Pros
- Specializes in electronics
- Works on all kinds of TVs
- Sells replacement parts
- Has competitive rates
Cons
- Needs to include detailed estimates
- Needs improvement on customer service
- Has a cluttered shop
Sterling Electronics specializes in electronic repairs, which our team highly appreciates. For us, it means the technicians have the proper skills when doing TV repair work.
This repair shop accepts all kinds of TVs, whether LCD, plasma, or LED! Our team really liked that because it’s what we were looking for.
Additionally, the technicians have the knowledge and experience to do repair work for other types of electronics. They accept amplifiers, stereos, and many more.
Aside from repairs, they also sell replacement parts. That’s an advantage because the client doesn’t have to go to a different shop to look for missing parts.
In fact, they have some parts listed on the website. But it would be best to include the price (or at least estimated prices) since they added them on the website already.
Moreover, you can visit their physical shop in Edmonton. Just note that it can feel cramped inside because there’s too much stuff.
Although some clients liked the reasonable rates, we feel that the technicians can provide detailed estimates before proceeding with the repair.
We were disappointed to learn that some clients didn’t receive a detailed estimate about the needed repairs. To avoid miscommunications, we believe they need to provide more information to their clients and improve customer service.

Pros
- Specializes in electronics
- Offers same-day service
- Sells replacement parts
- Has reasonable rates
Cons
- Difficult to contact
- Lack of updates
One of the reasons we included Milky Way Electronics Service Center on our list is that it specializes in many types of electronics.
The technicians are knowledgeable in repairing different brands and models, which is essential when looking for TV repair services.
Other than that, we like the same-day service, which not all electronic repair shops do in Edmonton. It’s convenient for emergencies, don’t you think?
But keep in mind that same-day service doesn’t necessarily mean the TV will get repaired in one day. Some repairs will need replacement parts, especially if they’re old.
The good thing is that Milky Way sells electronic parts for TVs, TV lamps, projectors, computers, and more! That’s convenient because there’s a chance they have the necessary parts on hand.
Moreover, you can simply purchase the parts if you need them for other repairs at home. They have a tonne on hand for LCD screens, printers, and computers.
Additionally, our team (and clients) liked the reasonable rates. It’s convenient for people with limited budgets.
However, we did hear a few complaints about customer service. Some clients had difficulty getting a hold of them, which isn’t very reassuring since they offer same-day service.
We also hope they can improve on updating regarding the repair service since there were instances clients had to call them for updates.

Pros
- Has a wide variety of services
- Offers house call diagnosis
- Has reasonable rates
- Has available replacement parts
- Fast turnaround time
Cons
- Doesn’t repair damaged TV screens
- Limited service areas for house calls
One of the things we liked about Danny electronics is its variety of services. It allows clients to hire just one company instead of looking for another one.
Aside from TV repairs, the technicians will also do maintenance, rebuilds, and even installation. Nice and convenient, right?
The repair shop has been in the industry for over 30 years. In our opinion, this is helpful because it means they’ve come across different kinds of TV issues, giving them the knowledge to fix the problems correctly.
Our team found it commendable that they will not diagnose via phone call or online. Technicians need to inspect the TV for a correct diagnosis personally, so we appreciate their honesty.
Additionally, they offer house calls for clients who can’t bring the TV to their shop. Just take note that it has limited service areas.
Furthermore, the in-shop diagnosis fee starts at a reasonable price of $40 + GST. The bigger the TV, the higher the price – but still within competitive rates.
A minor drawback is they don’t repair damaged TV screens. So, if that’s the service you need, you may need to check other TV repair shops in Edmonton.
Danny Electronics is also closed on Mondays, sadly. On the other hand, they do operate on Saturdays.
Lastly, they have replacement parts available in the shop. If they have the correct part, they can fix your TV in one to three days – that’s a fast service!

Pros
- Has factory-trained technicians
- A factory-authorized service center for major brands
- Provides in-home service
- Offers TV installation
Cons
- Difficulty getting a response
- Has limited services
For over 30 years, MSJ Electronic Services has served Edmonton with repair services. Due to its experience in the industry, it has a tonne of knowledge in fixing TVs of different makes and models.
Impressively, the technicians are factory-trained. This entails they have the proper background in repairing any brand of TVs.
Aside from that, they provide in-home TV diagnosis. It’s convenient for clients with big TVs and those who cannot physically bring theirs to the shop.
What’s even more impressive is that MSJ Electronic Services is a factory-authorized service center. So, if your TV is from Sony, Samsung, JVS, or Philips, you can have warranty-covered repairs.
But don’t worry if your TV isn’t part of that list because the technicians also accept non-warranty repairs. Pretty neat, right?
Another advantage of hiring MSJ Electronic Services is they do TV installation in Edmonton! On top of that, the technicians will make sure to integrate your audio system for the perfect viewing experience.
Plus, past clients liked their fair prices. Although some replacement parts can be pricier, the overall cost is still within the reasonable range.
Unfortunately, a recurring problem we noticed is they’re quite difficult to get a hold of for diagnosis. Some clients mentioned that no one picked up their calls or replied to their emails.
We also noticed that compared to other TV repair services in Edmonton, MSJ offers limited services.

Pros
- Technicians are factory-trained
- Has competitive rates
- Fast turnaround time
Cons
- Unavailable on Saturdays
- Doesn’t offer in-house diagnosis
Since 1998, ProService Electronics Group has been repairing consumer and professional electronics in Edmonton. We appreciate the technicians’ background and knowledge in the industry.
Moreover, the technicians are factory-trained. This is good news because it means they’re knowledgeable in repairing TVs using manufacturer standards.
Aside from that, the repairs they’ve made will remain covered by the warranty. That’s a beneficial thing, in our opinion!
Additionally, they have years of experience working with different TV makes and models. The way we see it, this gives them the familiarity of a wide array of TV issues.
For those unable to bring their TVs to the shop, ProService suggests shipping the products to them. They don’t offer in-house service, unfortunately.
That’s quite disappointing since most Edmonton TV repair shops offer in-house services. The shipping fee will also add to the diagnostics and repair fee, which can get pricey.
So, it’s a good thing that ProService has competitive rates—even past clients agreed because they were happy with the final invoice.
We were happy that they normally have a fast turnaround time, and some even got their TVs a few days earlier than the promised date. Just remember that it may take a while if the necessary parts are unavailable.
Lastly, they’re closed on Saturdays. It’s inconvenient, we believe, since most TV repair services are open on Saturdays in the city.
