Pros

  • Great with weight loss programs
  • No special supplements
  • Offers free assessment
  • Has a holistic approach
  • Does regular body scans

Cons

  • Pricing available upon request

With over 30 years of combined experience, the team of nutritionists at Caven Nutrition Group has an impressive résumé. They specialize in various areas, so you can naturally turn to them for concerns on nutrition, like weight loss, digestion, fertility, mental health, eating disorders, and more.

Speaking of which, their weight loss programs have quite the reputation, especially their personalized plans.

And from what we’ve seen, they’ve nailed it! They’ve helped clients smash their weight loss goals from 20 lbs to 60 lbs—all without those tasteless shakes or special supplements that make the entire process like a chore.

They also take a holistic approach and have a high level of thoroughness with their programs, considering everything from sleep habits to stress levels, bowel movements to skin blemishes, and beyond.

We believe this process makes the entire experience more worthwhile; it’s like hitting a flock of birds with one stone.

Also, props to them for doing regular body scans, usually every quarter. For those who like hard data and stats to track their progress, these tests can reassure you that the program’s on track and the changes are making a big difference for the better.

One thing that bugs us a bit is that they don’t have a clear pricing scheme or basic rates for their services, which can be a hassle if you’re just browsing.

But hey, that free assessment does sound pretty good, and we can’t deny that Caven Nutrition Group is a solid choice—especially for weight loss.

Pros

  • Has a wide range of services
  • Offers free consultations
  • Has in-house registered dietitians
  • Accepts insurance
  • Pricing and fees available online

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • In-person appointments are by appointment only

JM Nutrition pretty much has all the bases covered when it comes to nutrition, which we like because you can dive deep into understanding your situation.

They’re great if you’re planning on shedding pounds or packing them on, need meal plans, manage chronic diseases, or even tackle skin conditions.

They also have in-house registered dietitians who handle nutrition assessments, management, and meal planning. We think it’s worth highlighting because their credentials aren’t just about being effective; they also give you the peace of mind to hold them accountable for their services.

They’ve got free consultations, too, usually online, which is pretty sweet if you’re juggling a busy schedule or commuting’s a pain. And the clients we chatted with were happy about JM Nutrition’s quick responses and how they accommodate different schedules without a hitch.

On the flip side, their registered dietitians and nutritionists are up for on-site appointments, but you have to schedule ahead. It’s a bit of a downer if you’re into spontaneous walk-ins or face-to-face chats with your nutritionist.

Here’s the silver lining: you can check out their packages and pricing online, which is cool because you can get a feel for what you might spend with just a few scrolls.

Plus, they’re down with insurance, which helps ease the strain on your wallet (you’ll have to check with your insurance provider first, though).

Pros

  • Offers virtual and in-person appointments
  • Specializes in combining nutrition and psychology
  • Excellent in handling eating disorders
  • Compassionate and non-judgmental team

Cons

  • Doesn’t offer direct billing for insurance
  • Pricier than others

The Balanced Practice has this unique approach where they combine nutrition and psychology, which we think is pretty standout. This combo’s top-notch if you’re aiming to bounce back from disordered eating and eating disorders and just overall boost your health and well-being.

They’ve also got quite the track record when it comes to dealing with eating disorders effectively and in a way that sticks.

The clients we spoke with were happy to share their journey and how they managed to overcome their hurdles, leading to a healthier relationship with food and just a better life in general.

It’s also no secret that The Balanced Practice has a stellar team of experts—think registered dietitians, psychotherapists, and social workers who specialize in food relationships, body image, and mindset work.

We think their crew is astounding because they’ve got all the angles covered for your overall health.

Plus, their team is known for being incredibly compassionate, without a hint of judgment about relief, eh? They’re all about easing your stress and struggles with food rather than piling on more pressure.

Just a heads up, they’re a bit on the pricier side compared to others. You’re looking at around $240 for an in-person nutrition assessment—that’s a bit over $50 more than the average cost.

But all in all, they’re a reliable pick, especially if you’re dealing with eating disorders or have a rocky relationship with food.

Pros

  • Has affordable pricing
  • Has payment options
  • Great in handling diabetes
  • Does grocery tours

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Has limited services

Susan Alsembach, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, is a pro on weight management. Their grocery tour service is a hit, they’ll walk you through understanding labels, what to snag, and what to skip—plus, you get some handy educational materials thrown in.

They’ve got the skills and experience to coach and guide people, especially those with type 2 diabetes. There are plenty of testimonials proving that Susan’s weekly coaching, meal plans, and consistent support through communication and resource materials have made a real impact.

It’s also handy that they’ve got their prices listed right on their website, along with what each program includes. We love this because you can quickly check out the duration and what they offer just by scrolling.

Plus, with rates as low as $100 for a service, they’re definitely going to be high up on your list of contenders.

But, their services are more limited than others on this list, which might be a deal-breaker if you’re after a comprehensive experience. Oh, and another thing— they’re closed on weekends, so it did take two more days to get our Friday night inquiry answered.

Lastly, they offer payment plans on all their packages, which is awesome because you can get started ASAP without dropping all the cash upfront

Pros

  • Handles both kid and adult nutrition
  • Offers a rehabilitation program
  • Offers tube feed weaning

Cons

  • Closed on weekends
  • Slow response time
  • Slightly pricier than others

Kennedy Nutrition dishes out evidence-based recommendations tailored to each client’s unique situation. With their experience, they can tackle everything from everyday health concerns like food allergies and picky eating to more serious issues like injuries from accidents.

Here’s something neat—they cover both kids’ nutrition and adult health, so everyone can benefit. Plus, some parents we spoke to mentioned that their toddlers are trying new foods and enjoying meals more.

They also have a solid rehab program that caught our eye—they team up with your doctors and therapists to craft a rehabilitation plan. They’ve worked wonders for clients dealing with everything from accidents to brain and orthopedic injuries, all thanks to their experienced team.

One thing that also stood out to us is their tube feed weaning service—it’s pretty unique compared to others on this list. They’re all about supporting families who might not have easy access to feeding therapy or tube-feed weaning, helping them move towards a tube-free lifestyle, which is a plus in our books.

As for pricing, some of their rates can be a bit steep, like their $225 adult digestive health assessment. But hey, we’d recommend Kennedy Nutrition if you’re looking for help with child nutrition, especially if you’re struggling to find that balance between healthy and tasty meals.
