GLG LLP is a boutique, full service firm in Toronto, specializing in business law, real estate law, and litigation. That means they can handle pretty much all aspects related to the case, which speaks volumes about their expertise.
They’re actually both barristers and solicitors, which, again, shows their expertise because they can handle court and outside-court matters effectively.
From what we’ve seen, these guys can provide the same level of service you usually get in a big law firm. Even their founding partners worked in one of those big law firms in the country, which we noticed made them acquainted with a high level of service.
When we spoke with them, we learned that they handle small and large cases, which is very convenient because they can work with small businesses as well as multinational corporations.
Their expertise is extensive, including business planning, purchase and sale of business, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate agreements. But we like their tailored services the most.
Basically, you can hire them based on your budget or needs, on an ad hoc or ongoing basis or if you want them as in-house counsel working part time.
It did take a few days before we received a response to our inquiry, but once you finally get a hold of them, their lawyers are very responsive.
Pros
- Works with small businesses and corporations
- Has an extensive scope of work
- Offers tailored services
- Provides “big law firm” level of service
Cons
- Some delayed inquiry responses
Easy to work with
“David and Elie both did an incredible job facilitating the sale of my business. These guys really (like, really) care about their clients. The transaction was quick and went very smoothly. Even my business broker said “wow…you’ve got some really great lawyers”. David and Elie, thanks so much for your help! All the best!”

Highly dedicated team
“I recently had the pleasure of working with Bhupinder and his team, and I can’t recommend them enough. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable, making the whole legal process easy and stress-free.
What impressed me the most was their dedication to my case. They explained everything clearly, making sure I understood each step and what could happen. They were always available to answer my questions and responded quickly to my emails and calls.
I highly recommend them for anyone in need of excellent legal representation. If I ever need legal help again, GLG LLP will be my first choice without hesitation.”

One of our corporate law firm picks is Ordower Law. They’re based in Toronto, but what’s incredible is that they work with clients all over Ontario.
They’re pretty much a small firm, but we were surprised to see that they can still handle many clients at once. Their focus is mainly on new businesses and startups, but that also means they don’t specialize in big companies like multinational corporations.
Their practice areas are incorporations, agreements, and transactions. Plus, we learned that they handle business and professional incorporations, which is nice because they can basically do everything for you.
We love that they also offer 30-minute consultations for free, so you don’t have to worry about paying for that. It’s convenient that you don’t even have to go to their office because they do phone and email appointments.
During the consultation, we learned that their fees are reasonable in Toronto. They even have all-inclusive packages, like the federal incorporation package, which starts at $799 and already includes all government filings.
Honestly, we like how personalized their services are because you will actually talk to your lawyer from the very beginning. We also appreciate their patience and for not rushing their clients, even when we asked questions over and over again.
Pros
- Accepts clients across Ontario
- Provides free 30-minute consultations
- Fees are reasonable
- Offers all-inclusive packages
Cons
- Not ideal for multinational companis
Incredible assistance by the team
“The team at Ordower law were great to work with. They not only completed our incorporation of a new business seamlessly and quickly, they also provided a lot of additional guidance. They were very responsive and easy to get in touch with any time we had questions. They also provided guidance in other areas, such as connecting us with other business services we needed, such as accountants. I shopped around before deciding to work with Ordower, I would highly recommend this firm. They are efficient, knowledgeable, professional and very reasonable fees for their services.”

Quick service and very responsive
“Mathew, Laura and Jana are excellent at providing the incorporation service. I had a call with Jana to inquire about setting up an incorporation and she immediately sent me the details on the service they provide. Within a week, I had my incorporation setup done and the entire team is informative and excellent. I will continue to reach out to this team for any assistance/questions and suggest the same for people looking out for setting up a new incorporation.
Thank you Ordower team.”

