Pros
- Positive reinforcement
- Wide range of training specialties that cater to different dog levels
- Competitive rates
- Wide spacious training areas
- Seasoned dog trainers
Cons
- No make-up classes
- Strict refund and cancellation policies
Hyper Hounds Dog Training has an extensive range of courses that different dogs may need. So, if you are not sure what kind of training your dog needs, their catalog can be helpful in identifying what kind of classes can fit them.
From different kinds of obedience training (that vary from level to level) to agility skills and even scent detection, there are so many kinds of classes available for every kind of discipline and skill that you need your furry pal to learn.
If your dog has special behavioral concerns, such as aggression or high reactivity, it is important to have them assessed first to identify if they are suitable for joining group classes or if you should go for private sessions.
Their facilities are very spacious and suitable for different kinds of dog training classes. They have 5,400 sq feet of play space for agility classes and another 1,600-sq-ft room for obedience and other behavioral classes that seem comfortable enough for dogs to stay in.
They have 11 in-house dog trainers that have won different awards and titles in various dog competitions, most of whom have been in the profession for around two decades. They are highly recommended if you want your dogs to participate in skills and tricks competitions.
You’ll be sure to leave your pals in expert and caring hands during their scheduled training sessions. They do recommend that you or at least a member of your household join the classes as well so that you are aware of what your dog has learned and apply these so that they can practice consistently.
After all, training is all about practice, so you as an owner also need to be part of their progress.
However, you need to take note that you need to show up and come in on time for your scheduled sessions because they do not have make-up classes available, and they are non-refundable too.
In case you really need to miss one, your instructor will let you know what you missed so you can practice it with your dog at home.
We especially like their private lessons that allow your dog to be trained in a one-on-one session. But the price may differ widely and can even be more expensive given the special attention your pup will be getting.
The good thing is that you can bundle up these private lessons in a package of three and have other dog-owner friends join you so you can split the bill.
Overall, Hyper Hounds is a very good place to invest in if you want seasoned and award-winning trainers for your furbabies.

Specializing in training dogs on how to handle separation anxiety, they have been able to help hundreds of pets and their owners in building resiliency through proper professional training.
They’re spearheaded by Sharon Labossiere who has multiple dog training certifications and accreditations from institutions such as Professional Canine Behaviour Consultant, Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, and the International Association of Animal Behavior to name just a few.
Moreover, she continues to learn through Jean Donaldson’s Academy of Dog Trainers program even after more than 10 years of training dogs professionally. So, when it comes to qualifications, Sharon and her team really know their stuff when it comes to behavioral training.
Hanging With Hounds is highly recommended by a lot of veterinarians when it comes to dealing with animal behavior issues. This is why a lot of their clients are able to identify their pet’s symptoms as something that needs to be addressed by a behavioral trainer.
To avail of their services, you just need to schedule a free 30-minute discovery call wherein you can discuss your pet’s situation and how their programs can help you out.

Cons
- Pros
- Intensive training programs
- Fairly good rates
- Good discounts and packages for existing clients
- Has a cancer detection training program for dogs
- Cons
Clever Canines’ training foundation is the belief in understanding a dog’s innate abilities and behavior. Their training requires a good amount of involvement from pet owners by sharing the right knowledge on how to influence their dogs the right way.
Their training is unique in the sense that they go beyond just teaching tricks but also helping pets and pet owners understand each other.
Their classes are not limited to teaching dogs commands and skills; they are intensive with principles based on canine psychology and communication.
Their puppy training classes are especially recommended for pups 18 months and younger to establish skills and good behavior early on. Nevertheless, their jumpstart and core training programs are just as helpful.
Training your pal is never too late because they have tailored their programs according to a dog’s age and level.
If your household has more than just one furry pal at home, their training packages and discount offers are especially helpful. And honestly, their rates are quite affordable considering the number of hours included in the packages.
They have a good team of trainers and staff that underwent extensive training to give your dogs the utmost care needed in their facility.
The place itself is very neat and spacious, giving the dogs a good environment with fewer distractions. However, some classes tend to get too big, so this is something to consider if your dogs are highly reactive.
It would be best to discuss any behavioral issues your dogs may have beforehand so they can assess and advise what’s most suitable for them.
They also have other services that are very much beneficial for pet owners like their day school programs, which are exactly like a daycare but for dogs.
But beyond these, what’s most interesting about Clever Canines is how they can help train a dog to detect cancer. Together with Pure North S’Energy Foundation, they join scientists and clinicians in developing a canine cancer detection team.
This program however is not open to all dogs, but you can check out if yours is qualified on their website. If your dog has the right qualifications and established commands, then you may enroll them to join.
It’s a special way to be of help to others and something worthwhile if you’re seriously considering participating.
Because of the value for money and the valuable things your dog can learn from here, Clever Canines is one place worth considering for dog training.

