We also love that they’re registered with the OHIP Assistive Devices Program, which helps eligible patients get financial support for hearing aids, making the process easier.

True to their name, they focus beyond hearing aids. Their care includes counselling, communication, training, and strategies to help you navigate everyday listening situations.

And the patients we chatted with often highlight the relaxed vice of the clinic—no pressure, no rush. You get the space to ask questions, try out devices, and make informed decisions. 

The only catch is they’re closed on Thursdays and weekends, which might be tough for some. Still, for thoughtful, in-depth care, they’re a solid audiologist in Toronto.

What we love most about Toronto Family Hearing is that they let you try hearing aids on the same day as your hearing test, which is a major time-saver. They’ll fit a pair just for you and send you home with them for a full two-week trial.

They provide a decent range of services, too, including hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, tinnitus management, earwax removal, and custom earplugs. It’s a full-circle approach that helps ensure your hearing care is truly personalized.

Another plus is their wide selection of hearing aids. They carry all the major brands and offer styles ranging from nearly invisible in-ear models to stronger options for more significant hearing loss—you’re more likely to find something that fits your hearing needs, preferences, and budget.

It’s a bit of a bummer that their focus on premium care and brand-name tech may not work for those on a tight budget. They’re also only open on weekdays, but with multiple locations across Toronto, access is still pretty convenient.

And since they’re an independent provider, you’re not boxed into a single brand. There’s a solid range of devices to choose from, depending on what you’re after.

CAA members get some nice perks, too: discounts of up to 35% on hearing aids and five years of free batteries. That’s a pretty generous bonus.

There have been hiccups, though—like patients showing up to clinics only to find no audiologist on-site. Frustration, for sure. Nonetheless, their range of options and citywide access still make them worth considering.

We also have to give them props on how flexible they are. Not everyone can make it into a clinic easily, so they’ve added virtual consultations and even home visit options. It’s a small detail, but one that makes a big difference if mobility or time is a concern. 

They’ve also put effort into patient education, offering articles and guides on hearing aid care, adjustment periods, and general hearing wellness. You don’t feel left in the dark.

The only catch is they mostly focus on adult hearing care, so families looking for help with children’s hearing might have to look elsewhere (if it’s too complex). 

Regardless, for adult clients, this clinic strikes a thoughtful balance between convenience, expertise, and support.
