Moreover, we appreciate the friendly reception once you step into the building since it eases the nerves, particularly with first-timers. 

We are also delighted they are very hospitable and accommodating — entertaining questions and assisting with booking concerns.

For instance, they squeeze in a patient who accidentally made a wrong booking at a later date. We think it’s admirable, considering most patients need their results as soon as possible.

On the contrary, we noted some reports of delayed sessions and having patients wait longer than they should have due to late physicians or some other matters.

Finally, we like that they have clean facilities since it lets patients feel a sense of safety and leaves a good impression of their services.

Furthermore, we appreciate that they diligently inform patients on what to prepare before their scans to avoid delays or hiccups. 

We also think it’s good that the rates for each type of MRI service are available on their website.

Unfortunately, Alberta Health Care doesn’t cover the MRI services in Mayfair Diagnostics Mayfair Place since they are under contract with the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Moreover, we believe they should work on customer service, especially answering enquiries and addressing booking issues.

We also like that parking is not an issue here. Conveniently, you do not need a parking ticket or worry about a time limit since the facility has 30 reserved parking spaces for their patients.

Another thing we love is that their building is wheelchair-accessible to accommodate most patients, especially those unable to walk or disabled.

Lastly, we advise you to book a session as soon as needed since their MRI sessions are only available on weekdays, and the wait times can extend to weeks or months.

We think this process is more effective in monitoring the needs of each patient than having multiple people go through specific phases of your procedure.

It’s a one-stop shop for all medical tests or diagnostic services you may need, which we admire.

We think this setup is essential for those who have difficulty moving around or require multiple separate tests.

Notably, we learned that Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre is an affiliate of Alberta Health Services. Thus, they provide accessible and less expensive healthcare services.

Another thing we like is that they are available seven days a week, and their MRI operations can run until late in the evening on weekdays. This schedule is ideal since it enables the centre to accommodate more patients and be flexible with schedules.

Also, you can reach them through a call or visit them personally for a faster response. We also suggest you prepare some cash to pay for a pricey parking fee when you take a visit.

Although, we noted some complaints regarding unanswered calls, lack of follow-up responses, and late replies. We think they should improve on this, given the magnitude of some patients’ conditions or worries.

On the other hand, we appreciate that their building is wheelchair-accessible and has an elevator – a plus for accessibility!

Their services have expanded to advanced MRI, bone mineral densitometry, breast imaging, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, and other services.

We are impressed with their patient numbers, serving almost 500,000 patients each year. This high number is a testament to their reputation as a reliable radiology provider in Calgary. 

It’s also noteworthy that they have an online booking and cancelling system, which is a convenient option for patients.

But, full disclosure: we heard some negative experiences with their booking and scheduling. 

For instance, some patients have difficulty securing an appointment due to a lack of response. Some schedules even got mixed up by the staff, leading to cancelled or delayed sessions.

Moreover, we heard some patients had unpleasant encounters with a few staff, particularly the receptionists. So, we think they need to improve customer service to avoid stressing the patients out.

And as a heads up, we noticed that they have long wait times, but the actual MRI scan usually doesn’t exceed an hour.

Finally, we are impressed that they use advanced 3T MRI technology. This machine makes it possible to render detailed and thorough image scans and provide accurate diagnostic results.
