From what we’ve seen, Bellwood Health Services is a solid choice if you’re looking for comprehensive addiction treatment. 

What we like most about them is their mix of inpatient and outpatient programs, tackling various addictions. Their holistic approach, blending medical, psychological, and social support, seems to work well for many people!

What really stands out, though, is their success rate. According to our research, over 75% of clients stay sober a year after treatment. 

Many patients we surveyed also commended the staff for their dedication and supportive attitude—a plus in our books because this aspect can make a big difference in the recovery process.

On the downside, the cost is on the higher side, but most clients say that they’re worth the penny. The facilities are modern and comfortable, and you  get private rooms, a gym, and other recreational activities to keep you balanced during recovery

Finally, we must mention that we might have to wait for a spot in some programs because they’re in demand, and based on what we’ve seen when we checked them out, we aren’t surprised at all.

I recommend this treatment . Everyone from the cleaning staff the cooks staff the Sc staff the nursing staff and the Pc staff made my welcome feel like i was at home. I went into bellwood with a chip on my shoulder and came out with the weight on my back and a new person on life. I especially like to thank Emilie for everything she did for me. They are very professional, emphatic, and they challenge you

I was at a very low point in my life and I could not pull myself out of my mental health issues on my own. Bellwood is expensive but I would recommend it to anyone seeking help. The medical staff are really thorough, I had the longest appointments I have ever had with physicians at the facility. The counselors are very professional, empathetic and most importantly they challenge you. The sessions I had with Josh, Lynn and Edward were quite fruitful. They also have very passionate and caring physical recreation staff. I really enjoyed the walks, yoga and gym time with Wendy.

Canadian Centre for Addictions (CCFA) is another strong contender in the realm of addiction treatment. They provide a range of services including detox, residential treatment, and aftercare programs. 

One of the notable aspects of CCFA is their private, serene setting, which offers a peaceful environment conducive to recovery. 

We love the private, serene setting at CCFA, perfect for a peaceful recovery. Their experienced team of doctors, therapists, and counselors is dedicated to guiding clients through every step of the process. With a low staff-to-client ratio, you get plenty of personalized attention.

Another thing that’s great is the stories we hear about who recovered coming out of this facility. Remember, after care is just as important as caring for the patients who are inside the facility for many months. And we’re glad to report that they do a phenomenal job at this!

On the downside, the private, personalized care at CCFA comes with a higher price tag. Plus, the remote location, while great, might be too far from urban centers for some.

What makes a rehab center special to us is how they treat their patients on and off the facility, and Metamorphosis Centre for Change excels in this regard. 

They also happen to provide a range of services, including detox, residential treatment, and aftercare programs, focusing on a holistic approach that addresses both mind and body.

But let’s talk about the setting first. Metamorphosis boasts a serene, resort-like atmosphere that helps clients feel at ease. However, the location is quite remote, which is something to consider.

On the upside, clients often highlight the peaceful surroundings as a significant factor in their healing process. Green spaces, hammocks, and firepits are literally everywhere which create a relaxing environment, making it easier for individuals to focus on their recovery journey. 

Of course, these top-notch facilities are reflected in the costs. But their aftercare system is also top-notch, with many patients testifying they’ve been treated and asked for updates even after they were released! 

But what about their treatment approach? Well, the center’s plans are highly personalized, incorporating one-on-one counseling, group therapy, and holistic therapies such as yoga and art therapy. 

They have a supportive and compassionate staff

My experience at Metamorphosis Centre for change was absolutely amazing. The program helped me deal with my addiction and also gave me the tools and knowledge to deal with my recovery once I returned home. The facility and staff were very supportive and compassionate and the accommodations and meals were second to none. I highly recommend Metamorphosis to anyone struggling with addiction. The work and support they provide are unparalleled 

Metamorphosis changed my life the work and support they provide is unparalleled and everyone who works there truly loves and want you to love yourself for the beautiful person you are. I can’t say enough about my experience from walking through the doors on the first day feeling so broken and lost. All the tools and coping strategies I learned there plus all the hard work. Not only are the staff amazing but the environment and community with the others you meet there is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. In terms of taking care of rehab patients and making them feel at home, Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centres really sells on the promise! 

From our visit, we saw that they offer a wide range of services, including residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and even virtual rehab, catering to various needs and schedules.

Their treatment approach really impressed us. Trafalgar focuses on personalized care, starting with a thorough psychiatric assessment to tailor each treatment plan to the client’s unique needs. 

Another thing that impressed us is their treatment and updates after the patient comes out of the facility. There have been many stories from patients that are inspiring when they were given aftercare treatment that made recovering even more effective. 

We also noted the exceptional quality of the staff at Trafalgar. All therapists hold at least a Master’s degree and have extensive experience in treating addiction and mental health disorders. 

Sadly, we can’t praise it the same way in terms of their virtual programs. They’re simply too convoluted for first-time patients and need more clarity during consultation periods. 

It also doesn’t help that it’s quite expensive, though we’re confident that they do offer exceptional treatment services. 

They have sensitive and compassionate staff

Trafalger addiction treatment centre was a lifeline and glimmer of hope when I didn’t have any in my own life or my future. The staff are compassionate, sensitive and prepared to deal with even the most complex addiction issues and concurrent disorders. I’m not sure where’d I’d be today had I not enrolled in their program. I would strongly recommend their inpatient program to anyone suffering from addiction.

They can lead you to the right path 

Old Geezer formally known as Studmuffin….I  would like to thank all the staff and residents of Trafalgar Addiction Centre for everything they have shown me and helped me with recovery.  I went in as a Broken Man and came out a better person.  I can not begin to express all my gratitude towards them.  I plan on going down the right path and continue to work all the steps.  Best wishes to all future residents with their program. GreeneStone Centre for Recovery is probably the standard when it comes to creating a supportive and home-like atmosphere for rehab patients. 

Their comprehensive range of services includes medical detox, primary residential treatment, and second stage recovery programs.

What really impressed us about GreeneStone is their highly personalized treatment approach. Each plan begins with a biopsychosocial evaluation and psychiatric assessment, ensuring every client gets a tailored, holistic treatment plan. 

Their programs include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed therapy. 

We also found their unique programs, like the Indigenous Healing track and the Military Program, particularly noteworthy. But of course, we have to also highlight their aftercare support. 

They have been addressing concerns and feedback from patients who recently, or even for a time, came out of the facility which is truly amazing for that boost of extra treatment to ensure that they maintain progress through and through. 

But on the not-so-good side, their location is quite out-of-reach making visits a tad tedious for visitors and even patients who go there in regular intervals. 

Fortunately, their Indigenous program has spiritual counseling, land-based teachings, and art therapy, while the military program focuses on treating PTSD, trauma, and substance use in veterans and active military members. 

It takes you to a wellness and spiritual journey

I spent 45 days at Greenestone in 2024 and it changed my life. I never expected rehab would be a wellness and spiritual journey that could lead to so much acceptance and happiness. As a mother of two young children, I was really struggling when I arrived, but within days I felt better than I had felt in years. The care, support, education and treatment at this facility is incredible, and staying in a beautiful room and seeing the amazing sunrise over the lake every morning connected me to nature in a new way. Special thanks to my coach Abby, my therapist Leslie and the alumni director Jeremy for keeping me connected to an inspiring group of people even after I left.
