Another thing that instilled our confidence in this company is that they’re one of the few fully insured foundation repair providers in the country!

As for the downsides, two things come to mind. Firstly, we, along with some selected responders, felt that their services are priced a bit too high compared to other competitors in the market that offer virtually the same thing.

Secondly, they’re only open on weekdays. This can easily rub off the wrong way for other clients, considering that other companies in the market are open every day.

We think they kind of make up for this operating hours aspect though, as they promise to respond within 24 hours when they’re operational.

Overall, Mr. Foundation is a proven and tested foundation repair service provider that has multiple accreditations under its belt. If you can look past its slightly above-average prices and its somewhat limited services, we think they’re a solid option!

We think that having this kind of range makes them a great one-stop shop for house repairs, in general, not just for foundations.

We do want to touch upon their foundation services though, as they’re worth highlighting. For starters, we noted that they go beyond simple crack repairs by offering full-blown restorations, as they believe that foundations should last decades.

One of our gripes with this company, though, is that they don’t offer free quotations, or at least there’s no mention of it on their website. In today’s day and age, we feel like this kind of service should be available.

Moreover, we would’ve loved it if they offered their world-class services 24/7 since it’s not rare to bump into foundation issues in Ottawa.

Renco Home Improvement is another BBB-accredited company that caught our attention because of their multiple decades in the field.

They offer the most complete set of services on this list thanks to it being a full-blown home improvement provider rather than a foundation repair company. 

This being said, we still think that foundation crack repairs are their specialty. This is because they provide various solutions and methods like crack injections, waterproofing, concrete pouring and more.

They also cater to different kinds of foundation damages such as slab cracks, structural cracks, vertical cracks, etc., making them sort of a jack of all trades—luckily, not a master of none.

But what we think made their crack repair service more convincing is the fact that they offer a transferable warranty. This kind of warranty led us to conclude that they believe that their repair can last longer than the current homeowner’s time inside the house.

Meanwhile, one red flag that stood out to us during our surveys was that they have had a minor case when they backed out from a schedule that’s already been confirmed.

We can see this being a frustrating experience, especially for those who have freed up their schedules for that specific day—should it happen again.

Aside from this mishap, however, we think that Renco Home Improvements is one of the most complete home improvement providers in Ottawa.
