Pros

  • Open daily
  • Has a wide range of services
  • Services many commercial and industrial sectors
  • Has reasonable rates
  • Caters to clients outside Edmonton

Cons

  • No residential services
  • No pricing estimates available

One of the main things we appreciate about Alberta Liquid Waste Hauling is its availability. It’s open 365 days a year, which is great for Edmontonians who work on weekdays!

Not only that, but it also provides waste-hauling services in Alberta. We like how accessible the company is because of its wide client reach!

It’s also its high level of experience we like, since Alberta Liquid Waste Hauling has been around for over 25 years! Plus, it has a fully trained team for proper waste hauling.

Another important aspect is the company’s professional affiliations and certifications to ensure it follows the city’s protocols. It’s COR-certified and a ComplyWorks member.

We also appreciate that Alberta Liquid Waste Hauling has a wide array of services. It also removes hazardous waste from many sectors, such as construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and mining.

Didn’t we tell you it’s accessible? Well, except for residential clients, unfortunately.

Alberta Liquid Waste Hauling focuses on commercial and industrial sectors, so it doesn’t cater to residential properties. That’s a slight limitation, sadly.

Another service we like that not all of Edmonton’s hazardous waste removal companies offer is sump cleaning. It’s still considered a hazard because of all the contaminated water, sludge, and debris!

Moreover, the team offers their services at reasonable rates. We were pretty happy about that because of the amount of money you could save.

But it would still benefit their clients to include pricing estimates. For us, it can help with transparency.

Pros

  • Available on weekends
  • Has a punctual and responsive team
  • Has reasonable rates
  • Specializes in biohazardous waste removal

Cons

  • No pricing estimates
  • Has limited services

Junk Kings has only been around for five years, and despite that, it has earned many loyal clients in the Greater Edmonton Area. Many clients have continued to support the business because of its punctual team.

One of the things we like is that Junk Kings focuses on biohazardous waste removal. This is a difficult subject to talk about, which is why we find it commendable that the disposal team can do it professionally.

Why is it difficult to discuss? Well, because the team removes blood and bodily fluids, which can happen due to unexpected and unfortunate cases.

Don’t try cleaning these by yourself because it’s dangerous! Biohazardous waste includes feces, urine, and mice droppings!

Junk Kings also has Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) coverage, so you can have peace of mind while the team is working on your property. Aside from that, they are fully licensed to operate.

One of the aspects we like is you can hire them for small jobs. The place doesn’t have to be on a big property; you can even hire them when you find all the food in your fridge has spoiled.

We also found that the team is highly responsive, resulting in easy and quick bookings. They’re even available on weekends, which makes them accessible.

On a negative note, Junk Kings has limited services. Aside from biohazardous waste removal, they only have junk removal.

We would also like to see pricing estimates, just to give clients an idea. But the good thing is that Junk Kings offers competitive rates!

Pros

  • Provides reasonable rates
  • Open everyday
  • Works on small and large projects
  • Provides consistent turnaround time

Cons

  • No price guide available
  • Can get busy due to many clients

What impressed us about JK Environmental Services is its expertise. Its team has been fully trained to handle small and large jobs, which definitely adds to their reliability.

To ease your mind, its employees have WCB coverage, and the hazardous waste company has several professional affiliations. We know these things are highly important because it shows that they comply with the legalities of the industry.

Another aspect we like is the complete equipment. These are necessary for effective service, especially when working with hazardous substances.

We also find it commendable that the JK Environmental Services team ensures that you and your family are safe while they’re working on your property. That’s pretty neat, considering they work on various dangerous substances.

Moreover, we like that they are equipped to handle and dispose of toxic metals, construction waste, lightbulbs, asbestos, and other hazardous substances.

It’s also commendable that its team is also highly professional. We were glad to hear that many clients complimented them for their consistent turnaround time!

Additionally, it’s a plus in our books that JK Environmental Services is easy to reach because it’s open everyday! Now, you don’t have to take some time off from work if you need to dispose of hazardous waste on your property.

We also want to note that they have competitive rates. Some clients even mentioned that JK Environmental Services gave them one of the lowest quotes compared to other hazardous waste disposal services in Edmonton.

However, there are no available pricing estimates which can help clients on a tight budget. If you want to hire them, contact them ahead of time because they get many clients to get an immediate appointment.

Pros

  • Services Canada and the US
  • Has a wide range of services
  • Services healthcare and pharmaceutical clients
  • Provides a thorough service

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • No pricing estimates available
  • No residential hazardous waste removal

GFL Environmental has a wide reach of clients because it serves Edmonton and many areas in North America. It’s quite impressive, in our opinion.

It’s a company specializing in solid waste, liquid waste, and soil remediation. We were impressed with the various services it offers.

Another impressive aspect is how equipped the team is to handle any project regardless of the area in Canada. It’s due to its many locations, earning them bonus points for availability.

However, GFL Environmental is unavailable on weekends. That was quite shocking since it has a big team and can reach many areas.

Going back to its services, we think it’s convenient that the team caters to residential, commercial, and industrial properties. However, we were disappointed that it doesn’t dispose of hazardous waste from residential areas.

Moreover, it only has hazardous waste disposal services for commercial clients. That was a bummer!

On the bright side, GFL Environmental also disposes of hazardous waste from healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. That was rare because not many waste removal services in Edmonton cater to healthcare companies.

Further, we like the complete equipment and thorough service. It even has a mobile laboratory for hazardous chemical cleaning!

But we would like to see a price guide, especially since GFL Environmental promises cost-effective solutions. It’s a big company, and we think adding some estimates would be helpful.

Pros

  • Focuses on sustainable waste management solutions
  • Offers a wide range of services
  • Has well-maintained equipment
  • Has three branches
  • Open daily

Cons

  • Slurry facility is only in East Edmonton
  • Lack of pricing estimates

One Environmental is an accessible hazardous waste disposal solution in Edmonton because it has two branches. It has one on the west and the east side.

The main aspect that impressed us is it provides sustainable solutions for waste management. That’s pretty unique, right?

How does One Environmental do it, exactly? It has a state-of-the-art facility that reduces the environmental risk of hazardous waste removal and disposal.

Additionally, all the wastewater is correctly processed and recycled in a way that reduces the risk to the environment. Knowing that hazardous waste is bad for the Earth, we appreciate One Environmental’s steps to provide eco-friendly solutions.

The company is also equipped to handle regulated and non-regulated hazardous waste properly. That shouldn’t be shocking, really, because they have complete equipment and a wide range of services!

Speaking of equipment, One Environmental has big well-maintained trucks, so they can do big projects. It’s also helpful because they can transport large materials and solutions to their facilities (one’s in Calgary, too!).

Frankly, we think it’s commendable that this company is strict with its safety protocols. It’s an important factor for us to make sure that hazardous waste disposal companies are compliant to regulations!

A minor downside is they don’t have pricing estimates. For us, it’s useful because it adds transparency.

Also, their slurry collection facility is only in East Edmonton. That’s a drawback for those in Calgary and in West Edmonton because of a possibly slower transportation time.

On the bright side, One Environmental is open daily. Lastly, we think it should also be noted that the team is very responsive and punctual.
