When we visited their showroom, we were impressed with the superb selection. There’s a wide range of styles of PVC vinyl, aluminum, wooden, steel, and fibreglass windows and doors, and these are customizable based on your needs.

It’s just a bummer they’re closed on weekends. But their selection is worth leaving work early!

Cost-wise, we love how reasonable they are! Plus, you can apply for a financing option, which has flexible options for all kinds of budgets.

And since these guys also offer installation, they’re a solid choice for your home improvement projects!

When it comes to energy efficiency, we love Ecoline Windows and Doors in Ottawa. Their services are all about energy saving, which is cost-effective in the long run.

Basically, their showroom is filled with various styles of windows and doors, from basic shapes to custom ones. We also like the availability of different features for decoration and safety, like privacy glass.

However, their showroom is by appointment only. It was also disappointing to hear several complaints regarding customer service, particularly with installation problems.

On a positive note, we like their solid 25-year warranty on product and labour, including a direct warranty from the manufacturer. We think this is actually a long warranty compared to competitors.

We also appreciate their good financing solutions, including a personalized consultation so you’ll find what works best for you. You can also choose a deferred payment plan if you need more time to save up, which is an awesome option for tight budgets.

Buildmart Windows & Doors has 16 years of experience in the industry. Over the years, they’ve gained a loyal clientele, which speaks about their reputation in the community.

As for their products, we like that they offer energy-efficient and high-quality windows (that are all Energy Star-certified!) and doors. They have privacy glass windows, as well as wooden to steel doors.

Plus, we were happy to see plenty of customization options available to suit your needs and budget. Their clients even praised them for knocking it out of the park when it comes to measurements!

During our surveys, there were a few reports of misunderstandings regarding the installation and the cost. But we commend the team for rectifying any miscommunication and making sure the clients were happy.

Another thing we like is the lifetime warranty for labour and 25 years for defects or cracks.

Despite being closed on weekends, they’re still pretty solid since clients have praised their reasonable prices.

Here’s the thing about Verdun Windows and Doors: they’ve been around for over 40 years, offering products made in Ottawa! If that’s not enough expertise, we don’t know what is!

They specialize in modern designs but still offer customizable windows and doors. We want to highlight that during our showroom visit, we learned that they will engineer the most durable and advanced products to ensure they will last in Ottawa weather.

Additionally, their doors are all made-to-order, which means you get the exact fit. While that’s incredible, it’s just a bummer for clients who need standard sizes since they have to wait for it to be made.

Another problem with only made-to-order is the measurements aren’t quite right all the time. Due to this, some clients had problems with incorrect installations.

On the bright side, their windows were rated Energy Star Most Efficient in 2024, which is evidence of their energy-efficient products. The flexible financing options are a bonus!
