Pros

  • Expertise in women’s reproductive health
  • Diverse treatment portfolio
  • Commitment to education

Cons

  • Busy during peak days due to popularity

We recently sought the services of Evodia Health Centre to support our fertility journey, and it has been an exceptional experience. Madison, the acupuncturist, brings over 7 years of expertise in fertility acupuncture, and her knowledge and compassion have made all the difference.

Evodia Health Centre offers a holistic approach, especially for those facing challenges like PCOS, endometriosis, or unexplained infertility. Madison’s specialized acupuncture treatments focus on increasing blood flow to the ovaries, regulating hormones, and reducing the effects of stress—all essential for enhancing fertility naturally. From the first session, I felt a sense of calm and balance, with each treatment tailored to my specific needs.

Madison’s expertise extends to addressing issues such as luteal phase defect, secondary infertility, and recurrent pregnancy loss. Her approach is patient-focused, making every appointment comfortable and reassuring. She not only promotes fertility through acupuncture but also helps optimize the uterine lining, which is crucial for implantation.

For anyone in Calgary seeking natural, supportive fertility care, I highly recommend Evodia Health Centre. Whether you’re dealing with irregular cycles, hormone imbalances, or simply looking to enhance your fertility naturally, Madison’s practice is truly a game-changer.

Pros

  • Uses non-invasive and non-artificial technology
  • Provides fertility health e-books for download.
  • Personalised service
  • Virtual consultations worldwide

Cons

  • e more expensive than others
  • Consultation is 15 minutes only

The first clinic on our list is FertilityCare Calgary, which has been in operation for 11 years and is comprised of seven FertilityCare practitioners.

We learned that their clinic utilises non-invasive and non-artificial technology. They do not provide artificial reproductive services like IVF or IUI.

Aside from that, they also provide their patients with e-books about reproductive health that can be downloaded on their website. This we think is really helpful for patients’ guidance.

We personally appreciate that they provide personalised service for their patients. This means that they deploy a patient-care approach in which they personally ask their patients for their input in developing individualised treatment plans.

We appreciate that their consultations are not limited to Canadian citizens only, but they also extend their online consultations worldwide, so people from other countries can have consultations with them.

Though they provide a free appointment for their service, it will only last for about 15 minutes, which is a bit too fast for a consultation. You’ll need to make sure you mention all your concerns as there is a timer and the call will disconnect after the said time.

We also learned that they provide a fee-for-service basis in their clinic, which means that you’ll pay for each separate service performed on you.

Because they don’t bundle their services, the total cost may end up higher than the usual. However, what this means is that you are likely to get extra-dedicated physicians who will make sure that you’re able to make the most out of the service you’re paying for.

Pros

  • Inclusive and comprehensive Canadian surrogacy consultancy
  • Offers facilities throughout Canada
  • Pricing is a little lower than average

Cons

  • Only offers consultation for gestational surrogacy, not traditional surrogacy
  • Doesn’t provide a payment installment plan

An inclusive and comprehensive Canadian surrogacy consultancy, ProudFertility is committed to assisting individuals in starting families using egg donation and surrogacy.

We learned that they provide their staff with in-depth sensitivity training regarding issues including LGBTQIA+,disabilities, mental health, HIV/AIDS, and cross-cultural communication.

What we like about Proud Fertility is that their team assists their patients at every stage of their personal surrogacy and egg donation journey.

In their fertility clinic, they provide third-party reproduction, which includes gestational surrogacy, egg donation, sperm donation, and embryo adoption or donation.

While their mission is noble, they unfortunately don’t take in traditional surrogacy requests, where the mother is both the egg donor and the biological parent.

In terms of pricing, they normally advise intended parents to budget $60,000-$80,000 if donor eggs are not required. The fees for intended parents who require donor eggs often range between $70,000 and $100,000.

Additionally, the range of fees is a little lower than the average of Canada’s surrogacy services, which ranges from $85,000 to $150,000.

However, they don’t provide a payment method plan, which is quite expensive because you cannot pay in installments.

Pros

  • Large team of health professionals
  • Team concentrates on common reproductive issues

Cons

  • Only 1 available practitioner for traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture
  • Only provides a 15-minute complimentary visit

With a good number health professionals ready to assist, Vive Health Integrated Group is committed to improving couples’ chances of starting a family.

What we like about them is that they first check for common reproductive issues such as recurrent miscarriages, PCOS, fibroids, blocked tubes, and hormone imbalances.

The process is quite comprehensive as they go through all the steps in identifying the underlying cause of reproduction disorders such as infertility and hormonal imbalance.

We think that this is something couples will appreciate, as many of them have probably already exhausted their options and need someone else who will do the digging for them.

We also like that they provide ideal dietary suggestions for women that we think can really help with their digestive and menstrual cycles.

It’s good to note that they also espouse natural methods such as acupuncture, which may be a preference of couples who want to conceive with minimal medical intervention. They also do meditation, which will work well in tandem with acupunture.

However, there is only 1 available practitioner for traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture, so be sure that you book an appointment as early as possible.

Also, they only provide a 15-minute complementary visit, which we think is too short for consultation.

Pros

  • Patient-centred treatment
  • Areas of specialisation include fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum acupuncture
  • Formulas are founded on ancient Chinese medical teachings

Cons

  • Has only one doctor
  • Services are limited to women only
  • By-appointment only

TerraSana Clinic to their practice is all about patient-centred treatment, as they educate and empower every patient to pursue optimal health in all aspects.

Their areas of specialisation include fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum acupuncture.

We like that all of their ideas or formulas are based on ancient Chinese medical teachings, but with a twist—they blend them with their own unique insights to create customised sessions for their patients.

With this, they’re better able to understand your needs and devise treatment strategies that will work best for you based on what’s happening with you and your body.

We like that they examine both the physical and mental health of their patients to help them decide on the best treatment, acknowledging that they go hand in hand.

Now, while they provide great service, note that Dr. Abbs is focused on female patients. If both parties need to be checked out, we would suggest checking out any of the other entries on this list.

Also, we learned that there is only one doctor that looks after every patient. This is probably why this clinic is by-appointment only.

To ensure that you are seen and serviced, we would suggest booking their 15-minute phone consultation initially.

Pros

  • Personalised and precise fertility treatment plans
  • Clinic is inclusive to LGBTQIA+ members
  • Provides a full-price list for all treatments

Cons

  • Only 1 doctor in the clinic
  • Reports on subpar clinic service

Oasis Fertility creates personalised and precise fertility treatment plans for each patient. The clinic is led by medical director Dr. Imran Pirwany, who has over twenty years of expertise in reproductive medicine, focusing on fertility management.

We like that they consider their patients’ financial situation and have a flexible treatment payment plan, which we think is very considerate.

It’s worth noting that they are very inclusive as they provide treatment and services for LGBTQIA+ couples.

What we appreciate about this clinic is that they provide a full price list for all treatments on their website, so patients can get an idea of how much it will cost before they begin treatment.

We also like that their InVitro Fertilization is a little cheaper than the Calgary average, with a price rate of $8,900. The average rate of IVF in Calgary ranges from $10,000 to $15,000.

A little bit of caution, though: we’ve heard reports of inconsistency in their service, from the constantly-tardy doctor to uncoordinated clinic staff. But the good thing is that they apologised for these issues and are working to improve their protocols.

Finally, we are concerned with the fact that there is only one doctor in this clinic. This may mean accommodating less patients on a daily basis.

To secure your slot, we would strongly advise filling out the appointment request form, which can be found on their website.
