Pros

  • Offers various orthodontic treatments
  • Highly accommodating and informative
  • Excellent personalized treatment plans
  • Has many successful cases

Cons

  • Closed on Fridays to Sundays

A standout about City Orthodontics is how they can provide personalized treatment plans for each patient from day one until they’re brace-free.

From our surveys, patients raved about their top-notch tech and attentive care. Furthermore, we’re glad to note that many were happy with their visits.

Another neat thing is that they’ve got many options like Invisalign, metal braces, porcelain braces, and even treatments and surgery. We like this aspect because patients can pick what works best for them – whether it’s based on their lifestyle, preferences, or dental needs.

For instance, we learned that while traditional metal braces are a popular choice at City Orthodontics, clear braces stand out as a compelling alternative. These braces use a similar mechanism but with transparent ceramic brackets, making them less visible and a worry-free option for photographs.

Many patients have also shared that the dentists and staff are total pros when it comes to calming nerves, keeping them informed and comfortable in every step. In our books, their approach is perfect for those who feel uneasy about sitting on that chair and get a little nervous about pain.

But just a heads up, City Orthodontics takes a breather from Fridays to Sundays. So, patients juggling work might need to shuffle plans a bit.

Overall, we believe City Orthodontics is a solid pick for people particular about braces. Most especially, they have a stellar track record, acing everything from traditional braces to Invisalign and other dental solutions!

Pros

  • Offers payment plans
  • Provides emergency services
  • Has self-ligating braces

Cons

  • May experience challenges with scheduling appointments
  • Closed on weekends

Forest Hill Orthodontics has been around for over 60 years, making them a trusted choice for Torontonians!

We like that they’re conveniently located in midtown Toronto, and they cater to both kids and adults, offering Invisalign and a range of braces to suit your lifestyle.

For example, they have self-ligating braces that are cleaner than the traditional ones with elastics, making it easier to keep the oral game strong. Plus, this option is more efficient, meaning fewer adjustments and fewer trips to the office during the course of the treatment.

It’s also a plus in our books that they’re open to accommodating emergency requests. Based on our research, patients who need help ASAP can usually sort things out over the phone and get squeezed in an emergency appointment.

On the flip side, we think it’s a bit of a bummer trying to book an appointment with them because they’re usually booked solid. Those interested will want to plan and snag a spot at least two weeks in advance – definitely, no walk-ins!

Finally, when it comes to the money side of things, we like that they’re flexible with payment plans – no interest, and tailor a plan to fit a particular budget. And from what we’ve heard, lots of parents find these plans incredibly helpful in covering their kids’ braces.

Pros

  • Thorough and doesn’t cut corners
  • Offers payment options
  • Provides different types of braces

Cons

  • Closed four days a week

What we like most about Innovative Orthodontics is their variety of braces options, like metal, ceramic, clear, ceramic, and self-ligating braces. It means they can tailor the treatment to fit the patient’s specific needs, from major adjustments to minor tweaks, all for that perfect smile and improved oral health.

On top of this, we love that they have multiple payment options – no initial payment is needed, and monthly installments are available. We also heard that they’re helpful in dealing with insurance, and many patients we surveyed appreciated how the staff helped them through the process.

We also appreciate the hospitality and outstanding bedside manner of Dr. Voudouris and the staff. From our surveys, their overall ambiance and experience for most patients were pleasant, even if they were a bit anxious at first.

Patients have also mentioned that Dr. Voudouris takes the time to answer questions thoroughly and never rushes through procedures. We also heard that even during follow-up appointments over a couple of years, patients consistently received top-notch service, showing the clinic’s dedication to quality care.

However, we think it’s quite a shame that they’re closed four days a week. Interested clients will probably have to call them in advance and plan your visit about 1 to 2 weeks ahead.

Still, we believe Innovative Orthodontics is a reliable choice, especially for those in need of certain types of braces.

Pros

  • Fast and efficient
  • Utilizes 3D scanners
  • Offers next generation braces

Cons

  • Some reports of long wait times
  • Can be difficult to book

Next on our list is Orthodontics on Queen. It’s right in the heart of The Beach, Toronto, right on Queen Street East—fittingly named, eh? And from what we’ve gathered, their clinic is not just well-lit and clean – they’re also known for top-notch style!

Here’s the cool part we found – they’ve got these next-gen braces that are all about comfort. What we love about this particular type is they use low-profile, rounded braces and gentle forces, so the cheeks, tongue, and teeth feel way more at ease.

Another aspect that caught our eye is their cutting-edge technology which is seriously impressive. To give you an idea, their orthodontist harnesses Silicon Valley engineering, 3D printing, and even NASA-derived materials to get top-notch results in record time.

And when it comes to efficiency, their procedures and appointments seem to zip by pretty smoothly, according to their patients. In addition, they manage to keep things quick and efficient without skimping on quality or time for questions.

On the downside, we must mention that we came across a few reports about longer wait times. We also noted some issues with patients who struggled with booking their preferred slots, which caused some inconvenience for them.

With this, we recommend booking early with Orthodontics on Queen to dodge any delays, especially during peak hours.

All-in-all, though, we believe Orthodontics on Queen hits the mark with its top-notch facilities, cutting-edge technology, and excellent staff who are all about giving patients a comfortable experience.

Pros

  • Provides flexible treatment plans
  • Offers payment plans
  • Skilled with more complex cases

Cons

  • Consultations can feel rushed
  • Closed on weekends

What impressed us most about OrthoSmiles is they’ve been around since 1978—they’re one of the oldest dental clinics in Toronto! And though they’re quite “aged,” we’re glad to see that they keep up with the times!

From what we’ve seen, OrthoSmiles specialize in a wide range of orthodontic treatments. From braces like lingual, self-ligating, and even 3D printed braces to Invisalign, early orthodontics, surgical options, and more—great for those with specific cases.

And based on our surveys, their orthodontists are seriously experienced and skilled. Many patients we spoke with mentioned that they’re total pros – tackling even the trickiest cases, like major over or underbites.

For instance, patients have seen their teeth realigned and adjusted in just two years. Furthermore, we were pleasantly surprised to hear that one patient who hasn’t had his teeth looked at in over 35 years was very pleased with his treatment.

Another plus in our books is how OrthoSmiles is great at accommodating different schedules and offering flexible treatment plans. We even found one instance where the clinic adjusted their treatment plan while the patient was travelling long-term and dealing with other dental work simultaneously.

However, we felt a bit iffy after hearing some reports about consultations feeling a bit rushed. It seems like patients might not get enough time to ask questions during their first meeting with the dentist. .