Pros
- Positive reinforcement training methods
- Reasonable rates
- Also offers pet spa and grooming services
- Offers trick training ideal for dog shows and competitions
- Offers online training programs you can do at home
Cons
- Payment is required upon booking and are non-refundable
- No make-up classes
- Does not cater to dogs with serious aggression issues
Kayenna Training Academy is an all-in-one center that offers different services for your furry pal aside from just dog training. They have a dog spa for grooming and even dog clothing and apparel to treat and pamper your dogs.
Nevertheless, their specialty and strength remain to be their training programs that teach dogs obedience, agility, scent detection, and other skills that they need to become disciplined and well-rounded.
Among their training programs, we think their biggest strength lies in helping pets and their owner in building healthy relationships. This becomes their groundwork and foundation that makes teaching them obedience and skills easier.
Their methods are based on positive reinforcement and current scientific studies. This means that their training will never involve any kind of physical harm or any form of punishment.
Plus, it is good to know that their staff is well-experienced in handling different types of dog temperaments, whether one is shy or aggressive. However, their programs do not cater to severely aggressive dogs, but they may refer you to other private trainers in cases like this.
Their classes are filled with activities that are advised to be taken by a dog and its family together to ensure consistency at home. They would even encourage you to attend the classes even without your dog, in case they can’t come due to a bad tummy or aren’t physically well to attend.
Seriously consider doing so if this happens to your dog since they do not offer make-up classes and booked schedules are non-refundable.
Their rates are fairly competitive considering you can get as many as six lessons in each package. They do, however, also offer drop-in classes or private training if you cannot commit to a full training program.
Just take note that you are required to pay within 48 hours of booking so your slot will not be forfeited. Nevertheless, because of their reasonable rates, it’s something you can easily consider if you really intend to have your dog trained.
Their area is spacious and well-equipped, which is commendable, especially for agility and tricks training.
Interestingly, they also offer online classes with programs tailored to train your dog at home. Just don’t expect these classes to be as intensive as the ones done face to face.

- Thoughtful and compassionate training methods
- Ideal for training rescue dogs
- Competitive rates
Cons
- Make-up classes are not available
- Tuition fees are non-refundable
If your doggo seems to have serious behavioral issues like severe aggression or are extremely reactive, ImPAWSible Possible is the training center to run to.
Aside from the usual obedience classes, what sets them apart from other dog training centers is their ability to handle serious cases of dog aggression and anxiety. Their private sessions are customized for these difficult cases and may be pricey but definitely are worth investing in.
These programs are highly recommended most especially to rescue dogs who have encountered severe trauma, like abandonment or abuse.
Many pet owners who have availed themselves of these private sessions are very happy with how their dogs have improved and how this has really changed their lives as pet owners. They take time to understand your dog and consider applying different approaches until they find the best techniques that would work.
This kind of thoughtful and considerate training method is thanks to their expert behavior consultants. This team is headed by Cat Harbord, a behavioral specialist and an expert in research-based training who has multiple certifications and a diploma in Canine Behavior Sciences and Technology.
Their group classes come in a series of sessions that address different needs such as obedience, manners, and life skills. What is commendable here is that these group classes are limited to a maximum of six dogs only.
Reactive dog classes are even trimmed to a smaller number to make the environment less stressful for these extra sensitive friends.
Their rates are pretty much very competitive, though the private dog training rates can be quite expensive. That’s pretty much understandable because of the complexity of these cases.
If you have tried different classes before but still find your doggo struggling, ImPAWSible Possible may just live up to their name and make what seems to be impossible for your furry pal happen.

We like that he has taken various seminars, classes, and CEUs so that clients can be assured that all of his approaches are not only humane but also highly evidence-based techniques that cause dogs no harm whatsoever.
Furthermore, he also accommodates both private and group training sessions to better accommodate the needs and pace of the dog and make each training activity both interactive for the dog and its owner.
Note though that there aren’t training locations and studios readily available so clients may need to expect in-home or virtual training.
Nonetheless, with comprehensive inclusions with each package, an amicable dog trainer, and highly professional dog techniques, we highly recommend them to clients intending to train their dogs to be the best version of themselves.