Jonathan Kleiman, a barrister and solicitor, is kind of like the all-in-one destination for your business’ legal matters. He specializes in corporate law, business law, and small claims court.
What’s remarkable about Kleiman is he handles small and big cases. It’s because he works with startups, established businesses, and corporations, which also shows his wealth of knowledge in various matters.
He can pretty much provide legal assistance for any issues, like negotiations, agreements, business litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and he can offer general corporate counsel if you need a main lawyer.
We were happy that we didn’t need to pay for a consultation since he provides this for free. This also runs for half an hour, which is more than enough time to get a feel of the possible working relationship.
During that time, we noticed how helpful he was. We also liked his honesty, and we never felt pressured by him because he was patient and professional.
It was also a surprise to hear his voice immediately. We later learned he actually answers his own phone and any potential client can call him seven days a week.
But the issue here is he can be too busy, and there were times we couldn’t get a hold of him. Still, the personable approach won us over.
Pros
- Handles small and big cases
- Works with startups and corporations
- Provides free 30-minute consultations
- Available seven days a week
- Lawyer answers his own phone
Cons
- Can be difficult to reach sometimes
Professional and responsive
“Jonathan is a great lawyer, I have a great experience with Jonathan. Any time of the day I would email or call him and he would get back to me right away. He is professional and very caring and never get frustrated. I highly recommend Jonathan.
Thank you Jonathan.”

One of the things we like about Pawlina Law is that their legal services are focused on businesses. For us, that shows their expertise and knowledge in the area.
They focus on assisting small and medium-sized businesses, but that’s bad news for big companies.
That said, their focus on these businesses allows them to provide affordable fees. We were pleasantly surprised that they were one of the most competitive in the area.
Their practice areas are business law, corporate law, and intellectual property law. We like that they provide a wide range of services as well, such as incorporation, amalgamation, equity financing, and annual filings and resolutions.
We also appreciate that they welcome all inquiries. They even encourage potential clients to contact them with any questions, which we saw as kind of like a free consultation.
The best part of it all is they’re very proactive. We even received an immediate reply regarding our inquiry, and we were surprised at how nice and detailed their response was.
From what we’ve seen, they really take care of their clients. We noticed how incredible their attention to detail was and their very supportive nature.
Despite not being ideal for multinational companies since this is a small corporate law firm, they’re still a solid choice because it doesn’t affect their professional approach.
Pros
- Works with small and medium-sized businesses
- Welcomes all inquiries
- Rates are within the competitive range
- Quick to respond
Cons
- Not ideal for large companies
All around incredible team
“I have an accounting firm and really enjoy working with Karol at Pawlina Law with my clients’ legal needs. He helps with incorporations, resolutions, and other corporate matters, and our clients are always extremely happy with Karol’s knowledgeable, timely answers and professionalism. I always refer people to Karol because he’s the best!”

Jahanshahi Law Firm serves anyone in the GTA, making them an accessible law firm for Torontonians. But the reason we like them is because of their expertise in corporate law.
From what we’ve seen, their team is highly experienced in simple and complex corporate matters. They even offer a bunch of services despite not having a large team, which is really impressive.
Their practice areas are corporate and commercial law, investor representation, and real estate law. Plus, they offer business negotiations, amalgamations and dissolutions, business formation, corporate records and compliance, among others.
They even serve e-commerce businesses, which not all are experts on. Basically, we think they’re a one-stop shop for business owners in Toronto.
These folks cater to startups, existing businesses, and investors. However, we found their limitation: they’re not ideal to serve large companies.
What’s nice is we noticed they’re really responsive. When we sent an inquiry, we received a response just a day later.
Besides that, we appreciate their transparency, especially regarding fee structures. Our team noticed that they were very thorough when the rates were discussed properly, which we were happy about because there won’t be surprise charges.
Overall, they’re a great corporate law firm, just not for multinational companies since their team is pretty small.
Pros
- Offers a bunch of services
- Provides e-commerce services
- Has a responsive team
- No surprise charges
Cons
- Not ideal for big companies
Very meticulous lawyer
“Shahriar excels as a corporate lawyer, with unparalleled attention to detail. I would highly recommend him for reviewing and negotiating contracts.”
