Address: 13682 Heart Lake Rd, Caledon
Contact details: (905) 838-2990
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Every year, Downey’s Farm Market rolls out its iconic Pumpkinfest, transforming its peaceful countryside setting into a full-scale fall wonderland. They usually have over 35 activities like hayrides, a giant corn maze, farm animals, slides and climbing structures for kids.
You’ll get a great opportunity to snap Instagram-worthy shots at their pumpkin patch. And don’t worry, one pumpkin is included in your ticket, so you won’t go home empty-handed.
On top of that, there are still more things to do, like their petting zoo, pedal cart track, jumping pillows, and slides made out of farm equipment. When the weekend comes, they even have live shows, duck races, and puppet performances, giving off that classic fairground energy.
Pro tip:
The farm is stroller- and kid-friendly, but bring boots if it’s rained recently, since it can get muddy. Also, weekends get wild—parking lots will be busy and there’ll be long lines, so it’s best to skip the chaos by going on weekdays.
Knox Pumpkin Farm (Hampton, ON)

Address: 6325 Enfield Rd, Hampton
Contact details: (905) 263-2930
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM (Open season: Sep 27 to Oct 31)
When we look at Knox Pumpkin Farm, it sort of feels like stepping into a storybook, especially with its rich history that dates back to 1832. To give you an idea, as you enter, you’ll be riding a wagon to the pumpkin patch, where you can wander until you find your perfect pumpkin.
It’s also lovely how family-friendly the farm lineup is, such as a petting barn, mini corn maze, straw jump, forest trails, pony rides, and even a chance to see those goats jump around. The grounds are also dotted with seasonal decor and art installations perfect for autumn snapshots.
Not to mention, inside the grounds, you’ll find a snack shack offering standout treats like pumpkin curry, kettle corn, candy apples, and cider or hot apple cider. You can easily settle down and enjoy your food since there are picnic tables and washrooms around.
Pro tip:
Consider booking your wagon and pumpkin ticket online before 10 AM on a weekend. That way, you secure the combo timing (it sells out fast), get front-row to the first wagon run, and avoid the afternoon rush of families.
Richmond Country Farms – The Pumpkin Patch (Richmond, BC)
Media from richcountryfarms
Address: 13000 Steveston Hwy, Richmond
Contact details: +1 604-274-0522
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 8 PM (Pumpkin Patch Season TBA)
Richmond Country Farms gives off that classic autumn vibe. As you wait at the entrance, a tractor-drawn hay wagon (complete with live music from The Country Pumpkins band and costumed entertainers) takes you past duck ponds, waterfalls, and even Transylvania-style farm buildings.
Once you arrive at the patch, you’re free to choose your pumpkin, which is included in your ticket—just one, though, and extras go for around $6 each. Aside from this, you can enjoy roaming through two corn mazes, exploring flower displays, and taking photos around the farm.
Kids will also love the miniature train rides, and animal viewing with animals like goats, ducks, chickens, and llamas, but you can’t touch or pet them. For the adults, there’s the onsite Country Vines Winery for a nice wine tasting.
Pro tip:
Try to bring a lightweight foldable crate or reusable tote with handles to help you carry and organize things like pumpkins, apples, snacks, and souvenirs better. And try to avoid visiting on a weekend if you want a more peaceful and less crowded time.
Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch (Surrey, BC)

Address: 18507 20th Ave. S. Surrey
Contact details: 604-542-1205
Operating hours: Opening Weekend: Sept. 20/21 – Oct 31
- Monday to Friday: 2 PM – 5 PM
- Saturday to Sunday: 10 AM – 5 PM
Set across roughly 12 acres, Hazelmere Pumpkin Patch is sort of like a no-fuss farm adventure, lighter than commercial patches but still packed with charm. You’ll hop on a wagon ride that carries families over to the expansive 2-acre pumpkin field, and get access to a mini corn maze.
As you wander around, you can also stumble upon play areas with things like Tonka truck setups, a fire truck slide, boats to climb on, and picnic tables nearby. And if your kiddos are getting bored, there are petting zones where they can gently approach goats, rabbits, and chickens.
It’s also worth noting that they have plenty of free parking along the perimeter and near the entrance. And we like that they maintain clean washrooms and hand sinks onsite, especially if you’re visiting the petting zone.
Pro tip:
You can check out their website to book tickets as early as possible to make your visit seamless. It’s also smart to bring small bills with you since smaller stands may be cash-only, or you might experience long wait times for card machines to go through.
Maan Farms Market and Estate Winery (Abbotsford, BC)

Address: 790 McKenzie Rd, Abbotsford
Contact details: +1 604-864-5723
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 6 PM
Maan Farms Market & Estate Winery is quite the standout. It features a 10-acre forest pumpkin patch with a walk-through experience with spooky decor such as upright coffins, skeleton figures, swings, and photo backdrops like pumpkin houses and moon cutouts.
One of the things we like the most is their Barnyard Adventureland, which is packed with attractions, including zip lines, climbing walls, giant games, and slides. You get to pet animals, too—think goats, alpacas, chickens, and bunnies.
And if you’re up for the challenge, they have an enchanted corn maze over four acres with winding trails and seasonal flair. But don’t worry, it’s not overly scary—it’s more of a fun experience where you get lost with friends or family.
Pro tip:
If you’re interested, download the Maan Farms app or check their social feed before going. You’ll get notified about flash deals on VIP or Treat Passes, updated dog-friendly “Dog Days,” or reduced wait times for main attractions.
Laity Pumpkin Patch – South (Maple Ridge, BC)

