Pros
- Advanced water filtration system
- Free at-home water test
- Offers air purification
Cons
- Pricey units
- Lack of information regarding certifications
- No social media presence
Oasis Innovations Canada is one of our top prospects because we’ve heard about their high-tech 7-station water filtration system. We’re impressed to see the different filters they use just to produce cleaner and better-tasting water!
We find it worth highlighting because of its helpfulness, as these contaminants are notorious for creating odour and taste with tap water. From what we’ve found, this system aims to reduce common water contaminants like lead and total dissolved solids.
Upon first learning about this system, we were worried that it would take up too much space. To our surprise, we found out that it could easily fit in common under-sink cabinet areas, which we thought was impressive given the tech behind it.
Another thing we liked was how they offered the complete conditioning package, featuring state-of-the-art air purification systems as well. We can see this being appreciated by potential clients looking to improve their homes’ conditioning.
We also found their water conditioning system highly interesting. According to our research, this particular system aims to remove hard minerals from the water source, allowing users to end up with “softer” water.
On the downside, one thing that can throw some people off from their services is their above-average pricing. We were also disappointed at the lack of information regarding their certifications.
Plus, they don’t have any social media presence, and we felt like the company wasn’t that established in the Canadian market yet.
If you could look past these downsides though, we think you’ll be getting one of the best water treatment services in Edmonton!

Pros
- Wide range of services
- 14+ years of experience
- BBB Accredited
Cons
- Tends to be unresponsive
- Lengthy waiting time
Capital Plumbing and Heating was already an established name, so our expectations were high when we were researching it. Fortunately, we weren’t let down, as we quickly discovered their wide array of services.
Among these services is their water treatment, which they claim can keep water as fresh as possible.
One service that stood out to us under their water treatments is the Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water System. It was something new to our ears so we dug deeper and found out that it’s a specialised equipment that uses pressure to force out impurities.
Furthermore, they also offer specialty filtration systems, which they offer for those times when water softening and water purification aren’t enough.
Lastly, one of the things that further cemented our confidence in this company’s behaviour was that it’s BBB Accredited. This is always a good sign to look for in a business, as it means that they prioritise customer service and ethical practices.
As for its downsides, we could only name two significant ones. For starters, even though they post their hotline on their website and social media pages, they’re not that easy to reach.
Furthermore, we’ve learned from some of their past clients that we interviewed that they were put on hold for a significantly long amount of time. We understand that this could be due to their busy schedule being in demand, but we just wanted to give a heads-up.
3. Culligan Water

Pros
- Solid selection of services
- Offers bottled water
- Offers a wide array of water softeners
Cons
- Closed on weekends
- Above average prices
Culligan Water is another veteran in the scene that we had high hopes for when we started creating this list. They’re one of the most well-known water treatment providers in Canada, boasting multiple branches nationwide—and we think we know why.
For starters, they offer a wide array of services that can solve different kinds of issues that homeowners may encounter with their tap at home. One perfect example of this is their water softening service, which we think was worth highlighting.
They use different tactics to eliminate hot water. For instance, they use salt-free conditioners, which do the same task of eliminating accumulated impurities, but this time for those brine-restricted areas.
Culligan Water is also one of the companies that we saw were ahead of the curve in terms of technology. We noticed this with their water softener systems, as they come in different varieties, with some being compatible with smart devices and Wi-Fi networks,
One of the things we noticed that may rub potential clients the wrong way was that their prices were a bit too high. Although one could argue that you’ll get what you’re paying for, which is exactly the case with this company.
The other gripe we have with Culligan Water is that they’re closed on Saturday and Sunday. In our books, this could be inconvenient for emergencies or for those who don’t have any other time to be at their house but during the weekends.
4. Pure Water Connection
Highlights: Water filtration, water delivery

Pros
- State-of-the-art filtration systems
- Relatively affordable prices
- 30+ years of experience
Cons
- Customer service can be improved
Pure Water Connection Water has made its name in Canada as one of the top providers of drinkable water in the country. Right off the bat, we noticed that they’re one of the more tenured options on this list, being founded back in 1989.
One reason that could be attributed to this longevity is their solid selection of filtration systems. For instance, they have a system that’s solely dedicated to balancing the pH levels of the client’s tap water, resulting in sweeter-tasting water.
They also offer the 2-stage filter system that you’d commonly find in households today—the one with the gooseneck-looking faucet.
We also liked how they’re a one-stop-shop for anything water and filtration, as they offer and deliver replacement filters as well as bottled water
The only negative thing we gleaned from our surveys was that their customer service could use some improvement. We’ve had several responders voice their concerns about Pure Water Connection’s unfriendly and unresponsive representatives.
This is, however, based on a select number of people only and the same experience can’t be said for all of their clients. If you do get a hold of them and get a chance to avail of their services, we think that you’ll be in great hands.
5. ProSolutions Inc
Highlights: Water filter installation, water softener installation

Pros
- Complete plumbing, cooling and heating package
- BBB Accredited
- Friendly staff and customer service
- Over 30 years of experience
Cons
- Limited range of water filtration and softening services
- Above average prices
We can see ProSolutions being a top pick for those looking for the complete package, as it offers plumbing, heating and cooling services. For this list, however, we’re going to focus on their water treatment services, which are worth highlighting.
They offer two main water treatment services, filtration and softening, both of which are done by one of their expert residential plumbers. And based on our interviewees, these experts are 100% professional and approachable, which is an instant A+ in our books.
We think it’s pretty neat that they don’t offer a single filtration system. Instead, what they’ll do is they’ll send one of their experts to survey the clients’ homes and ask them about their preferred unit and budget.
And from the clients’ answers in our surveys, ProSolutions Inc. will decide the best filtration system that’s fit for the home.
What sold us the most about them, however, is their long tenure in the field, being around for more than 30+ years. This confidence only grew further when we discovered that they’re BBB accredited.
If we were to nitpick something we didn’t like about them though is their relatively limited range of water treatment services.
Their offerings aren’t as in-depth as other companies in the field, and this may be because they’re not solely focused on that service alone. Furthermore, we thought that their prices were a bit too steep.
