Spice Up Your Party with These Top 5 Event Venues in Toronto
Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time planner, I think we can all agree that finding the right venue for a party is a huge pain in the neck. Nonetheless, I always say that this step is all part of the fun of throwing a party for someone or yourself.
I can safely say that one of the perks of living in The 6ix is its abundance of event venues. However, after trial and error (and trust me there were a LOT of them), I think I’ve narrowed my list to the best ones and I’m here to share them with you!
I’ve also gone into detail about why you should check them out and why you may want to consider other options. So without further ado, let’s get this party started!

IQ Offices offers some of the most creative and unique venues we’ve seen in Toronto. Instead of offering a bland gathering hall for its clients, they have a terrace, a secret gold vault and a couple of classy lounges!
Other than their distinct charm, these venues vary in size, allowing potential clients to choose one that would suit their event the best. For instance, the King York Terrace provides stunning views of Toronto while holding a little over 300 guests.
We also liked how they had dedicated on-site coordinators with each venue, which was also highlighted by the clients we surveyed. These coordinators are highly praised for unorthodox solutions and easy-to-work-with nature.
However, IQ Offices lack the bigger-scaled halls akin to other venues in Toronto that are for conventions and corporate gatherings that can house 500+ guests. If you aren’t looking for anything of that scale though, you’re in good hands here.
Pros
- Wide variety of unique venues
- Dedicated on-site coordinators
Cons
- Lack of bigger-scaled halls
Went above and beyond
“Well-located space with a unique design for corporate and other private events. Jeri and the rest of the IQ team went above and beyond to ensure our event was successful!”

Would definitely recommend this to anybody
“Working with Jasmine and the IQ Vault was so easy, from start to finish! Planning and executing the day was seamless with all the support and regular contact we had with the events team.
The space was perfect for our needs and would definitely recommend this to anybody wanting an out-of-the-box solution to their next event.”

The Great Hall is one of Toronto’s most historic event venues, as it’s been home to local and international acts for countless years.
Aside from its rich history, The Great Hall is a solid option because of their different rooms and halls catering to events of different sizes.
This variety allows potential clients to work around their pax size, whether they’re planning to arrange an intimate part or invite over a thousand people.
We also appreciated how the venue offered flexible guidelines in terms of things like decor and vendors, as it can help clients personalize their events more.
Our only grip is the pricey rates. But honestly, if you’re paying for something historic such as this, it’s well worth the money!
Also, some people have reported that some parts of the building are showing their age, but that can be understood, given how long it’s been around.
Pros
- Historic building
- Wide variety of rooms
Cons
- Reports of signs of age
- Pricey rates
So much character and charm
“I’ve photographed several weddings in this beautiful space and I always love coming back! So much character and charm in the main hall. The light in the Drawing Room and the Conversation Room is beautiful for ceremonies & cocktail hour. Lovely staff too!”

Flawless
“My husband and I had our wedding at the great hall and it was flawless. This was the only venue we saw we were blown away and booked it immediately.
We got ready in the drawing room, had our ceremony in the conversation room, cocktail hour on the balcony, and then reception in the main hall. Andrea was absolutely wonderful to work with and all the staff were fabulous and so attentive.
The day was absolutely perfect and we are so glad we chose the great hall for our special day. We will definitely be back for more events in the future. Thank you for everything!!!