Address: 12725 Laity St, Maple Ridge
Contact details: +1 604-380-1615
Operating hours: 2025 Fall Season TBA
Between the two Laity Pumpkin Patch locations, the south is more ideal for slightly older kids and families who want more than just picking pumpkins. The farm spans around 20 acres and includes an enchanted glow-in-the-dark garden, aisles of pumpkins, and a 2-acre corn maze.
We also love how it transforms into a Western Pumpkin Town, with structures like a working General Store, Saloon, Schoolhouse, and Sheriff’s Office—all constructed entirely of pumpkins. And look out for the pirate-style pumpkin cannon that hurls real pumpkins every hour.
You’ll also get to go on their tractor rides, obstacle course games, connect-4 and ping-pong trick shot setups, and even a bird aviary full of peacocks and pheasants. There are also other animals like goats, bunnies, and cats.
Pro tip:
Try to time your visit around the hourly pumpkin cannon blast, but avoid that exact moment. That said, visit on a weekday afternoon if you can swing it since crowds are lighter, lines move quicker, and the parking lot is way less chaotic.
Murphy’s Farm Market & Bakery (Alliston, ON)

Address: 5141 County Rd 10, Alliston
Contact details: +1 705-435-2141
Operating hours:

Murphy’s Farm Market & Bakery is a fifth-generation working farm turned local destination, celebrated for its scratch bakery, fresh products, and relaxed fall festivities. You can get fresh pumpkin muffins, pies, breads, seasonal treats, and dairy fresh goodies.
During their Fall Fest, you can wander the pumpkin patch at your own pace and watch a pumpkin cannon show that takes place twice on weekends. Their farm yard and play area also features highland cows, obstacle courses, bounce pillows, playhouses, tire tracks, and a sandbox for your kiddos.
It’s also nice that the crowds are generally moderate, even on weekends, and we noticed that most groups enjoy 20-30 minute visits rather than full-day immersions. Also, the farm has family washrooms, shaded seating spots, stroller- and wheelchair accessible walkways, and parking.
Pro tip:
Grab a map early and plan your route, then head to the bakery before exploring. Their maple-fresh muffins and pies are one of the crowd favourites, so it’s best to buy some early on.
Springridge Farm (Milton, ON)
Media from springridgefarm
Address: 7256 Bell School Line, Milton
Contact details: +1 905-878-4908
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Springridge Farm blends a picture-perfect barn market and bakery with a Fun Farmyard loaded with kid-friendly attractions. And many parts of their farm make stunning backdrops for photos that look like a Fall postcard.
You can expect to see and have fun with attractions like goat mountains, sandboxes, tube slides, pedal tractors, a spider web climber, a singing chicken show, and their iconic “Singing Tractor.”
We also love their Escarpment Lookout, offering a city view, and you might even spot the CN Tower on a clear day.
Pro tip:
Don’t miss out on their 19th-century barn market stocked with fresh products, gourmet baked goods, jams, and preserves. The Front Porch Servery also offers sandwiches, soups, and cold apple cider.
Saunders Farm (Ottawa, ON)
Media from saundersfarmfun
Address: 7893 Bleeks Rd, Ottawa
Contact details: +1 613-838-5440
Operating hours: Wednesday to Sunday: 10 AM – 4 PM
What we love most about Saunders Farm is that their Pumpkin Fest is more than just patch picking; it’s a full-blown autumn play zone on a 100-acre farm. So, expect hayrides through pumpkin fields, and even world-class hedge mazes (the largest in North America).
You can also go for the ziplines, giant jumping pillows, forest play structures, puppet shows, and BBQ-style snacks and cider. They even host live stage shows and carnival-inspired games like pumpkin skee-ball.
And while PumpkinFest is family-friendly, Frightfest events (after dusk) are intense and best suited for older teens or adults.
Pro tip:
Note that the farm has a mix of gravel paths and grassy fields, so it’s best to skip the stroller since it’ll probably do more harm than good.
Applebarn Pumpkin Farm – Taves Farms (Abbotsford, BC)
Media from tavesfarms
Address: 333 Gladwin Rd, Abbotsford
Contact details: +1 604-853-3108
Operating hours: Pumpkin season starts in September
Just off Highway 1, Applebarn Pumpkin Farm is tucked right into the Fraser Valley. It pretty much has something for everyone, such as a pumpkin patch, apple orchards, corn mazes, farm animals, jumping pillows, hayrides, and even pony rides.
They’ve also got stunning photo spots like the Magical Pumpkin Garden and their sunflower patch.
If you get hungry, the barn store sells kettle corn, hot apple cider, pumpkin cookies, fresh pies, jams, and more.
Pro tip:
Consider visiting late in the afternoon, around 3 to 4 PM, since there are usually fewer crowds, perfect lighting for photos, and the animals tend to be more active.
