Pros
- Uses purified water for cleaning
- Award-winning company
- Competitive prices
- Uses biodegradable detergents
- Open on Saturdays
Cons
- No snow removal services
- No available packages
- No maintenance program
C-Thru-U is suitable for those who need house washing, aside from the standard window cleaning service, since they offer exterior property cleaning too.
We’re glad they are certified by the Certificate of Recognition (COR) and have liability insurance. Customers can feel at ease that they have met the standard safety and health protocols.
They won the 2022 Top Choice Award for Window Cleaning in Calgary, which proves their quality service. This recognition is notable because they won by receiving the most votes from satisfied customers.
A noteworthy aspect of their service is that they use purified water to clean windows. This type of water is ideal because it can leave a crystal clear finish instead of spots left by mineral particles from tap water.
For high areas and multiple floors, C-Thru-U uses extension poles instead of ladders for maximum efficiency and privacy. As for interior windows, they use shoe booties to protect your home from outside dirt.
We also like that they show concern for the environment by using biodegradable detergents, which doesn’t compromise their streak-free results.
Their detailed online booking form also adds plus points for convenience and efficiency in our books!
Aside from the positive aspects mentioned above, many customers we’ve talked to praised their competitive pricing and spotless work.
Hopefully, they can add pricing packages and maintenance programs in the future. For customers who need to save on costs, this can be a big help.

Men In Kilts might be what you’re looking for if you need a cleaning service with a good gimmick. They promise to show up in kilts with any service and any weather.
It started in 2022 in Vancouver when a local Scotsman named Nicholas Brand decided to use the visual of a man in a hand-sewn kilt for his company. Now, they have franchises across Canada.
We’re happy to let you know they’re insured–you will feel entirely at ease during the cleaning process. In fact, all their technicians are professionally trained, so rest assured they know what they’re doing.
Additionally, we like that they use purified water-fed equipment. We found this process ideal because it ensures no unsightly streaks when it dries.
Another impressive aspect is their Kilt Clean Guarantee. With this guarantee, you can contact their staff within 48 hours if you found their work unsatisfactory, and they will redo the job at no additional charge.
Furthermore, we’re glad they use environmentally safe products, which pose fewer health risks. If ever they need to use harsher chemicals, they will inform the homeowner first.
They also offer a maintenance program designed specifically for the customer’s needs. There are options for budget, schedule, and cleaning choices.
On the flip side, we did hear a few complaints about inaccurate prices. Some past customers have told us they were charged differently than the original quote.

Pros
- Cleans residential and commercial areas
- Reasonable prices
- Quick response
- Emergency service
Cons
- No maintenance program
- No readily available information on products they use
- Smaller team
Founded in 2003, Sparkle & Shine services commercial and residential areas in Calgary. It’s impressive to note that they clean more than 500 homes and offices yearly.
Customers will be happy to know they are fully insured and bonded. All their technicians are trained well to thoroughly clean all types of windows, screens, and windowsills for residential areas.
Additionally, they clean house facades and gutters and offer pressure washing and snow removal services. Notably, do monthly or emergency snow removal, which is convenient for customers.
Sparkle & Shine can also clean up to four stories high, including interior and exterior areas – perfect for commercial establishments.
Another thing that we like is their detailed online form that provides an accurate estimate. Also, it’s efficient that all the needed details are there, including information on their services and costs.
Additionally, we’re glad to hear praises for their emergency service. Past customers told us that they were responsive and provided quality service.
We also heard praises that they provided correct and competitive estimates. We think it’s good for customers to know they won’t be paying exorbitant fees.
The only downside is they don’t offer a maintenance program. We think offering this someday can be incredibly convenient for clients who want to hire their services continuously.

Pros
- Open on Saturdays
- Trained in rope access window cleaning
- Services high-rise buildings
- Offers emergency service
- Competitive prices
Cons
- No water-fed equipment
- No maintenance program
In 2008, Rudy Roberto started Invisible Windows by going door-to-door to businesses in Calgary, offering to clean their windows. We think it’s inspiring since they have now expanded by adding more employees and servicing surrounding areas.
What we like most is that they have business liability insurance to keep employees, customers, and properties safe. Also, they’re COR-certified by the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA).
In addition to that, their technicians know proper rope techniques to ensure safety. This is because they are trained through the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT).
The only disadvantage here is they only use the simple technique of a scrub brush with a cleaning solution and squeegee. We believe some customers might prefer newer technology, like the water-fed cleaning system.
We also think they can invest in newer screen cleaning equipment. Currently, they only use a wet brush and towel for screen windows.
On the other hand, we’re happy with their reasonable prices that start at $139 for twenty window panes. Since some companies charge $10 per pane, this cost will get pricier the more windows you get cleaned.
We also like that aside from competitive prices, they have convenient online payments via VISA, Mastercard, and PayPal. Furthermore, they also accept credit card payments by phone.
Notably, their technicians are well-trained in rope access window cleaning. It’s a simple technique, but it’s impressive they can still get the job done even in high-rise buildings.
Finally, we’re really impressed with their customer service. A lot of customers we talked to liked their reasonable prices, as well as their professional and friendly demeanour.