The Sheraton Centre in Toronto isn’t just a world-class hotel but an in-demand events venue as well, and it’s not hard to see why. For starters, it features a wide variety of halls that can hold a specific amount of people ranging from hundreds to thousands.
Plus, each of these halls is decorated lavishly, instantly giving the event a fancy and exclusive feel. There are 59 meeting spaces in Sheraton, with each one varying in capacity, but regardless of which you choose, you can expect premium quality.
You can also expect the same lavishness with their facilities, whether it be its restrooms, lobbies, etc. Plus, the hotel features more than ample parking spaces that could prove useful for your guests.
The location is as accessible as it gets as well, as it sits in the heart of Downtown, Toronto. This means that your guests can easily find their way to your event in no time!
The only thing that may throw off potential clients is their expensive rates, which is to be expected from a grand hotel such as Sheraton.
Pros
- Elegant interior
- Amazing food
- Wide variety of halls
Cons
- Pricey rates
Consistently delivers exceptional service
“The Sheraton consistently delivers exceptional service. Staff members are friendly, and professional, and go the extra mile to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. The atmosphere is one of refined elegance, creating a perfect haven for both business and leisure travellers.”
Michael Mckenzie, Google Review
Very friendly staff!
“I attended a conference there. One of the things I’ve always liked about the Sheraton is the Location, as it’s so easy to find, even if you’re not looking for it.
For example: I ducked out of the conference and walked across the street to a Chip Truck and ordered a Hot Dog and fries, it had started to rain, and I immediately sought shelter, and went down the steps to get out of the rain.
Without paying attention to my surroundings I just went inside the doors and instantly felt warm air, I was out of the cold, and as I walked along the corridor I found a seating area with tables, and I sat down to enjoy my hotdog and fries, I looked around to see where I was.
And I saw the entrance to the Sheraton Hotel, without knowing it, I’d found my way! That is one of the reasons I like this Hotel and the Layout. Very friendly staff, and comfortable seating areas to chill in.

STORYS is a charming building that resembles those industrial warehouse-type buildings you’ll find in New York. The event spaces are separated into their own floors, with each one featuring that intimate and old-timey charm.
Something that immediately grabbed our attention was the delicious dishes they had on their menu, as they weren’t your typical catering dishes.
Another thing we love about this place is that they would assign a team to assist their clients with the events. Usually, venues would only provide the place itself, which is why seeing this made us appreciate them more.
We did notice, however, that several of their past clients had problems with the building’s AC units breaking down, which can be a bummer.
Also, we think that the venue isn’t that flexible, since it can only hold a limited amount of people. But if you’re looking for a more intimate gathering, this is still a great option.
Pros
- Beautiful interior
- Variety of floors to hold events
- Great food
- Incredible team
Cons
- Reports of AC units breaking down
- Not that flexible
They were not just staff; they felt like part of our team
“I recently organized an event at this fantastic venue in Toronto, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of spectacular, largely due to the amazing team onsite. David was a tremendous help.
He wasn’t just efficient; he was warm and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us find the perfect setting for our event. His guidance was invaluable especially when planning an event from afar!
Tiffany was nothing short of amazing! She handled everything from catering choices to the AV equipment rental and furniture layout.
Her ability to juggle so many aspects effortlessly really took the stress out of the planning process for me and we were able to accomplish this in only a few days!
On the event day, Jennifer and Barbara were our lifelines. They were not just staff; they felt like part of our team, deeply invested in the success of our event.
Their proactive approach to solving problems and their constant availability to assist with any needs that arose made a world of difference. Their dedication ensured that our event was not only seamless but also incredibly enjoyable.
They truly went over and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and dedication to creating a successful event for us!
I am so grateful to have had such a supportive and capable team by my side. Thanks to them, our event was a success, and I am looking forward to hopefully coming back! A heartfelt thank you to David, Tiffany, Jennifer, and Barbara — you are all stars!”

Right off the bat, we loved how The Broadview Hotel doesn’t just offer huge spaces for their clients’ events. Instead, they offer halls, terraces and even rooftops that are filled with character, which could immediately elevate an event.
Also, if you plan on booking their rooftop event venue, you can give yourself and your company the benefit of seeing the spectacular Toronto skyline during your celebration. These views paired with their dedicated bar are a combination for a night to remember.
We also love the location of this hotel, as it’s in the heart of Toronto, making it easy to get to via public transit.
Their staff are highlighted by their past clients as well, stating that they were always eager to help, from the front desk up until the end of the event.
Your only problem with this venue is the price, as they aren’t typically the cheapest. However, we could say that it’s well worth it considering the location, amenities and additional services they provide.
Pros
- Amazing views
- Friendly staff
- Unique halls and rooms
Cons
- Pricey rates
Very friendly face at the front desk
“We held an event at the Broadview Hotel a couple of days ago, and I forgot to print menus for the bar. I was greeted by a very friendly face at the front desk, her name was Ann.
She was fantastic and helped me print menus and directed me to the nearest dollar store. She saved my butt. Thank you, Ann! The venue is beautiful as well”

The rooms are also really beautiful for getting ready with wonderful light which is always a plus. I always look forward to Broadview Hotel weddings!”
