- Provides Guarantee of Completion
- Has competitive pricing
- Excellent team of professionals
Cons
- Can be hard to book during peak seasons
Our #1 choice is First Aid Training Calgary, and for good reason!
What we like most about First Aid Training Calgary is that they’ve got your back. So, if you sign up for their courses and things don’t go as planned, no worries!
You can retake the course without shelling out extra cash, just a small examination fee ranging from $5 to $25.
They also have a wide range of courses such as standard, emergency and child care first aid, CPR, basic life support, health and safety and first responder training.
And we’re glad their training course rates are more affordable than their competitors. For instance, their Standard first aid training with CPR/AED is only $124 compared to the $145 to $185 market range.
It’s also a plus in our books that you can go for online sessions or show up in person. Blended sessions are also popular for those juggling a busy work schedule during the day.
Conveniently, they hold over 150 courses a month and are open seven days per week until the evening — a ten out of ten for flexibility.
However, we think they can further improve their ways to engage trainees over their online courses since there can be a gap or dissociation if you’re only looking at a screen.
Nonetheless, we recommend First Aid Training Calgary for its excellent team of professionals and track record of successful groups and individuals receiving their certifications.

Pros
- Has competitive rates
- Has an online booking system
- Offers corporate discounts
- Highly engaging instructors
- Provides mobile services
Cons
- Closed on weekends
- Some reports of unresponsiveness
ProSafe First Aid Training catches our eye because they offer mobile and on-site Standard First Aid Training. This is great news for corporations or businesses who prefer training at their office.
On top of this, corporates can also go for their discounts and special offers to cut down on training costs.
Another thing we like is that their instructors know how to keep things interesting and engaging. So, you can count on having a good time during the whole course; no need to worry about dozing off in class.
We also appreciate that their instructor encourages questions and shares his experiences to give you a clearer picture of what might happen during a crisis.
But we’re a bit iffy after hearing reports of unresponsiveness, like unanswered calls and emails. This seems to be a bigger deal with booking confirmations and keeping clients in the loop about their certificate status.
On a positive note, they also have competitive rates that typically cost $128 for standard first aid training with CPR and AED, and you can get a recertification for just $95.
Lastly, ProSafe First Aid Training is a solid choice for a fun and engaging course. Conveniently, you can schedule your sessions using their online booking system from their website.

Pros
- Offers blended courses
- Highly responsive and engaging
- Has an online booking system
- Provides private onsite trainings
Cons
- Has a small team
Big Hearts First Aid Calgary Central offers Standard and Emergency First Aid, Standard Child Care First Aid, Basic Life Support, CPR/AED, and more.
It’s also worth mentioning that for most classes, the sessions get wrapped up in less than a day, and you’ll walk away with an e-certificate once you’ve completed the course.
To make things more accessible, you can opt for their blended course, where half of your classes happen face-to-face and the other half online. Many clients are happy and satisfied with this setup because it works well with their busy schedules.
In addition, we like that Big Hearts First Aid is proud to offer private On-Site First Aid & CPR training for your business. You’ll only need six participants to qualify for on-site training at no extra fee!
However, we’re quite concerned about their availability of instructors since they only have a small team of four in Calgary. It limits the number of private sessions they can accept, so call ahead to check their availability.
Fortunately, their staff is highly responsive, so you can expect someone to answer your call instantly or respond to your email within the day.
Overall, you can book a session on Big Hearts First Aid’s website to experience an interactive and productive first-aid course.

Pros
- Offers a wide range of courses and training
- Provides private classes
- Highly interactive and comprehensive classes
- Has a large team of instructors
Cons
- Some reports of class cancellations
Calgary First Aid provides top-quality first aid and CPR courses, and the certificates they issue to participants align perfectly with Alberta OH&S standards.
We like that they offer a variety of safety and first aid and CPR courses, including intermediate and basic first aid, CPR C, A, and BLS, as well as mask fit testing and food safety certification.
It’s also a plus in our books that registration only takes a couple of minutes. You can do it online, in person, via email, telephone or via chat on their website.
However, we did come across a few concerns. Some clients have mentioned that the training center occasionally cancels sessions at the last minute, leading to conflicts and inconvenience for those involved.
We suggest you message or call them about two days before your session. It can save you the hassle of showing up and finding out your class is cancelled.
Another thing we appreciate is that they provide private classes for groups of any size. You can choose whether they come to you or you set up a private course right at their training center — quite the flexibility, eh?
Finally, we’re impressed by the large number of instructors they have. And from our surveys, they’re all highly engaging and deliver thorough sessions for their groups.

Pros
- Has a booking calendar
- Establishes fun and productive classes
- Provide partial online courses
- Offers a variety of courses
Cons
- Can improve facilities
- Pricier than others
Titan Health & Safety offers a range of courses, including first aid, CPR, H2S Alive, and various workplace safety training programs.
Adding to that, we appreciate their efforts to make every session fun and productive by throwing in some jokes here and there rather than just reading through the book or following step-by-step.
We also find it quite commendable that they provide remote and blended courses. This means you can continue your training even if you can’t make it to the training center in person.
Another handy feature is the booking calendar they provide on their website. You can check out all the time slots available for the next weeks and months, so it’s a breeze to find what works with your schedule.
But we noticed that the reception area is a bit uncomfortable to wait in, especially if people are coming in and out because there are only a couple of chairs. It would be great if they could add more seating or make the area more spacious.
We also observed that their prices might lean toward the higher side. For instance, their standard first aid course is $150, and recertification will set you back $105.
Still, we recommend Titan Health & Safety since they have a team of instructors who spice up and make the learning experience engaging and relatable.
