Furthermore, they also do complete foundation replacements! That takes skills, which is impressive!

They also handle ICF (insulated concrete form) installation, a system that provides rigid thermal insulation forms. What’s good about it is the concrete will stay in place, resulting in high performance—it’s energy efficient too!

Can we just say how top-notch the workmanship is? Their clients praised the crew for their knowledge of the projects, big or small!

What disappointed us was their delayed responses regarding inquiries and estimate concerns. Also, we would also like to see an updated portfolio for clients to review.

However, the lifetime warranty only applies to waterproofing. The upside is it’s fully transferrable.

Another aspect we like is they will provide a personal project consultant. For us, it brings out a reliable perspective from an expert—and that’s a good thing, of course!

Moreover, their crew are all in-house professionals. We do appreciate that they don’t use sub-contractors, which can sometimes result in inconsistent work quality.

Past clients have even praised the crew for their efficient and effective service. They managed to finish within the set deadline without compromising workmanship.

What disappointed us was poor communication from our client surveys. There were some issues with late arrivals for estimates despite setting a schedule.

They specialize in concrete lifting and levelling, used in foundation repairs. However, they don’t offer other types of foundation repairs, which you need to consider if your problem requires a different method.

But they lift and level any concrete installation such as garages, basement floors, and driveways. These are ideal for uneven concrete, cracks, and separation.

What we like about this method is it’s an affordable option. It’s also a fast technique, sometimes done in less than a day and small jobs in just a few hours!

Furthermore, it’s not a disruptive method since there’s no need to damage the concrete. It keeps your garden safe, no?

In addition, they use a mix of crushed limestone and water that won’t damage the existing concrete. We like that once it’s dry, it’s compact and stronger than foam levelling.

Apart from homes, their clients include high-rise buildings, multi-family properties, industrial sites, strip malls, and airports. We found this an impressive list because they can work on big jobs!

As for their warranty, they offer three years along with a satisfaction guarantee. These will be included in the quotation outline, which we think shows transparency.

We just hope the MuddRuckers crew can respond quickly to inquiries and estimate requests because it’s a common complaint we received from our client surveys.

A 100% Canadian-owned and operated business, Abalon Foundation Repairs was established in 1970. Throughout the years, they have grown to have locations in Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton.

They have BBB accreditation, but what’s most impressive is they were awarded the BBB Torch Awards for Ethics four times! For us, that highly speaks about their service!

They specialize in structural repairs and waterproofing. We appreciate their wide range of services, including crack and wall repair, underpinning, foundation wall replacement, telepost adjustment, and wall bracing.

Furthermore, we appreciate their expertise in handling small or big jobs. It doesn’t matter if you have an older home (even those built 40 years ago) because their crew has expertise in that.

Our favourite aspect is their continuous testing of new methods and their use of different materials to find the right one depending on the problem. The way we see it, their upskilling earns them points!

They offer two warranties: a lifetime guarantee but only for basement waterproofing and a transferable guarantee that lasts for ten years.

However, we think Avalon Foundation Repairs need to improve on customer service. While many praised their quality of workmanship, they also received some complaints about client support, which was quite saddening.

Boost Concrete Lifting is a Manitoba-based business whose founder has over ten years of experience in renovations and development. Their specialization is repairing sunken concretes, from garages to basements.

Their services include polyurethane concrete lifting and concrete slab levelling and repair. However, there are no other available foundation repair services in case yours requires a different method.

On a positive note, their process of repair is cost-effective, which we like, of course! This is good news for homeowners on tight budgets.

Furthermore, it’s a minimally invasive technique since it only requires drilling small holes. Thus, it doesn’t need heavy excavation.

Additionally, polyurethane concrete lifting can be done in just a few hours unless the property is big. We also like that the treated area can be used immediately.

While we appreciate their focus on residential clients, that sadly means they don’t cater to commercial establishments for foundation repairs. Boost Concrete Lifting is a small company, after all. 

Based on our client surveys, their crew was responsive and highly professional. They arrived on time and didn’t fail to clean up the area thoroughly.

On top of that, their rates were reasonable, and some were on point with the original quote. That’s quite a rare thing, eh?

Their workmanship deserves to be mentioned because of their consistency. In fact, previous clients were really happy with the final results!
