Pros
- Provides Canadian-made products
- Offers energy-efficient solutions
- Has financing options
- Frequently offers discounts
- Provides factory direct prices
Cons
- Limited window selection
One of the things we like about Vinyl Windows & Doors is their experience, which is 16 years. For us, that’s a testament to their commitment to providing window and door services in Toronto.
We appreciate their vast selection, which is Canadian-made! For windows, they have vinyl casement, awning, single-hung, double-hung, end vent, and bay—quite a large selection, no?
Additionally, we like that they specialize in exterior doors, including modern steel entry, fibreglass, sliding, and retractable. They even offer blinds to cover your patio doors and windows.
However, since they specialize in vinyl windows, colour customization can be limited since you cannot stain or paint on vinyl. Nonetheless, their workmanship and installation are what’s most important—and we heard compliments from past clients!
One of our favourite factors about Vinyl Windows & Doors is their advocacy for providing energy-efficient solutions. They use a triple seal compression locking system, which provides better compression and results in noise reduction.
Additionally, their system keeps your home safe from pests and critters coming in. It’s also hard to unlock in case of break-ins.
Price-wise, we appreciate their dedication to providing affordable rates. They’re able to do this by offering factory direct prices.
On top of that, they frequently offer discounts and rebate programs. Even clients with limited budgets can get their windows and doors replaced, especially with their financing options.
The last thing we appreciate is their extensive warranties, including a lifetime window warranty and up to 20 years for doors. Even their labour warranty, ten years from installation day, is a good deal.

Pros
- Open since 1989
- 2x winner of HomeStars Best of Awards
- Products are built for Canadian weather
- Has Energy Star Certified products
- Accepts Canada Greener Homes Grant
- Offers buy now, pay later option
Cons
- Doesn’t accept weekend appointments
- Showroom is in Vaughan
Impressively, Delco Windows and Doors has been in business since 1989! They even won HomeStars Best of Awards twice, in 2019 and 2020.
We commend them for using products and materials that are made to withstand the climate in Canada. That’s another impressive factor since we know how extreme our weather can be.
Besides that, they also offer energy-efficient products, which are helpful to keep your monthly bills down. In fact, their windows and doors are Energy Star Certified in Canada!
What makes them stand out is they have a showroom in Vaughan. While it’s a convenient feature as it allows you to see their vast selection of windows and doors, it’s just quite far away from Toronto.
Speaking of window and door selection, we were pleasantly surprised at their options! They even offer tilt-and-turns, which open in two ways for better air ventilation.
One thing worth highlighting is their financing, including a buy now, pay later option. You can also choose monthly installments for up to 36 months, making their services budget-friendly for every Torontonian.
Furthermore, it’s nice that they accept the Canada Greener Homes Grant, offering up to $5,000 in grants to Ontario homeowners who want to switch to energy-efficient windows and doors. The Delco team will also explain the qualification process.
However, it was a bummer that Delco Windows and Doors doesn’t accept weekend appointments. Sadly, their weekend unavailability includes their showroom.

Pros
- Sells a wide selection of hardware
- Provides 3-point lock system doors
- Offers rebates and grants
- Products are 100% Canadian-made
Cons
- No showroom available
- Closed on Sundays
Toronto Windows & Doors is one of our picks due to their wide selection of windows and doors. They offer various styles to fit your home’s aesthetic needs, which we feel can help increase home value!
If you need to replace your windows and doors, you can choose from different types that are more energy efficient, from modern to classic looks. They have steel doors, wrought iron doors, awning windows, and single or double slider lifts—a wide selection!
It’s a plus that they also sell a large collection of hardware, so you can match everything perfectly. It includes a 3-point lock system that offers better security against break-ins.
Additionally, it was thrilling to learn that all their products are 100% Canadian-made! That’s a massive advantage because it means their windows and doors can withstand Canadian weather!
However, they don’t have a showroom. That’s kind of disappointing for us since showrooms allow the client to see their products up close before buying a replacement window and door.
Toronto Windows & Doors is also wallet-friendly. They offer rebates and grants through the Home Energy Loan Program for Toronto residents who want to switch to energy-efficient windows and doors.
Lastly, they’re open six days a week. However, their Sundays are closed for appointments, a minor inconvenience for clients who prefer weekend window and door replacement services.

Pros
- Award-winning company
- Accepts Canada Green Homes Grant
- Baeumler Approved company
- Has a showroom in various locations
- Offers flexible payment options
Cons
- Closed on Sundays
One of our top options for window and door replacement services, Eco Choice Windows & Doors, is an award-winning company with over two decades of experience. For us, this recognition shows the workmanship and attention to detail of their technicians!
Some of the awards they won are the HomeStars 2023 Best of the Best, Toronto Star Reader’s Choice 2022 Diamond, 2023 Best of Houzz Service, and the Top Choice Award for Mark of Excellence in 2021. That’s not all, though!
It doesn’t hurt that they’re Baeumler Approved. What that entails is the company’s commitment to providing good service quality.
Conveniently, they also accept the Canada Greener Homes Grant, offering up to $10,600 in grants. That’s good news for Torontonians who prefer to switch to energy-efficient windows and doors!
Aside from that, we like their flexible payment options, which include low monthly plans and no payment and interest for up to 12 months. We also like that it includes equal payments for up to five years, allowing you to pay monthly if the cost gets too high.
Their warranty is worth noting, too. If you get your windows and doors replaced, you get a non-prorated lifetime warranty for your peace of mind—nice!
As for accessibility, we were glad that they have various locations and showrooms in Ontario. Regardless of where you live in the GTA, they can reach you faster.
It’s just a slight inconvenience that they don’t have Sunday replacement services. Nonetheless, they are open six days a week, which makes up for it!

Pros
- Open daily
- Products are 100% lead-free
- Has energy-efficient windows
- Allows visits to the manufacturing plant
- Has a showroom
- Offers fully transferable lifetime warranty
Cons
- Issues with late appointments
- Limited window type selection
One of our window and door replacement choices in Toronto is Optima Windows and Doors. Besides their excellent workmanship quality, which their clients have praised them for, we admire them for being an environmental advocate.
We were glad to learn they don’t use harsh chemicals on all the things they work on, ensuring everything is safe for their clients and the environment. Their windows and door selections are also 100% lead-free, making them safe in every home.
We also like their window options, including Vinyl-Pro Optima, which are made to keep energy costs down due to the high-quality materials. But we noticed that they have a limited selection of window types, which was slightly disappointing.
Regardless of that, we like their entry and patio doors because the catalogue is so long; it almost feels limitless, from classic to modern! Plus, they have a fully transferrable lifetime manufacturer warranty!
Another advantage of Optima Windows and Doors is their availability. Luckily for busy clients, they’re open seven days a week, so there’s no need to scramble off for a weekend appointment!
In addition, it was pleasantly surprising that they accept visits to their showroom and manufacturing plant. It’s family-friendly as well, allowing you and your kids to check how they make their windows and doors—it shows their transparency, too!
What disappointed us about Optima Windows and Doors is their inconsistency with communication. Sadly, our client surveys showed that there were issues with late and no-shows during appointments.
