Seventh Heaven Event Catering sprang into existence 23 years ago under the guidance of the Spano brothers, with all three having prior experience in the kitchen. What we admire is their love and passion for food, essential aspects of the catering industry!
We like their coverage area, catering to the Greater Toronto Area despite the frequent traffic congestion! Plus, they serve small and large-scale events, ranging from intimate dinners to grand gatherings accommodating up to 2,000 guests—impressive!
Additionally, we appreciate their range of services. One of these is event planning, which we know can be stressful.
Furthermore, we like that they have a team of event planners to assist clients in organizing venue selection, rentals, entertainment, decorations, lighting, audiovisual equipment, and even outdoor activities! Fewer headaches for the client, no?
Their food selection is worth noting, offering delectable dishes from cookies to tacos to pasta. They even serve meat platters for meat-lover clients and guests! Yum!
However, we would like to see their available menus online. In our opinion, adding this can help clients see their food variety quickly.
On a good note, we appreciate that they accommodate anyone with dietary or personal preferences. Their culinary team can cook any food, such as vegan, vegetarian, Kosher, Halal, and gluten-free options!
Additionally, Seventh Heaven Event Catering provides beverage stations. Not only do they serve alcoholic drinks, but they also offer stations for tea, coffee, and soft drinks!
Unfortunately, their office is closed on weekends. Their responsiveness during regular work hours makes up for it, though!

For over 20 years, Decadent Catering has served the GTA for any event, whether a birthday, wedding, or corporate dinner. We also like that they offer event planning, which we found highly convenient for clients.
Moreover, we appreciate their assistance searching for the perfect venue for your event. We understand it can be challenging, so we give them points for this!
In addition to that, their event planning includes floral arrangements, design, lighting and audiovisual, decorations, and entertainment. Notably, they arrange valet services for your guests’ convenience!
A standout aspect is their commitment to sustainability through their recycling program, diverting 90% of waste from landfills and partnerships with eco-conscious companies. They also use biodegradable materials and serve only Fair Trade coffee beans.
Plus, we like their focus on purchasing local and seasonal ingredients. This ensures that their menu will have better-tasting food, including our favourites, the southwest salad bowl and gnocchi!
We also appreciate Decadent Catering for their various catering options, such as stationary platters, buffet style, and plated dinners. Also, we like their flexibility on different occasions, from formal to casual dinners.
A minor drawback is their office is closed on weekends. We were also disappointed to hear a few reports regarding miscommunication.

Chef Roni Prizant founded Chef On The Go Catering, a boutique catering service that serves Toronto and its surrounding areas. One of the things we like is that aside from catering, they deliver boxed meals that are ideal for small parties at home.
They primarily cater to private, lifecycle, corporate, and fundraising events. In addition, they cater weddings with guests of up to 200.
A notable feature is they are an on-the-go service, allowing them to bring a chef and a kitchen directly to your location instead of just delivering the food. Some of our must-try are the mini crab fritters and pulled pork sliders!
Additionally, they offer cooking demos and workshops at events, a pretty unique service for a catering company! It’s ideal for intimate gatherings or team building, keeping your guests full of food and knowledge!
Even better is their wide array of interactive food stations to add a unique touch to your event. They have crepe, poutine, oyster, and liquid nitrogen ice cream stations. Pretty remarkable, if you ask us!
Moreover, we found their event planning services valuable as they relieve stress for clients. Clients can enjoy a stress-free day with an event concierge taking care of all the details, from rentals to hiring staff.
Chef On The Go Catering’s office is unfortunately unavailable on weekends. But they are responsive on weekdays, which we appreciate.

What started as a small business grew to operate out of two kitchens in Toronto. Now, Smokin Bones BBQ Catering caters to events of up to 1,000 guests in the GTA.
Their office is open six days a week, specifically catering to outdoor events given their BBQ-focused menu. While that limits their food selection, we appreciate their unique concept.
Despite only serving grilled food, they still cater to various types of events such as cocktail parties, weddings, and corporate events. For us, a BBQ event can become a memorable topic for weeks!
Their menu looks tasty, too! They serve melts-in-your-mouth back ribs, fire-roasted chicken breasts, and burgers!
Plus, they cook fresh french fries on-site to pair with their delicious meat. We also like that they serve onion rings and the famous Canadian poutine!
What stands out the most is they provide vegetarian options despite only serving meat! However, it does not apply to all of their menu selection.
Their bar stations deserve special mention, though. It’s because they provide Smart Serve bartenders who have undergone the training program approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
In addition to all of those, we like that they have event planning services for a stress-free day. That includes tents, party rentals, bartenders, and catering staff.
Unfortunately, Smokin Bones BBQ Catering requires a minimum required amount per menu selection. For small groups, they suggest the delivery option.

Founded by Chef Roshan Wanasingha and Mauricio Pozos in 2016, Ma-Ro Catering serves many types of events, from weddings to bar/bat mitzvahs, to corporate events.
Moreover, a quality we admire is that they go beyond local cuisine and embrace global flavours by incorporating imported products. It allows them to provide any type of food menu!
They also offer event planning and will take care of the staff, suppliers, floral arrangements, rental equipment, and furniture. No more headaches for clients!
Notably, they are the preferred caterers of various hotels, organizations, and companies. This includes Homewood Suites, Springhill Suites, The Advocates’ Society, and CIEvents’ Flight Centre Space—quite impressive!
There’s no shock there since the clients we surveyed praised their exceptional service and food quality. Those are two important things!
We also like that you only need at least 48 hours to place an order before the event. It’s a short amount of time and ideal for hosting quick small parties.
Additionally, they are flexible with the venues. In case there is no kitchen on-site, they offer to deliver the food or bring their equipment for an additional fee.
Food-wise, they offer a wide selection! They have their signature Caesar salad, cheese platters, and charcuterie. Yummy!
While we would appreciate a seasonal menu for convenience, they make up for it by tailoring their offerings to cater to various dietary preferences. They could add in in the future, though!
The downside is Ma-Ro Catering’s office is closed on weekends. That means clients who prefer to pick up their food need to do so on weekdays.
