Moreover, the customer support team takes calls on weekends and holidays. This is pretty convenient on our books, especially for those needing emergency repairs.

We were happy to learn that the repair technicians have the knowledge and skills to repair different types of ovens: gas, electric, induction, and convection. They also work on a variety of kitchen appliances!

Apart from that, they have experience repairing different oven brands, like Wolf, KitchenAid, and Samsung. Our team believes this is important because it means they can cater to a wide variety of clients.

It’s worth mentioning that they also do installation services—another convenient service, especially with heavy appliances. Plus, built-in ovens are hard to install!

Additionally, Appliance Repair Experts have maintenance services. Our team thinks this is particularly important for gas ovens to ensure safety in the household.

As for pricing, we appreciate the transparency and fair rates. Emergency repairs are sometimes not a part of the monthly budget, so affordable prices are important for our team.

We were just disappointed that some clients had inexperienced repair technicians. They mentioned that some were unaware of how to fix their oven’s issue due to the brand or type.

This is a problem we usually see in big companies, despite having a bunch of branches across the country. So, our team suggests asking for a technician familiar with your oven’s make and model.

Another improvement is that Appliance Repair Experts need to do follow-ups. We’ve heard some complaints about the repair technicians failing to return, even after promising a time frame.

Maysfield Appliance Repair is a shop that repairs and sells appliances and parts in Edmonton. We like that it has a physical shop, so you can visit it and check all the available appliances.

Moreover, they do deliveries, too. Pretty convenient, especially if you live outside of Edmonton.

We were stoked to hear they’ve been in the industry for over 40 years. Now, that’s a lot of experience in repairing ovens!

It’s quite convenient that since they have many replacement parts available, there won’t be too much waiting time in case the oven needs some parts replaced. 

Additionally, their expert technicians have checked these parts to ensure they’re working properly. We wouldn’t want you to end up with a faulty item, so this is good news!

Another plus is that they provide a three-month warranty for clients in Edmonton. Meanwhile, we appreciate that they give a six-month warranty for those outside the city since they need to bring the appliance to the shop.

One of the common factors we found from past clients is how the repair technicians value their client’s money.

For instance, many people we spoke with mentioned that they have informative staff  who give honest service. They also appreciated that the staff offered suggestions that helped them save some money on repairs.

That’s why we were disappointed to learn that there was a lack of follow-through from the repair technicians, especially with repairs needing replacement parts. In our opinion, this small issue could’ve been easily prevented with good customer service.

Lastly, some clients were dissatisfied with customer support. They failed to get assistance regarding issues with the oven repairs, sadly.

Advance Appliance’s team is focused on ensuring their clients are satisfied with its service. How’d we know this? Aside from everyday availability, they also have a quick repair service!

Moreover, the repair technicians are available for same-day and next-day service. That’s a huge advantage in our books, especially when ovens unexpectedly break down before a family gathering!

They promise a 10-minute response time during business hours and 1 hour after work hours. But note that there were differing opinions about this in our surveys.

Furthermore, while some liked the quick arrival time, others waited more than their chosen time frame. Frankly, we believe updating the clients can prevent this in the future.

Additionally, they provide 100% satisfaction. Our team was happy about this because it ensures that the technicians will return and do the job right in case of issues.

Another good news is that they only use OEM replacement parts. Although these don’t carry the manufacturer’s brand, they are made from the same parts as the original.

As a result, you can feel at ease knowing that your oven will have high-quality parts even after the repair. Plus, they carry a big inventory.

On the downside, they don’t repair all makes and models of ovens and other appliances. We were pretty bummed about this, but they are honest if they can’t fix it instead of trying to do what they aren’t experienced with.

One of the things we appreciate about North Star Repair’s staff is their specialization in commercial equipment repair. Not only do they cater to Edmonton, but they also service North Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.

On top of that, North Star Repair has been fixing kitchen equipment for over 50 years. Now, that’s a lot of experience! 

We also like that the staff employed here are qualified and certified repair technicians to ensure quality service.

Moreover, they have a vast background in fixing a wide selection of commercial kitchen appliances. This is good news, considering some oven repair shops in Edmonton don’t service some brands and models.

It’s worth highlighting that they only use OEM parts to ensure good-quality items for your oven. Plus, you can request the specific one you need if you prefer to fix your oven on your own.

Aside from those aspects, people with mobile kitchens (think: food trucks) can hire them, too. Not many repair shops offer this, so we were glad to report this.

Did we mention their rates are reasonable too? Small businesses can utilize North Star Repair’s affordability to save on repair costs.

Some minor issues are that they aren’t open on weekends and close quite earlier than we expected for a commercial equipment repair service. Oh, we’re quite disappointed that they also don’t service residential equipment.

The main factor we liked about Mr. Appliance is that it has various branches across Canada and the US. This allows clients to hire its repair services no matter which area they live in.

It also accepts many clients because it services residential and commercial appliance repairs. However, its technicians only fix light equipment for businesses.

Mr. Appliance is a Neighbourly company, something we like, since this means a long 1-year residential warranty for parts and labour. Meanwhile, commercial clients get 30 days of warranty–another plus for us!

They also repair all types of gas and electric ovens, regardless of the make and model. That’s something we appreciate so any client can hire them.

Other than that, we like that they provide replacement parts for any repair. Plus, they usually have a stock of parts from major brands.

Additionally, since they have a vast inventory of replacement parts, you can get your oven back in tip-top shape! If they have it on the vehicle, you may get your oven fixed on the same day!

On a negative note, we found that their parts and services are on the expensive side. The clients we talked with mentioned that Mr. Appliance was not even one of the lowest quotes they received.

Oh, the fast service is something we wanted to mention, even getting complimented by their responsiveness by past clients. The technicians were quick and arrived within the given time frame — pretty neat!

Sadly, they close just a tad early on Saturdays. Busy bees may need to take a day off from work if they can’t get an early Saturday appointment since Mr. Appliance gets many bookings.
