Pros
- Accepts walk-ins
- Quick turnaround
- Has competitive rates
- Repairs all kinds of vacuums
Cons
- Closed on Sundays and Mondays
With over 35 years of experience, Canada Vacuum offers a variety of vacuums and parts to service and repair all makes and models, including both residential and commercial.
We’re pleased to see that they truly work on all kinds of vacuums, from an Electrolux to a Dyson to a seven-year-old Kenmore — they’ll get it running again for you!
On top of this, we like that they carry lots of parts for a wide array of vacuums, and if they don’t have what you need, they’ll gladly order it for you. This way, you won’t have to go through the hassle of buying the part yourself.
We also appreciate that they accept walk-ins, and they’ll get straight to work with your vacuum and have it repaired in no time. For instance, a client dropped their vacuum off to get it quoted, and after three hours, they got to pick it up good as new.
But, just a heads up, they’re closed on Sundays and Mondays. So, you might want to schedule your drop-off to avoid being welcomed by a “Sorry, we’re closed” sign.
Nonetheless, Canada Vacuum is a great place to start once you notice something wrong with your vacuum; they’re quick and affordable, too!

Pros
- Offers free online estimates
- No-fuss warranty repairs
- Doesn’t upsell unnecessary services or products
- Has many repeat customers
Cons
- Closed on weekends
- Some parts are not OEM
Vacuum Depot has a team of technicians who specialize in repairing all types of vacuum cleaners, including central vacuum, upright, canister, and handheld models.
What we like most about them is that they don’t make a fuss about clients who go in for repairs covered by warranty, even if the unit wasn’t from them. You won’t have to go through all the trouble of answering unnecessary questions just to make a warranty claim.
And speaking of avoiding unnecessary things, we applaud them for not taking advantage of a somewhat stressful situation and upselling services or products to make a quick profit. From what we’ve seen, they carefully explain the situation and give you a realistic quote.
However, we’re quite iffy about the reports we noted regarding some parts getting switched to non-OEM (original equipment manufacturer). Though they did disclose this fact during the repair and brought the price down, some clients still wanted the part to be OEM.
On a positive note, we’re impressed by the number of repeat customers they have, with some making Vacuum Depot their vacuum guy for over three years — and that’s on consistency!
Should you consider bringing your vacuum here for repair, we suggest you visit their website for a free online estimate.

Pros
- Offers labour and parts warranty
- Provides pick up and delivery services
- Handles all brands and models
- Fast response and turnaround times
Cons
- Slightly pricier than competitors
Since its establishment in 1995, All City Vacuum and Appliances continues to serve Winnipeggers appliance sales, repairs and parts. Their services include vacuums, refrigerators, washers, dryers and more.
We think it’s great that they service and repair vacuum cleaners of all brands and models, especially if your vacuum is relatively old and scarce in the market.
It’s also worth mentioning that they provide pick-up and delivery services, so you won’t have to leave the comforts of your home. In addition, this is a convenient option for busy or elderly individuals.
As for their rates, we noticed that some services and parts can be slightly pricier than their competitors. That said, we advise you to check out prices in the market to compare if it’s worth outsourcing.
Another thing we like is their speedy response and turnaround for both scheduled and same-day repairs. You can expect to bring home a well-functioning vacuum before they close.
And for future reference, you can claim a repair or replacement just in case you experience post-repair issues at no cost. So don’t forget to discuss their 90-day warranty on labour and the manufacturer’s warranty on parts.
Overall, All City Vacuum and Appliances is a reliable vacuum repair place, especially if you’d prefer they come to pick it up and deliver it back to you.

Pros
- Provides a 30-day service and parts warranty
- Offers pick-up and delivery
- Offers in-home central vacuum services
- Services all makes and models
Cons
- Pricier than other companies
- Some reports of unresponsiveness
Tache Vacuum Center is a full-service vacuum store dedicated to being a one-stop shop for all vacuuming needs. They offer complete tune-ups, repair services for all vacuums and a wide selection of vacuum-related products.
A stand out about them is their in-home central vacuum services, which means you won’t have to bother to come to them since they come to you instead. Plus, they’ll clean your central vacuum pipes when they tune up your system.
And should it require a more complex repair, they’ll gladly remove the system, repair it at their shop, then deliver and re-install the vacuum.
We also like that you have the option to avail of a pick-up and delivery service for your vacuum repair.
On the downside, we noted a couple of reports of unresponsiveness, particularly unanswered calls during business hours. Some were due to the store being understaffed or no one manning the counter.
We also found that their services are pricier than other stores, especially for an initial consultation or inspection — it can cost up to $10 to $20 more than their competitors.
Regardless, we recommend Tache Vacuum Center for your vacuuming needs and a 30-day service and parts warranty for your peace of mind!

Pros
- Specializes in central vacuums
- Provides limited warranty
- Accurate assessments and execution
- Offers lasting and quality products
Cons
- Does not work on all makes and models
- Some reports of unresponsiveness
The unique thing about Vacuflo Manitoba is that they exclusively work with built-in central vacuum systems, such as replacing retractable hoses and repairing an old system, the whole nine yards.
On the other hand, this also means they don’t handle all makes and models of vacuums. So unless you’re not planning to replace your old system with Vacuflo or repair a decade-old Vacuflo system, their services are not for you.
But, we have to give them a hand for their impeccable experience and skills in handling simple to complex central vacuum needs. Many clients praised their services; in fact, most continue to patronize them for their professional and prompt repairs, upgrades, and installments.
It’s also a plus in our books that their products are long-lasting and made of durable material. From our survey, lots of clients have been enjoying and using their central vacuum system for more than a decade — some clients even recommend their friends to switch to Vacuflo.
We’re also quite pleased about their limited warranty since their technicians and staff are accommodating, knowledgeable and get things done ASAP.
Lastly, we like that you can count on Vacuflo Manitoba to make an accurate assessment of your vacuuming troubles and remedy it appropriately.
