Pros
- Has many branches in Canada
- Has minimal downtime
- Offers financing options
- Gives realistic expectations
Cons
- Expensive rates
- Service depends on location
The advantage of Removery is its accessibility due to its many locations in Canada: Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. We think it’s a plus that it even has branches in the US and Australia!
Removery has highly trained laser technicians, ensuring only experts will work on the tattoo removal treatment. For us, this is an important aspect because it means they have vast industry knowledge.
The technicians use PicoWay laser technology, allowing minimal downtime for each session, which is something we really like! It’s also good for those who want to fade their tattoos for cover ups.
Although, for us, one of the unique aspects of this service is the financing option. Not many tattoo removal services in Edmonton offer this, so we were pretty surprised!
Moreover, it’s a good option because they have expensive rates. Let’s say there are eight sessions, so those prices will rack up quickly!
On the positive side, past clients complimented the staff and laser technicians in the Edmonton branch. We appreciate the honesty because apart from being knowledgeable, they gave realistic expectations with the removal time.
But considering it has many branches, the quality of service depends on the location. So, that’s something to think about.
Although they’re closed on Mondays, they are open on Saturdays. In our books, this kind of operating hours is good news for people who work on weekdays.
Lastly, Removery offers the removal of permanent makeup. We think this service is worth considering for those unhappy with their eyebrow tattoos.

Pros
- Open daily
- Specializes in laser treatments
- Offers a wide array of services
- Provides free consultations
- Good communicators
Cons
- No price list available
- Long recovery time
New Skin Laser Studio specializes in laser treatments, which our team really liked. It also does various procedures for the skin, providing an array of services for all clients.
Can we say first that we loved their clinic? We felt like we were on a spaceship when we first stepped in. It’s unique and definitely memorable!
Now, regarding the process, it starts with a free consultation in person or virtually. We like that their clinic is open daily until 9:00 pm, allowing busy clients to get an appointment after work.
Notably, New Skin Laser Studio has certified medical laser technicians, ensuring they have the background and knowledge in laser technology.
They also use q-switch laser technology on tattoos and even cosmetic ones! But note that the drawback we found regarding this is a long recovery time that will take 8 to 12 weeks.
We think this is bad news for people with big tattoos, since it will take more than a year.
On the other hand, our team was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. One of the things that stood out from our survey was the communication skills of the laser technicians – friendly and responsive.
A minor drawback is the lack of a price list. We hope they can add that in the future to give people an idea of how much money they need to save.

Pros
- Specializes in laser tattoo removal
- Provides free consultations
- Has affordable flat rates
- Removes all colours of ink
- Has minimal recovery time
Cons
- Only open four days a week
- Limited skin treatments available
Our team decided to include Reversal Laser Studio on our list because of its responsiveness. In fact, their clients got their appointments right away, perfect for those needing to start the removal process immediately.
We like that it only has certified laser technicians. It ensures that only professionals will work on removing the tattoo.
They even offer free consultations so clients can save money. Also, they offer free patch tests to ensure the client won’t get affected negatively by the laser technology.
One of our favourite aspects is the flat rate fee. It’s affordable, which allows people with limited budgets to get the service.
Moreover, their rate for tattoos less than 1 x 1 inch is only $100. It’s cheap, especially compared to other tattoo removal services in Edmonton.
Did you know they offer only $100 for tattoo artists and permanent makeup (PMU) artists who want to remove their tattoos? For us, this speaks about their commitment to the community because of the support they show.
Regarding the treatment, it’s impressive that they use modern technology. They use the Candela PicoWay laser technology, which typically has low downtime and minimal recovery time.
Furthermore, it removes coloured ink (all colours, by the way!). Plus, you can expect fading during the first month. That’s quick!
Aside from those aspects, the laser technicians at Reversal Laser Studio were incredible at making clients feel comfortable and safe. It’s scary getting a tattoo removal, so we highly appreciate their approach.
Unfortunately, we found that they’re open only four days a week. This is pretty disappointing since their schedule limits their availability, especially during busy months.
And although they offer laser skin treatments, we think it’s quite limited compared to other services in Edmonton. So, that’s something to consider if you’re going in for skin treatments.

Pros
- Has two locations in Edmonton
- Has minimal recovery time
- Requires fewer treatments
- Affordable rates for tattoo removal
- Has financing options
Cons
- Doesn’t specialize in tattoo removal
- Expensive skin treatments
- Some complaints about customer service
Lucere Dermatology & Laser Clinic has two locations in Edmonton, which our team was happy about! It has one on the south side and another in the downtown area.
The clinic uses Picosure laser technology, which is important to note because it’s an advanced laser treatment for the skin. Not surprising, really, because it specializes in dermatology.
But, for us, there’s a drawback to that. It doesn’t specialize in laser tattoo removal, which may deter some clients.
However, as a dermatology clinic, Lucere has a team of specialists that can work on laser tattoo removal. Also, they use laser technology in many skin treatments, giving them the proper knowledge in the industry–a plus for us!
Going back to laser technology, it’s effective for removing black and coloured tattoos. We like this since those with multicoloured tattoos can go to Lucere for removal.
Plus, we like that their tech works on all skin colours. But the best part for us is that it has minimal recovery time and usually requires fewer treatments than other laser technologies.
As for the rates, we were happy they’re affordable! A tattoo sized 2 x 2 inches or less only costs $135 to $149. But other skin treatments have more expensive rates, sadly.
Oh, there are packages available for those who need more treatments. On top of that, they offer financing plans for flexible payments, which is pretty neat!
Although, we found it quite disappointing to hear about customer complaints. Some clients experienced cancelled appointments, long wait times, and some consultations finished too quickly.

Pros
- Has a team with medical background
- Offers free consultations
- Can remove all ink colours
- Team has a personable approach
Cons
- No price list available
- No branch in Edmonton
Urban Lasers & Aesthetics specializes in non-invasive laser procedures, including tattoo removal in Sherwood Park and the Edmonton areas. In fact, we found that it’s quite known in the area for laser tattoo removal.
One of the things we like is the team’s background in the medical field. For us, this is beneficial because of the vast knowledge when doing non-invasive procedures.
Moreover, they’re welcoming and informative. Clients we talked with appreciated the personable approach, which made them feel at ease despite their nervousness.
We highly appreciate the free consultations. Sometimes, tattoo removal can be daunting, so it’s good that clients will get an idea first about the process before committing.
The clinic uses Picosure laser technology, which is one of the most advanced today. It can also remove tattoos in fewer treatments than other technology – that’s good news!
In addition, it’s a good option for fading tattoos because it can remove small portions of the tattoo for cover ups. We appreciate that it can also remove all ink colours, even the difficult blue and green!
Another positive thing we like is that in just a couple of treatments, the client can see fading or lightening of the skin. People with small and old tattoos can possibly have fewer treatments.
We just hope they can include a price list to guide people who are considering their clinic. Even though clients liked their reasonable rates, we feel it can be useful.
It’s also worth mentioning that Urban Lasers & Aesthetics is located in Sherwood Park, which may prevent some from going there. But the clinic is only about 20 minutes away from Downtown Edmonton, so it just needs a bit of drive.
