Pros
- Largest naturopathic clinic in Manitoba
- Has a large team
- Various alternative medicine available
Cons
- No weekend naturopathy appointments
- More expensive rates
One of our favourite things about Nature Doctors is their large team and their wide array of services. It makes them accessible since different types of individuals can ask for their assistance.
Although, we need to slash off some points or accessibility since they aren’t open on weekends. Not by a lot, though, because of their long operating hours on some days.
We were thrilled to discover the variety of alternative medicine they offer. Aside from naturopathic medicine, they have acupuncture, homeopathy, and massage therapy.
Additionally, we really like their large team size—they are the largest naturopathic clinic in Manitoba! They have ten naturopathic doctors on board, allowing them to accept multiple clients simultaneously!
Another favourite aspect of ours is their practice of functional medicine. It’s an approach that focuses on treating the underlying cause of illness by providing a customized health treatment plan.
Moreover, they offer various testing and treatment services, such as nutrition therapy, medical cannabis, environmental testing, and heavy metal testing. It amazes us how many services you can get from Nature Doctors!
However, they do charge more expensive rates than other naturopathic clinics in Winnipeg. On the bright side, their service quality has been impeccable, from consultation to treatment!

Pros
- Has a cozy and welcoming clinic
- Accepts clients under 13 years old
- Accepts Saturday appointments for naturopathy
Cons
- Limited availability of selected doctors
- Other services closed for weekend bookings
Via Natural Medicine was founded in 2016 by Dr. Heather Cardona. What we find admirable is she established the clinic to provide a place where her whole team is passionate about healing processes.
She and her team combine science and natural healing methods to ensure long-lasting results. We commend them for focusing on physical well-being but also on mental, physiological, emotional, and social health.
We also like that they have four naturopathic doctors available, which means they can accept more clients than other clinics in the area! It also allows for more open bookings since some of their doctors usually have limited availability.
A common compliment we heard from our client surveys is the compassionate approach of the doctors. They were very attentive and made sure to understand the root cause of the problem.
We think it also helps that their office is very cozy—it’s inviting and homey! For us, the clinic’s atmosphere helps patients when dealing with treatments, especially if they’re nervous.
Another aspect we like? Their services include homeopathy, osteopathy, acupuncture, massage therapy, and hypnotherapy. Due to the variety, they can cater to many patients needing different types of treatments.
Additionally, we appreciate that Via Natural Medicine accepts patients under the age of 13 for naturopathic medicine. They have doctors with experience dealing with kids, an impressive factor!
While we appreciate their Saturday appointments for naturopathic medicine services, a minor downside is that they are closed on weekends for their other services. That was a bummer!

Pros
- Specializes in fertility issues
- Encourages collaborative care
- In-depth knowledge of traditional fertility treatments
Cons
- Limited availability per week
- Initial consultation is only 15 minutes
Dr. Annie Coughlin, ND is an expert in the field of fertility, one of the many reasons we think she’s one of the best naturopathic doctors in Winnipeg! We admire her for providing a safe place for families trying to conceive.
We appreciate that she offers many services despite being the only naturopathic doctor at her clinic. She offers lab testing, botanical medicine, acupuncture, and nutritional counselling.
Additionally, she offers a mix of natural and science-based treatments for PCOS, male fertility issues, endometriosis, egg and sperm health and other hormone-related problems. See? She does offer a tonne!
One admirable aspect of her approach is that she encourages patients to pursue collaborative care by going to other fertility clinics. In our opinion, it shows her utmost care and concern for her patients by not discouraging second opinions.
Moreover, her extensive understanding of traditional fertility treatments enables her to offer suggestions for her naturopathic treatment plans. It shows her expertise, eh?
Plus, we really like her calm demeanour, which we find helpful for patients who are going through fertility issues. Her past and current patients have complimented her authenticity, too.
However, Dr. Coughlin’s availability is pretty limited since her office is only open three days a week—she has Saturday bookings, though! Her initial consultation, which is only 15 minutes, is shorter than other naturopathic clinics in Winnipeg.

Pros
- Specializes in alternative cancer treatments
- Provides treatments for many types of conditions
- Accepts patients from outside of Winnipeg
Cons
- No appointments on weekends
- Some miscommunication issues
Dr. Sean Ceaser, ND has a naturopathic clinic that focuses on alternative cancer treatments. What’s convenient is he’s not the only naturopathic doctor at the clinic—he works alongside Dr. Joel Guillemin, ND, allowing them to cater to more patients.
In fact, they accept patients travelling from outside of Winnipeg. Some clients have even travelled from the United States! Impressive!
Their extensive knowledge, training, and expertise are some of their most impressive factors. For us, their years of experience are invaluable when patients need to trust someone with their treatments.
Notably, their naturopathic therapies can complement conventional cancer treatments. We also like that they concentrate on providing customized treatment plans for each patient.
Also, we greatly appreciate their many offerings. They don’t stick to cancer treatments only; they also treat the common cold, fertility issues, sports injuries, food sensitivities, neurological conditions, and Lyme disease.
Additionally, their treatment includes bee venom therapy to alleviate pain, mistletoe therapy for various medical conditions, and ozone therapy for immune system activation or other specific health issues. That’s a lot, huh?
However, it’s important to note that weekend appointments are unavailable with them, as their clinic remains closed on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Another drawback involves communication problems, with some patients raising concerns about excessive charges despite their short clinic visits. The good thing is the staff adjusted the pricing once the issue was raised.

Pros
- Clinic is a fragrance-free zone
- Available on Saturdays by appointment
- Has access to labs outside of Manitoba
- Treats numerous conditions
Cons
- Some complaints about customer service
- Supplements have high prices
An impressive factor about the Centre for Natural Medicine is their team’s expertise. They have 50 years of combined experience in the field of naturopathy!
We don’t want to forget that they have six naturopathic doctors and all are accepting new patients! It makes them highly accessible, huh?
Plus, their clinic—a fragrance-free zone—is available six days a week! They’re even open on Saturdays on an appointment basis.
They treat patients of all ages—they have pediatric services. Not all naturopathic doctors have experience dealing with kids, so we highly appreciate this!
Additionally, we really like their numerous services. They treat many conditions, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), addictions, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, chronic fatigue, cancer, female disorders, infertility, and more!
Plus, they offer numerous testing services due to their access to multiple testing facilities located in Manitoba. Not only that, they utilize labs in other provinces if the technology is not yet available in Manitoba.
According to our surveys, their naturopathic doctors have consistently delivered excellent service, which is why many patients continue to seek their care. However, we heard a few complaints about poor customer service at the front desk.
Another drawback is the high prices of their supplements and natural medicine. If you can find legitimate ones elsewhere, we suggest looking into it.
