Pros
- Has a wide sunroom selection
- Provides many services
- Assists in permit application process
- Has great attention to detail
Cons
- Unavailable on weekends
- Lack of financing options
The main aspect that we found impressive about Natural Light Edmonton is the beautifully-designed selection of sunrooms. We were pretty glad about the various designs, from simple to luxurious!
In addition to that, they have a team that can custom-make any type of sunroom that will suit the client’s lifestyle. We found this helpful because they can make the outdoor space fit the home’s exterior to increase its value.
As an Edmonton-based sunroom company, they have personally experienced the city’s ever-changing weather. For us, this speaks about their knowledge and skills when designing outdoor spaces.
In fact, they have a wall frame system that can keep the winter chills out. If you’ve experienced Edmonton winter, this is definitely a plus!
Other than that, they also provide retractable screens to provide safety while the client enjoys the outdoor area. We found this convenient for bug protection as well.
Upon checking their past projects, our team was impressed with the work quality. We found the attention to detail superior, even the parts that aren’t normally noticeable.
It’s no secret that taking care of permits can be daunting, which is why we appreciate that the team will assist their clients regarding the permit application process.
Although everything sounds great, we were saddened to hear they’re unavailable on weekends. Busy clients will need to take some time off for the initial planning stages.
We also hope they can include financing options in the future for clients who want big outdoor spaces. It can be expensive, and flexible payments can help.

Pros
- Services clients in Canada and the US
- Has reasonable rates
- Offers DIY project materials
Cons
- Come issues about inconsistent scheduling
- Instances of late replies about poor installation
LGM Patio Covers & Sunrooms supplies sunrooms and patio covers across Canada and the US. Its vast clientele is an aspect we liked because many Canadians can reach their services.
Apart from that, they also sell various materials for the outdoor area. This includes rails, posts, and hangers.
We were quite glad to find out that they also do the installation besides supplying materials. Due to this, their clients won’t have to worry about who will install their sunrooms.
Additionally, they also sell the complete materials for those who prefer to do the installation themselves. We were happy about this because it’s helpful for those with limited budgets.
It was a bit concerning when we discovered that their head office is in Washington, USA. At first, we were worried about the turnaround time for clients in Edmonton.
But we found out they now have an office in Edmonton, which our team thought was convenient.
As for the prices, we found them reasonable. Many clients we talked with liked the value for money as well.
Unfortunately, we heard some issues regarding client service. One of the concerns we heard was the broken promises about turnaround time and installation schedules.
We also found instances of late replies when their clients complained about leaking due to poor installation. Nonetheless, we’ve seen a significant improvement since then.
Currently, they’ve been consistent with the turnaround time. We just hope they can continue with it because they have a small team in Edmonton.

Pros
- Services Canada and the US
- Has many dealers in North America
- Uses high-quality materials
- Provides sunroom customization
- Some retractable screens are smartphone compatible
Cons
- Limited areas for permit assistance
- Lack of phone call response during busy seasons
What we liked about Suncoast Enclosures is its specialization on outdoor living spaces. Its designs and selection focus on comfort and protection, two important components our team looked for.
It caters to a wide audience in North America. We were surprised by the number of dealers it has across Canada and the US.
One of its products is the Three Season Sunroom. In our opinion, one of its best aspects is its versatility.
Furthermore, it allows homeowners to use the sunroom regardless of the time of the year. Upon checking it, our team felt it looked like an additional room in the house instead of an extension.
Frankly, the sunroom boasted a luxurious feel because of the beautiful design. In addition to that, it felt comfortable inside because of the high-quality materials.
Other than that, they customize each enclosure depending on the client’s lifestyle and home design. This is possibly why their projects looked like they were originally part of the house.
And did we mention some of their screen covers are smartphone compatible? That’s convenient if you ask us!
Our team was pretty happy about the work quality, too. The sunroom installers were detail-oriented regardless of the project’s size.
On top of that, they were accurate with the estimates and turnaround time. Some even mentioned the installers finished on the exact date they promised.
On the downside, they only offer permit assistance in limited service areas. Some places have tricky permit application processes, unfortunately.
Lastly, our team suggests contacting them via email. During busy seasons, it can be difficult to get a hold of their team through phone calls.

Pros
Cons
Since 1979, Ideal Sundecks has been making outdoor enclosures suitable for Edmonton residents and the local weather. For us, the decades in the industry speak about the trust it has earned in the community.
Other than that, we believe the team has earned the proper skills and knowledge to install sunrooms correctly.
We were quite glad that the team specializes in sunroom installation. They even offer three and four-season sunrooms, which are versatile for the city’s weather.
Additionally, they offer free estimates and design proposals! Compared to other sunroom installers in Edmonton, this was remarkable.
If the client decides to work with them, the team can start on a customized design. Our team found this impressive because we liked their style and functional designs.
Upon checking their past works, we liked how compatible the sunrooms looked next to the house. They looked as if they were originally part of the house plans!
Our team was also impressed with the attention to detail. The sunrooms were painted and installed correctly, showing the team’s expertise.
Our team would like to suggest checking their website and social media pages for promotions. They sometimes offer up to $1,500 off for sunrooms!
Plus, the Ideal Sundecks showroom is open six days a week. The team is also available after hours and on Sundays by appointment, which not many sunroom installers do in Edmonton.
Some minor drawbacks are the lack of a portfolio for commercial clients and no available flexible payment plans. We hope they can add this in the future for convenience.

Pros
- Over 3 decades of experience
- Products are Canadian-made
- Sunrooms were specifically made for Albertan weather
- Offers DIY sunroom kits
Cons
- By appointment only
- No fixed operating hours
For over three decades, Sunspace By Relaxed Living has served the Edmonton area with various outdoor enclosures. For us, the years in the industry show the company’s work ethic and quality.
In fact, all products are 100% Canadian-made. Our team was stoked when we found out because we can support local communities.
Apart from that, their products are specifically made to withstand the Albertan weather. It’s no secret that Alberta goes through some harsh climates, so this is useful for keeping the cold winds out of the house.
Additionally, there are various sunroom options for every home. We see this as highly beneficial because it caters to households with different budgets.
Moreover, there are DIY sunroom kits for handy people who want to save some money. Our team also liked the screen sunrooms, which we found simple but functional at keeping bugs out of the indoor area.
Another factor we liked is the thermal sunrooms. When we checked it out, we noticed that it was comfortable inside, despite being cold outside.
Furthermore, the customized roof projection provided the sunroom to handle snow loads in the winter. Aside from convenience, this is safe for those harsh Albertan winters.
On the downside, they’re strictly by appointment only. This applies when visiting their showroom, too.
And because of that, they don’t have fixed operating hours. Our team was slightly confused because we weren’t sure when it was alright to call them.
