Pros

  • Appointed King’s Counsel
  • Law firm’s founding partner
  • Leading expert in the 2014 Canadian Lexpert Directory
  • Office is available 24/7
  • Available for client site visits
  • Charges only for successful cases

Cons

  • High contingency fees

Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers was founded by Gary Neinstein, KC. For us, that shows his dedication to the field due to his commitment to his practice.

We also found Neinstein’s experience impressive. He was called to the bar in 1970, amassing over 50 years of experience!

Can we also praise his King’s Counsel appointment? That means he’s made several contributions to the field and has worked on complex cases—call us impressed!

But one of our favourite aspects about him is his many professional affiliations. Some of these are the Ontario Brain Injury Association, the Brain Injury Society of Toronto, and the Medical Legal Society of Toronto.

He also earned recognition as the leading expert in his field in the 2014 Canadian Lexpert Directory by earning many votes from his peers. For us, it shows the trust and reputation he’s gained over the years.

Another aspect worth highlighting is his many specializations. He works on motor vehicle accidents, long-term disability claims, medical malpractice, product liability, and insurance disputes.

It’s a plus that he focuses on cases involving client injury or denied compensation. Those cases are stressful already, and we’re glad he’s someone Torontonians can rely

on.

Neinstein’s law firm, Neinstein Personal Injury Lawyers, is highly accessible. Their office is available 24/7, and we appreciate there’s a live online agent you can talk to anytime!

Additionally, we like that their firm is conveniently located since there are bus stops nearby, making it easy to go to for commuters. Also, Neinstein and his staff are willing to travel to their client’s location, which is good news.

It’s notable that the law firm offers free consultations, and they will only charge their clients if the case is successful! Personal injury cases are stressful enough, and that’s why we commend this.

But with outstanding qualifications come high contingency rates. The law firm has high fees, according to our client surveys, especially with Neinstein’s excellent capabilities!

  • Earned several awards
  • Frequently invited by news media outlets
  • Offers free case reviews
  • Law firm has 24/7 available staff

Cons

  • Free case review on weekends only

What we found impressive about Brenda Hollingsworth is she’s the one who leads the personal injury practice at Auger Hollingsworth. The way we see it, it speaks greatly about her expertise.

On top of that, she’s the law firm’s co-founder alongside her husband. In our opinion, this shows her dedication to Toronto residents undergoing injury cases.

As a personal injury lawyer, her recognition is worth highlighting. She received the Ottawa Business Journal – Forty Under 40 in 2008.

Besides that, we think it’s impressive she received Ottawa’s Business Woman of the Year Award in 2009. The following year, she was one of the Top 50 People in the Capital by Ottawa Life Magazine.

Notably, Hollingsworth has been interviewed as a media expert by several news media outlets in the country. In our opinion, her awards and recognition show her outstanding expertise.

Her practice areas focus on accidents, injuries, and long-term disability insurance denials. Clearly, Hollingsworth is a go-to for personal injury cases, don’t you think?

It almost feels like a bonus that each client gets a free case review at Auger Hollingsworth. That’s good news since there’s no commitment and no upfront fees.

What’s even better is you can speak directly to a lawyer. However, their free case review is only available Mondays to Fridays—bad news if you have a busy schedule.

On the upside, we appreciate Auger Hollingsworth’s responsiveness regarding inquiries. You can call them anytime as they have available staff 24/7.

Pros

  • Founder of Mazin & Associates, PC
  • Office is open daily
  • Staff speaks in different languages
  • Provides free case evaluation
  • Has a 24/7 live agentv

Cons

  • Bus stops are far from office

A personal injury lawyer on our list is Gary Mazin, also the founder of Mazin & Associates, PC. This Toronto law firm has consultation offices in nearby cities, which makes them highly accessible!

One of the things we admire about Mazin is his dedication to personal injury clients. He shows that by being president of the Brain Injury Association of Peel and Halton and director at the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto.

Additionally, we commend him for his constant involvement in helping individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries. In fact, he works with Lyndhurst Centre for Spinal Cord Injuries, showing his dedication to personal injury cases.

