Winnipeg New Music Festival Leads the Way for Musical Brilliance This 2025

It’s no secret that orchestra concerts bring out the best symphonies. From January 21 to 25, Winnipeg New Music Festival (WMNF) returns with spectacular composers, conductors, and artists at the Centennial Concert Hall and Desautels Concert Hall.

For four nights, you can marvel at classical music played by distinguished artists! WNMF starts with Canadian conductor and composer Samy Moussa, one of our favourite Canadian gems.

The following night brings in Greek composer Konstantia Gourzi and German trumpet soloist Simon Höfele. It continues the next day with pulsating music by Grammy winner Attacca Quartet.

Then, the festival closes with musical director Daniel Raiskin and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, as well as Manitoban composer Nic Bray.

The last performance is of the concerto Absolute Jest by musical genius John Adams, which is played by the Attaca Quartet.
