City Sports + Physio Clinic has over 40 years of experience in Vancouver, specializing in sports injury management. They’ve recently added massage therapy, kinesiology, and Pilates, making them a great option for anyone dealing with sports injuries.
We’re really impressed with how spacious the clinic is—it’s got over 5,000 square feet, with private rooms and curtained areas for treatments. There’s also an open gym with rehab gear like spin bikes, treadmills, and Pilates equipment, which is perfect if your recovery involves exercise-based rehab.
It’s a bit of a bummer that the clinic is closed on Sundays, which might be tough for people with busy weekdays. Plus, their rates are on the higher side—initial assessments start around $190, which is pricier than other spots in Vancouver.
But if budget isn’t a dealbreaker and you want a spacious clinic with tons of experience, City Sports + Physio is a strong contender.

What we like most about The Physio Shop is their unique bike fitting service. If you’re a cyclist dealing with discomfort or looking to improve your performance, their personalized fittings can help with injury recovery and ride efficiency. It’s not something you see often in physiotherapy clinics, making it a big win for biking enthusiasts.
Another aspect that caught our attention is their open-concept clinic, which creates a collaborative vibe. Multiple therapists often team up on your treatment plan, so you’re surrounded by a group working together on your recovery.
Conveniently, their online booking system is easy to use—just a few clicks and you’re all set. They also handle direct billing with major insurance companies, so if you have extended health benefits, paying is a lot simpler.

Vancouver Physiotherapy offers a wide range of specialties. Whether you’re dealing with spinal rehab, women’s health issues, or work-related injuries, they’ve got an expert for just about every need.
We love that they offer a 60-minute supervised exercise program for just $93—it’s a real steal compared to other clinics. If you want longer, more detailed sessions without spending a ton, this is a great option.
From what we’ve seen, their focus on personalized care, especially for athletes, is a real strength. They tailor each treatment plan to fit the patient’s specific needs, whether it’s for a groin pull, ankle sprain, or more complex injuries.
The drawbacks are their limited hours—they’re closed on Sundays—and sometimes they might be a bit slow to respond. A few clients have said their inquiries felt rushed or not fully answered, which can be frustrating if you’re looking for detailed info.
Nonetheless, Vancouver Physiotherapy offers affordable care with a dependable focus on personalization and specialized treatments.

Her insight is a gift
“My mother, who is 89, had an appointment with Dr Jamie Ward today and her assessment of my mother’s physical issues was impressively pointed and insightful (I thought). Remarkably so. I made the appointment after hearing a rave review at a dinner party, where another woman said that the benefits she’d experienced from one visit with Dr Ward were greater than all her other ‘doctor experiences’ put together. This other woman’s back issues were resolved and I’m not sure my mother, given her age and the length of time she’s struggled with her leg and hip pain, can be helped as significantly but I feel hope due to Jamie’s belief that she can and will improve. Dr Ward, without being asked, recognized that my mother needed an approach that would allow her to be more passive than might be expected of other clients and I’m grateful for that. Dr Ward seems very young (but so does everyone these days) but I’ll affirm what I heard at the dinner party: her insight is a gift.”

Knowledgeable and thorough massage therapist
“Feleen Gunster was fabulous! She focused right on my trouble areas and left me feeling completely relaxed. As someone who works out a lot, I really appreciated how she was able to suggest a few tweaks to my regular lifts to help reduce tightness and improve mobility. She also gave me great advice for post-massage care and tips to avoid pain in my problem areas. Highly recommend her for anyone needing a knowledgeable and thorough massage therapist!”

Talented practitioners and good people
I’ve been going to Cadence for a couple of years now for various issues related to sports and fitness. They are excellent — talented practitioners and good people. I’ve been to a number of physiotherapy clinics over the years, but I’d never before experienced the attention to detail, level of care, nor the know-how that I have with the folks at Cadence. They’ve not only corrected most of my recurring issues, they communicate at my level of understanding to ensure I am fully informed of what the problem is and how to work through it. Top-notch place.

I can’t recommend Cadence Physiotherapy enough! I’ve been dealing with chronic wrist pain for years, and after trying many different treatments, I finally found real relief here. Alan Chan was thorough in understanding my condition and tailored a treatment plan that targeted the root of the issue. The exercises and techniques they recommended have made a noticeable difference in my mobility and pain levels, something I hadn’t achieved with previous treatments. Their expertise, combined with their compassionate and supportive approach, made each session not only effective but enjoyable. If you’re dealing with chronic pain and need a professional who truly listens and delivers results, Cadence is the place to go!
