We like how efficient they are, especially when it comes to their free consultations. There won’t be any guessing games needed since they bring real paint samples with them to test on your walls under your home’s lighting.

Speaking of paint, they use low-VOC paint to reduce odour, improve indoor air quality, and be a safer alternative for families, pets, and the environment. 

As for the actual paint job, we have to say that they have an eye for detail and don’t cut any corners. They would even remove old phone lines, do extensive wall repairs, and take down chandeliers for better coverage and results—impressive work, overall!

And we appreciate that they truly value their clients’ homes, given how they keep everything tidy and clean. Just note to book ahead if you want a summer schedule, since they fill up quickly.

That said, this also means landlords and business owners can count on them for coating condos, apartments, offices, and warehouses. Plus, they’re transparent with their process and provide clear communication and walkthroughs—you won’t be left in the dark.

They don’t mess around when it comes to surface prep, either. We like that with interior jobs, they protect floors and furniture, sand and repair surfaces, caulk cracks, apply high-quality paint with at least two coats, and clean up after.

Their exterior projects are just as meticulous; they also do detailed prep work like pressure-washing, scraping old paint, sanding primed bare wood, replacing rotten caulking, and repairing trim.

You can probably tell by their name, The Painter’s Daughter is an all-women team of painters. We love how they can be a good choice for female homeowners who would feel more comfortable if another woman shows up to their house to paint the interior.

In a technical sense, we’re impressed by their close attention to detail with thorough prep like sanding, wall repair, caulking, and between-coat sanding. They also use high-quality paint products, so the paint job tends to last and offer a better finish. 

We also have to give their interior work a proper highlight. They’re flexible when it comes to many interior surfaces and components, such as doors, trim, stair railings/spindles, moulding, cabinets, vanities, and even floor surfaces. 

On the flip side, they don’t focus on outdoor or large-scale exterior projects, so you’ll have to look elsewhere. 

The good news is that if you do get to work with them for interior work or small-scale exterior paint jobs, you can expect reliable results, especially with minor details.
