Canadian Centre for Addictions is one of our trusted drug rehab centres in Toronto because of their high-quality service. Their 94.9% success rate speaks volumes about the effectiveness of their programs.
Service-wise, they have it all, offering inpatient and outpatient rehab, individual and group counselling, and lifetime aftercare. They also help individuals with various types of drug addictions, like prescription drugs, opioids, and crystal meth.
It’s worth noting they have a relapse prevention program aimed at identifying situations that make recovering addicts vulnerable.
Plus, we like their lifetime aftercare, offering individualized strategies throughout North America (available in-person and teleconferencing).
As a luxury rehab centre, they offer the best comforts in life. We love the peaceful space and spa-like amenities we saw (they have a sauna, pool, and steam bath!), which provide a cozy setting.
Sure, the price may not be the cheapest, but they have financing options. And the high level of care we’ve seen makes it worth every dollar.
Pros
- High success rate
- Inpatient and outpatient programs
- Various services available
- Spa-like amenities
- Lifetime aftercare available in North America
- Financing options available
Cons

Incredible partner in recovery
“CCFA has been an amazing partner in my recovery. Qualified staff were super friendly and approachable. I especially appreciated the fact that I had medical and psychotherapy access throughout my stay. I must also compliment the Chefs for ensuring I began enjoying meals again!”

Top-notch service from the staff
“We were working to get a very important friend some badly needed help. Seth and Justin worked with us. Both were great at what they were doing. Seth came and conducted an intervention with us, and was perfect for the implementation. He is intelligent and kind. He is able to communicate in a manner that helps the patient understand the process and make it as comfortable as possible. Justin was also very helpful in explaining and implementing the admissions process. It was very comforting on our end to be treated with respect and compassion, and what I believe is true caring.”

One of our picks for drug rehab is EHN Bellwood Toronto because they’re the largest network of publicly funded and private treatment services, making them very accessible to many needing help. Plus, they’ve been around for over four decades.
They also stick to evidence-based treatment programs because these have established effectiveness based on studies. And these are only done by their addiction specialists, which we appreciate.
During our inquiry, we learned they offer inpatient, virtual, and hybrid treatment programs. What’s good about these options is the patient can work with a flexible schedule without compromising the treatment plan.
The aftercare program is solid too, including weekly group therapy sessions and access to drug monitoring. However, it was a bummer to hear that some patients were discharged immediately by the staff.
When we visited, the drug rehab centre was complete with basic facilities and peaceful spaces. But we still felt it needed some upgrades and maintenance to keep the place spotless.
Pros
- Largest network of publicly funded and private treatment
- Evidence-based programs
- Offers hybrid treatment plans
- Solid aftercare program
Cons
- Reports of patients discharged immediately
- Can add more upgrades to the place
Incredible support from the staff
“Things have been better than ever. I am working my program every day and my family is back in my life. I’ve never been so grateful for all that Bellwood has done. The facilitators are amazing and don’t get enough credit for the jobs that they do. I felt so supported by the staff on my recovery and can only say good things about my experience. It has changed my life.”

No judgement and very welcoming
“Bellwood left an impression on me that i will take with me for the rest of my life. The staff are warm and welcoming, emotionally in touch with clients needs and never once did i feel like i was being judged. Additionally, the culture of the community here is warm and welcoming, if there are any peer concerns staff address the issue accordingly. I look forward to returning as an alumni volunteer.”

Addiction Rehab Toronto provides a diverse range of treatment options, one of the reasons we like them. They provide one-on-one and group counselling, as well as family counselling, which we appreciate because addiction also affects families.
There are a lot of therapy methods available, such as music, art, and meditation. We actually like all the options because they can find the best strategy to help people in recovery.
During our visit, we learned that they also help various individuals, which makes them accessible in Toronto. They help treat various addictions, like cocaine and party drugs.
Additionally, we like that this drug rehab was newly renovated, which means upgraded facilities. We like the modern spaces and five-star amenities, such as a basketball court, fitness studios, and a movie theatre.
It was unfortunate to hear reports about inexperienced staff during our surveys. Nonetheless, we appreciate that they’ve made a massive improvement since then, from treatment to aftercare.
Pros
- Provides family counselling
- Offers a tonne of therapy methods
- Newly renovated rehab centre
- Modern space and 5-star amenities
Cons
- Reports of inexperienced staff
Very professional and compassionate
“Addiction Rehab Toronto provided excellent care and support for our family member.
The staff, including Allen were professional, compassionate, and dedicated throughout the process. The facility ensured our family member was medically supervised and well-supported during their stay.
Our family was supported as well knowing our loved one is in good caring hands during their recovery process .
I Highly recommend ART for anyone seeking help with addiction.”

