t have a waitlist
- Experienced and informative
Cons
- Slightly pricier rates
- Charges a $100-cancellation fee
