We like that Smyth Dental Centre makes for a solid one-stop clinic for rebuilding both the function and aesthetics of your teeth. Their restorative services include crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays, root canals, dentures, and implants. 

Speaking of aesthetics, their orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry play a crucial role in fulfilling your ideal smile. You can get Spark Clear Aligners, teeth whitening, veneers, and more, which are backed by digital smile designs so you can preview results. 

That said, we have to give props to their modern gear like digital X-rays, panoramic imaging, intraoral scanners, and digital smile design. Plus, you can even get laser treatment for your gums and soft tissues for a less invasive procedure, more comfort, and speedy healing. 

The catch? You’ll have to settle the bill at the time of your appointment, which can be inconvenient for some. On the bright side, they do direct billing to insurance (for those who have coverage), making payment easier and lighter.

With over 25 years of experience, St. Laurent Dental Centre is a reliable clinic for a wide range of dental treatments, especially since they’ve refined and picked up valuable practices from past cases.  They cover cleanings, implants, surgeries, orthodontics, and gum therapy.

We’re impressed by their thorough assessments; you see, on your first visit, they do comprehensive exams like oral cancer screening and X-rays, and then develop a plan. You get a long-term roadmap for your dental health—ideal for those who want to stick to one clinic. 

Also, if you’re the type to get spooked or anxious during dental procedures, then you can opt for their sedation options for certain treatments.

Just note that they’re closed on weekends, so you’ll need to make some time if you have a busy weekday schedule. You’ll have to pay upfront, too, which can be daunting for some.

The good news is that you can work on a financing plan for certain procedures, so make sure you discuss this during your visit.

Sandy Hill Dental Centre is a reliable clinic to get cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, and extractions. Having more than 30 years of experience in their bag makes them more efficient and decisive when it comes to simple or complex cases.

We also love that they’re good at handling kids, especially for those who come in for their first dental visits. On that note, we found that many patients have been with Sandy Hill since they were kids, and now, as fully grown adults, which says a lot about their consistency and service. 

Another thing we like is that they’ll electronically submit your insurance claim right after the diagnosis, and they even have payment options to help you manage costs.

But, we do feel a bit iffy after hearing some frustrations regarding the lack of addressing concerns, which can be a dealbreaker if you’re in a rush or anxious. 

Still, we can’t deny their expertise in navigating through different dental needs.

What caught our attention with Ottawa West Dental is their use of high-tech diagnostic equipment, such as digital and panoramic X-rays, an intra-oral camera, and VELscope for early cancer detection. This means you get more accurate results and catch potential problems early. 

Thanks to their advanced tech, like the CEREC and on-site lab, they can even make dental crowns in just one appointment. So, you don’t have to wait weeks or make multiple visits for a crown, saving you time.

They’ve got laser treatment to manage gum disease and perform soft-tissue procedures, too. The process isn’t daunting since it’s less invasive and is more gentle than traditional methods. 

Here’s the thing, though: we did come across some sentiments regarding some scheduling issues, with some appointments being rescheduled. They’re closed on weekends, too, so double-checking before your appointment is a good idea to avoid arriving at nothing. 

Nonetheless, Ottawa West Dental is a decent choice for the dental needs of all ages.

Given that Pretoria Bridge Dental has been in the industry for over 50 years, many of their patients have literally grown up with them as their go-to dentist. Some of the patients we spoke with shared that they’ve been going here for over 16 years and 20 years, which shows their competency.

What we like most is their emergency dental service, treating urgent issues like cracked or knocked-out teeth. Having a place to go to prevent further damage, pain, or complications is a huge plus.

We also have to highlight their impressive gum care, such as scaling and root planning, bone grafts, gum grafts, and pocket reduction. They’re reliable for advanced or more complex gum treatment. 

On the downside, if you want to be sedated during your procedure, you’ll need to book in advance, since last-minute appointments won’t have this option. 

But hey, this means that they’re thorough with sensitive things like sedation, even if it might take longer. Plus, getting here won’t be a problem, considering their convenient downtown location.
