Xtreme Controls technicians have over five years of odor elimination experience. While that may not seem like a lot, we don’t mind. 

Why, exactly? It’s because we commend them for employing various methods and tools to better trace and remove foul odor. They also have experienced inspectors who can identify where the odor is coming from, whether it’s due to mold or spoiled food.

We also appreciate that they have high-quality equipment for indoor air quality testing. Their equipment allows them to test for various contaminants, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and pollen—ideal for individuals with allergies.

It’s worth noting that they are open daily, making them accessible for both air quality and odor removal services. Also, we were glad to learn they have 24/7 emergency services—convenient, no?

In fact, they can sometimes squeeze you in for same-day appointments. That’s despite having a smaller team than other air quality and odor removal services in Toronto.

However, Xtreme Controls is relatively new to the industry. Nonetheless, their clients have complimented their excellent service!

A notable aspect is their service area. They cater to Toronto, the GTA, and the nearby communities! That’s a pretty big reach!

For us, a standout feature of CleanFirst Restoration is the disinfectants they use. They have plant-based disinfectants, which we applaud because it’s safe and eco-friendly.

Furthermore, their disinfectants quickly dry, and you can return to your office or home in two hours. But the best part? Worrying about wiping surfaces is unnecessary, too, because they use food-grade products.

On top of that, CleanFirst Restoration tests for a broad scope of contaminants and mold spores. They also have mold removal and remediation, which we found is a usual suspect when there’s a bad odor—hence, it’s definitely needed!

Although we admire their thorough work, as evidenced by compliments from past clients, there’s still a downside—it’s their availability.

Unfortunately, CleanFirst Restoration doesn’t have emergency services and is unavailable on Sundays. They also close earlier on Saturdays, so we suggest booking an appointment quickly!

Renew Air Asbestos & Mold Removal’s location in North York doesn’t stop them from serving Toronto residents. We think it’s convenient they cater to the surrounding areas, making them accessible to anyone in the GTA.

They have a decade of experience in the field. For us, that’s more than enough years to gain the right skills for air quality and odor removal services.

Speaking of services, they offer pollutant removal, air sampling, and disaster restoration. We like that you can go to them if you experience flooding during heavy rains, especially since that can cause bad air quality and odor.

Although we appreciate their offerings, we found them more limited than others. Their odor elimination service is lacking, too, since they mostly focus on pollutants.

Part of their pollutant removal is eliminating mold, asbestos, and lead. Mold can smell foul, and we appreciate their expertise in removing it completely, as evidenced by positive reviews from our client surveys.

So, if there are other odor types you need to remove, like pet urine, tobacco, and skunk spray, we think you may need to check other companies. Still, they cater to anyone who needs good indoor air quality, which is most important for us. 

A positive aspect we found about Renew Air Asbestos & Mold Removal is their daily availability! They’re open 24/7, making them easy to contact in emergencies!

Ultimate Mold Crew, as their name indicates, specializes in mold removal. They’re a convenient company, offering a one-service solution to anyone suffering from odor in their homes and bad air quality.

They’ve been around for over ten years. On top of that, they cater not just to Toronto, but also the rest of the GTA—that’s a lot of clients, no?

Their professional affiliations and certifications got our attention. They’re IIRC certified, IAC2 (International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants) certified, and have MICRO Certified Mold Inspectors in their team.

For us, these certifications show their proficiency in indoor air quality. Those are important, too, given that a high level of skills is needed in the field, in our opinion.

It’s another advantage that they won the HomeStars Best of Award in 2021. It shows their work and service quality, don’t you think?

Some services they specialize in are air quality testing, disinfection, and cleaning. Plus, we like that they offer mold removal—a common odor issue due to Toronto’s humidity.

A small problem is that Ultimate Mold Crew doesn’t specifically offer odor elimination. The silver lining, however, is they provide cleaning and disinfection services to remove foul smell!

Additionally, we commend them for using eco-friendly products. Not only that, they also offer coronavirus cleaning to ensure an even better indoor air quality!

Ultimate Mold Crew is open any day of the week. However, they don’t have emergency services, which we feel can be useful, especially since they close earlier on weekends.
