We want to note that we heard an instance of an inaccurate phone estimate, unfortunately. Even so, it was cheaper than others we inquired about.

It’s very convenient that they’re available 24/7 and offer same-day service. Plus, we were happy they haul away residential and commercial trash, from appliances to construction debris, making them very helpful to many Torontonians.

One of the reasons we chose Garbage Buddy is because of their convenient services. They offer one-time garbage pickup and subscription services if you prefer regular pick-ups.

We really like their subscription plans because they’ll pick up the garbage every two weeks. Commercial clients can opt for daily or weekly services, which is very handy for businesses.

These guys are also available any day of the week, which is ideal for one-time pickups. The best part? Same-day service is available in the GTA.

Price-wise, they’re very affordable. They start at $59.95 and if you fill up the whole truck, it’s only $749—no hidden charges here, guys!

They dispose of mattresses, sports equipment, old TVs, and construction debris. But even though they work on large stuff, they don’t do large dumpster pickups, unfortunately.

Doesn’t matter though, because we learned during our inquiry that they offer customized solutions to ensure your place won’t be a garbage dump!

1-800 RID-OF-IT impressed our team because of their capability to remove small and large-scale junk. They dispose of building materials, furniture, glass displays, sheds, tree stumps, and garbage from events!

We were surprised at how much garbage they removed from properties, and they even carpet removal. But what’s better is they recycle up to 60% of the stuff they take, which is a very sustainable thing to do.

These guys are available every day in the GTA. We love that they make the job easy for customers, as they’re available for same-day and curbside pickups (this one has a 10% discount!).

The thing is, not all experiences have been smooth sailing. During our surveys, we found out about instances when these guys didn’t show up for the pickup. 

The good news is they’re reasonably priced. They charge by volume per truckload, but their trucks are huge, so you can dispose of more garbage at a better value.

We also like that they’re available seven days a week, removing a wide range of garbage from your home. They accept mixed and solid waste, including renovation debris.

What makes them a one-stop shop is they offer bin rentals. Basically, they will deliver the bin and pick it up once you’re done putting all your garbage in—easy peasy!

It’s very handy if you have a tonne of waste. It’s just perfect for renovation projects, house clean-outs, and trash from businesses.

Plus, we like the flexible rates here. Their bin rental and junk removal services are actually available for flat rates or per ton if you have too much garbage.

It’s just a bummer that their bin rental flat rates are only available in the Mississauga and Peel regions.

Junk Is Gone first caught our attention through word of mouth. It does show how many clients they’ve impressed, so that’s a good thing!

But we chose them because they remove pretty much all kinds of garbage, which is handy if you’re renovating or doing a full house cleanup.

Plus, their wide range of services makes them a go-to for all your waste disposal needs. Besides hauling out garbage, they will also do cleanouts so you don’t even have to lift a finger.

It’s awesome they’re very responsive. Some clients we talked with said these guys came by the day after the booking confirmation—talk about fast service!

However, it was a letdown that they don’t offer same-day services. Still, our surveys showed their speedy track record has been consistent.

We like that they’re also an excellent choice, budget-wise. With all the upsides we discussed, they’re a good value for money, no?
