But for us, Cleanr stands out for its competitive rates of $49 per 3001-4000 sq ft lawn. We think this aspect deserves appreciation because it ensures that homeowners with tight budgets can enjoy its services!

Another notable thing about Cleanr is its power raking services since some of its competitors don’t usually provide it. We also think this would be useful for customers whose yards have accumulated dead grass.

Although, we must mention that Cleanr Property Maintenance only started operating in 2016. We think its relative youngness in the field makes it fall short in terms of experience compared to most lawn carers in Winnipeg.

Nevertheless, customers we spoke with liked that Cleanr has responsive and attentive staff. 

We think this trait deserves a plus because clients that are busy or have an immediate concern about their yard wouldn’t have to worry about waiting for hours or days for a callback.

Weed Man Lawn Care (WM) has been a part of the lawn care industry since 1987, making it one of the long-standing maintainers in Winnipeg. With its extensive history, we’re confident that it’s a reliable and trusted provider of lawn care services. 

In addition to the standard lawn care services, WM provides insect and mosquito control services. These set it apart from others because this amenity, which is helpful for the health of the lawn and homeowners, isn’t usually available from its competitors.

We also like that WM partners with Project Evergreen, an environmental organization. We appreciate this collaboration because it’s beneficial to the environment and reflects its responsible approach towards lawn care.

We’re also glad WM is available on Saturdays since similar companies are usually off on weekends. This flexibility allows individuals with busy weekday schedules to still benefit from their professional lawn care services.

However, WM has a couple of drawbacks we think you should consider. One notable concern is the absence of service rates on its website, which makes it difficult for potential customers to evaluate and compare pricing options from the get-go.

Additionally, WM has instances of late or unanswered inquiries from customers. It’s a letdown because prompt and effective communication is crucial in any service-based industry.

Eco Green (EG) is a lawn care service specializing in weed control. We like this because clients looking specifically for effective weed management solutions can have an immediate go-to!

It’s also worth noting that EG also uses phosphate-free fertilizers. We think this aspect deserves a plus point because it leans toward sustainable lawn care and is one step forward to helping the environment.

From our research, we found that EG offers three distinct programs, namely EcoLite, Eco Smart, and EcoMax. We appreciate how these give clients a variety of options that factor in their budgets and needs.

Although each varies on season coverage, all of EG’s lawn care service plans include fertilizing and weed control. It’s handy because whichever they opt for, customers wouldn’t have to worry about missing the essentials for yard maintenance.

However, EG doesn’t offer insect control as part of its service portfolio. Aside from being usually included in standard lawn care services, it may be a drawback for customers looking for pest management solutions for their lawns.

We’re also a bit disappointed that EG also has no lawn mowing services. While it excels in weed control and fertilization, customers looking for a complete lawn maintenance package may need to look elsewhere.

Nevertheless, we’re still impressed since EG is an experienced lawn care provider because it’s been around since 1991. 

Although there are more seasoned providers out there, we’re confident its decades of industry experience can bring consistency and valuable quality of service.

Another thing we like about EG is its staff’s timely arrival to customers’ locations. It also has a number of loyal clients, which we think is noteworthy because it’s a testament to the consistency and quality of its services. 

Green Drop Lawns Ltd. (GDL) is an all-rounder lawn care company. We like that its amenities assure clients it can provide everything–whether it’s weed control, aeration, or other yard maintenance works!

Speaking of which, we also appreciate that it offers monthly plans for the whole season. Its Basic Plan provides essential lawn maintenance services, while its Premium Plan includes soil boosting and overseeding, catering to different client needs.

It’s also worth noting that GDL has been around since 1979. Aside from topping others in terms of years of experience, we think its extensive background instills confidence in Winnipeggers that its lawn care services are exceptional.

Besides that, one of the pros of GDL is its A+ rating and accreditation from Better Business Bureau (BBB). We think this recognition adds a layer of trust for potential clients seeking lawn care services.

However, there are several instances wherein customers of GDL didn’t receive callbacks or had delayed services. We consider it a drawback because such incidents could frustrate clients who expect timely and efficient service.

GDL also has a few unresolved reimbursement issues. We’re hoping it will address it because although errors are not totally unavoidable in business, rectifying things would make things better on customers’ behalf.

Green Blade Lawn Care (GBLC) is a well-established lawn care company whose operations date back to 1991. Its decades of experience are noteworthy because it ensures Winnipeggers that its services have passed the test of time.

We also like that GBLC has a variety of subscription-based services. 

All its four subscription packages include weeding and fertilizing that covers spring and early summer. We think it’s great that the packages include the basics while still allowing customers to choose for upgrades.

Similarly, GBLC caters to all types of lawn care maintenance, whether it’s mowing, fertilizing, or pest control. We think it’s great because it ensures customers can rely on GBLC for their lawn care needs.

That said, the most notable of GBLC’s plans is its Ultimate Plan. We think it’s the best plan budget-wise because it covers spring through late summer and has a more discount on additional services (aeration and topdressing).

Meanwhile, we think GBLC’s implementation of green and pet-friendly products in its lawn care deserves praise. Its eco-friendly approach earned the trust of the Winnipeg Humane Society, putting more confidence on behalf of clients.

Although GBLC boasts many positive aspects, it’s essential to acknowledge that it has instances of discourteous behaviour reported by some customers. Hopefully, the company could address this issue promptly.

Still, GBLC keeps us positive with its punctuality and responsiveness. From our surveys, these are the aspects that its happy customers are satisfied with, which is reassuring because time is always of the essence.