Besides that, we think highly of his expertise, appearing frequently at the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Appeal, and the License Appeal Tribunal. For us, it shows that Mazin will fight for his clients all the way!

He also has a pretty vast practice area, specializing in injuries, accidents, product liabilities, and wrongful death. It’s pretty convenient you can hire him, and he will most likely have handled a case similar to yours.

One of the reasons we like Mazin’s law firm, Mazin & Associates, is that you can talk to a live agent anytime. Regardless of where you are, we think it’s convenient there’s someone available to talk to if you need a personal injury lawyer.

Moreover, we appreciate the free evaluation of your case. To boot, their law firm is open every single day, including weekends!

Making them even more accessible is their staff members who are fluent in different languages. That’s good news for immigrants and newcomers in the country.

A little issue we found is that bus stops are pretty far from their office. It’s not as accessible to commuters as we’d like unless you have someone driving you, which we suggest if you have an injury.

Pros

  • Law firm’s founder
  • No upfront fees
  • No fee unless case is won or settled
  • Staff is fluent in different languages

Cons

  • Office is closed on weekends
  • No live agent available

For over 30 years, Salvatore Grillo has specialized in personal injury litigation in the GTA. He’s also the founder of Grillo Law, which he established in 1985—that’s a lot of years in the business!

Part of the reason we included Grillo on our list of the top personal injury lawyers in Toronto is due to his dedication. It’s impressive that he’s always ready for trial.

In fact, he has appeared in all levels of Court in Ontario. The way we see it, he has a wide range of legal expertise, from minor to major personal injury cases!

Speaking of legal expertise, we admire Grillo for having a lot of areas of practice! He works on cases involving motor vehicle accidents, slips and falls, catastrophic injuries, long-term disability, and product liability.

As we mentioned before, we admire Grillo’s dedication to the field. He and his staff provide free consultations, making it easy for clients to look for a personal injury lawyer they feel at ease with.

However, unlike other law firms on our list, we noticed no live agent available. It also doesn’t help that the Grillo Law office is closed on weekends.

On the upside, there’s no need to worry about upfront fees. Clients don’t pay fees unless the case is settled or won—great news if your work is interrupted due to your injury.

Lastly, we commend Grillo for employing a diverse team fluent in different languages. It’s helpful for the multicultural city of Toronto!

Pros

  • A partner for over 40 years
  • Has worked on high-profile cases
  • Has earned high peer ratings
  • Law Society of Ontario’s Certified Specialist
  • Offers free consultations
  • Law firm has a live chat agent

Cons

  • Office is closed on weekends
  • Law firm doesn’t solely focus on personal injury

What we most like about L. Craig Brown is his lawyer DNA. He comes from a family of lawyers and has impressively been a partner at TR Law for over 40 years.

Actually, he was called to the bar in 1980. That’s 43 years of experience in law—an impressive feat!

As a personal injury lawyer, he specializes in many areas such as accidents, injuries, and product liabilities. We admire his legal expertise.

We admire his focus on serious injuries and trauma, securing victories in high-profile cases. One of which is the $3.5 million lawsuit for a 16-year-old boy who sustained head injuries from a faulty bicycle.

A notable aspect is his recognition as an expert in his field by Lexpert, The Best Lawyers and Martindale-Hubbell—all peer-reviewed.

What’s more, the Law Society of Ontario recognized him as a Certified Specialist. Why is that worth highlighting? It shows his exemplary work in his field of expertise.

Plus, we admire his work with organizations that assist persons with disabilities. Some are the Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario and the Spinal Cord Injury Ontario.

The law firm that Brown works at, TR Law, has been around for over 85 years, specializing in civil litigation. A minor drawback is that they don’t focus solely on personal injury.

On a good note, we appreciate their free consultations. They also have a live chat agent, which is convenient if you need quick responses.

It makes them highly available, too. That’s a good thing because we need to slash some points for availability since their office is closed on weekends.
