Spa Jasper is a prime example of a hotel spa done right. For starters, it offers a wide array of relaxing services, ranging from massages to tanning, mani-pedis, and interestingly, teeth whitening.

We also appreciate the variety they offer in each category, like their massages, which feature deep tissue, cupping, and prenatal. What caught our attention, however, was their Valley of Five massage, which is a nature-centric experience that uses forest aromas and warm stones.

Previous clients who tried these massages also praised the spa’s masseuses for their expert kneading and professionalism. They told us how they would frequently stop mid-massage to make sure their pressure is just right.

We also like the spa’s overall relaxing ambience, thanks to the dimly lit rooms and aromatic scents. The same vibes can be found in their receiving area, making waiting untroublesome.

The only thing they could improve is their operating hours, as they’re only open five days a week. Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to schedule an appointment through their website.

Actually targeted my pain

“A fantastic massage that actually targeted my pain and trouble areas, mixed with gentle stretches as well. Robert was great. He was very friendly and a very talented massage therapist.

Our respondents mainly recommended Jasper Wellness to us because of its accessibility, being open seven days a week, and its location is directly across the train station. We also liked how foolproof the booking system was, as it allows you to book by treatment or practitioner.

Their massages, albeit a bit limited, are also highlight-worthy. They primarily offer prenatal and therapeutic massages, but all of them are worth experiencing because of the masterful kneading of their masseuses.

We also appreciate the variety of treatments they offer beyond massages, including fire cupping. Clients who tried this method reported that their muscle pains immediately went away afterwards, and that they felt incredibly relaxed.

The spa’s Somatic Affective Talk and Touch service surprised us the most, as it combined dialogue with gentle touches. It’s geared towards those going through trauma to ease the burden from their shoulders.

Jasper Wellness also fosters a strong sense of community, with friendly staff and practitioners, as well as yoga classes.

Fairmont Spa won us over with its cosy, comfy waiting area, complete with a fireplace, a variety of chairs and sofas, and complimentary snacks and beverages. Furthermore, it overlooks the majestic Beauvert Lake and the mountains beyond.

We also liked the variety and depth of their spa services, especially their “Signature Expressions”. Among these is the Rockies Ritual, which is the ultimate pamper package, featuring a foot soak and scrub, back exfoliation and mud mask, and a personalised facial.

We reached out to clients who tried these signature services, and they shared how the entire experience felt premium and relaxing. They also attributed the experience to the expert hands of the practitioners, who they noted as gentle and friendly.

With its premium feel and beautiful natural scenery, however, the prices are steeper. It’s one of the main issues we noticed during our interviews, but even they told us that it was worth experiencing at least once.

Although it’s an hour’s drive away from Jasper, Salt.Hinton is just too good to pass up for its premium quality salon and medispa services. For starters, their lookbook is spectacular, featuring different styles and colours.

Their hairstyling package can also include a relaxing head massage. Previous clients have highlighted it as being therapeutic, with some even noting that they fell asleep during the experience.

We were also impressed to discover that they offer various types of facials, from chemical peels to derma needling and more. One that stood out to us was the advanced bio light facial, which used marine biotechnology to help brighten the skin.

The salon and spa also offers a cosy ambience, thanks to the dim lights and huge windows that let in tons of natural light. 

The customer service is always welcoming, and regulars noted they always have fun conversations during their treatments—plus, staff members offer free coffee.

Insignia Salon & Spa was on our radar, even though it was an hour away from Jasper, because of the overwhelmingly positive sentiments of their regulars during our interviews. Some of our interviewees even came from farther areas, and they said that the trip is always worth it.

Upon seeing their selection of services, we immediately understood why, as they offered hair, nails, and spa services. 

Furthermore, we’ve heard that their services were of great quality, especially the reflexology. Clients highlighted that the practitioner consistently took the time to ensure they had the best possible experience.

We were also impressed with their personalised facial package, which includes everything from skin analysis, serums, exfoliation, and moisturisation.

The staff members were also brought up constantly by our interviewees, stating how they were responsible for making them feel comfortable and right at home at the spa.

We only wish that the spa would operate on Sundays as well, as it’s when most locals have their free time.