Top-notch care from the staff
“Terrific experience! This was the third time (and hopefully last) time I have been to treatment. ART blew the other experiences out of the water. Amazing staff all around. The councillors, the nursing staff, to the chefs and maintenance crew. Everyone was top notch at what they do. I was sad to leave but the program had me prepared for the next step. I can’t say enough good things about this place!”

Renascent is all about helping individuals with addiction and their loved ones. The treatment programs are not only focused on the addict but also on how it affects the people that surround them.
Having been around for over 50 years, we’re confident they understand addiction as a whole. They’ve helped over 50,000 individuals, something worth noting.
We like their range of services, offering inpatient, outpatient, and virtual treatment programs. This includes a virtual intensive treatment, where the individual can get help from anywhere in the country.
Worth highlighting are the additional programs, including family care and continuing care (basically an aftercare program). The children’s program is a unique service that helps kids 7 to 13 understand and break the cycle of addiction.
They have three drug rehabs in Toronto with decent facilities, but clients have mentioned that the service quality from the staff was not consistent. On the bright side, we like the affordable pricing and the fee-for-service for inpatient programs.
Pros
- Over 50 years in the business
- Diverse treatment programs
- Assists kids to understand addiction
- Helps individuals with addiction and their families
- Affordable pricing
Cons
- Service quality depends on location
Incredible treatment programs
“I came here lost and confused, with one hope in mind. I wanted to find guidance to stop using substances. I was very hesitant at first but with the help the counselors I came out of my shell. I have been sober for almost 3 years now. I truly appreciate everything Renascent had done for me. The tools I learned here about relapse prevention and triggers have helped immensely. They showed me how I could be a part of a community and it is within this community, that I have found myself. The counselors were always available for one-on-ones. Also the continued care program and follow-up guidance has been extremely helpful. Being able to return and share my journey with other clients at alumni meetings has helped me stay connected to this community. Renascent has an inclusive atmosphere and always made me feel a part of. I will end with this, the food was terrific. Every chef brings their A game for every meal. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.”

Top-notch compassion and care
“I came to Renascent in January of 2021. I was emotionally broken. The Care and compassion showed to me by the staff was second to none. Abshir and John have continued to go above and beyond since i graduated the program. I will forever be grateful for everything Renascent has given me in my life. Highly Recommend”

We like how the Centers for Health and Healing do their focused-based rehab treatments. Instead of the 12-step method, they provide a personalized recovery plan based on needs and goals.
We also appreciate the various services they offer, such as inpatient and outpatient treatment, medical detox, and group therapy. The flexibility they offer is very helpful for individuals who have responsibilities at home.
Plus, they offer various types of therapies. One of them is the sublocade program, a medication-assisted addiction treatment that can combat dependence on opioids.
As for the facilities, we were in awe when we saw the Georgian-style house surrounded by nature. But we’d still like to see upgrades since some clients have complained about incomplete amenities, as well as inexperienced staff.
Even though you don’t get the full value of your money with the facilities, we appreciate that the homey interior and the outdoor spaces allow you to be one with nature.
Pros
- Focused-based rehab centre
- Flexible treatment programs
- Offers sublocade treatment program
- Plenty of outdoor space
Cons
- Reports of incomplete amenities
- Some complaints about inexperienced staff
Made clients feel comfortable
“Centres for Health and Healing was nothing but professional when dealing with them. This process was something my family didn’t think we’d ever have to go through but they made it easy and made us feel very comfortable. As mental health and addiction continues to grow the need for a rehabs like CFHH become so important. My cousins been sober for a year now, thanks CFHH!!”

Very patient and understanding
“If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My common-law partner recently attended treatment here. He refused everything counselling sessions, gym, complained about the food wanting Kobe and Wagu beef. He was being ridiculous. The staff here were patient and understanding. He wasted half the time resisting. He is home now and he is a totally different person. He is grateful for the opportunity and grateful that the staff never gave up on him. These are true professionals who care and want to help. They gave me my person back.”
