If you don’t want to feel intimidated or overwhelmed when you try Pilates, then Pilates x Jenna at U is a solid pick. We love how they create a safe and welcoming environment for beginners; sessions are structured so newcomers can learn patterns gradually while still feeling challenged.
Their studio gives off an intimate vibe, which means the instructor can monitor your form and technique better.
Speaking of form and technique, their reformer program focuses on mobility, core activation, and identifying muscular imbalances. So, you can expect sessions to be accessible to people recovering from injuries or those looking for low-impact exercise.
It’s also worth noting that this studio is part of a larger facility, making it easier for you to explore other wellness programs, like physiotherapy, kinesiology, massage therapy, and nutritional support. That said, we’re glad that they offer private and small group sessions.
Just note that their sessions depend on the instructor’s availability. But hey, we’re glad that their classes are usually spread out from early morning through evening.
Very clean, super organized
“Excellent trainers and staff, very clean, super organized. Always playing good beats on the sound system.
They offer personal training sessions as well as varied group classes. They also have rooms which offer ostheo, physio, massages, etc. It’s a one-stop shop for health & fitness. Love this place!”

One of the things that stood out to us the most about Pilates NDG is how they seamlessly blended comfort and challenge into one.
They specialize in classical Pilates that emphasizes a technique-first approach rather than trend-based workouts where you just hop on equipment or copy a pose. In other words, you’re more likely to achieve proper alignment, breathing, and core mechanics from the start.
And if you’re wondering how they can maintain this thoroughness, classes are intentionally kept limited to maintain quality, and each student gets personalized attention. Simply put, you’ll be receiving real-time corrections and not just general cues you hear from a lapel mic.
Price-wise? Their rates are affordable and transparent; you can easily book a drop-in class for around $35, and a 6-session intro class for just $165. So, we can’t blame them for having slots fill up quickly; you’ll have to book ahead.
Lastly, with Pilates NDG being women-owned, LGBTQ+ friendly, neurodivergent-friendly, trauma-informed, and even ESA-friendly, we love how they create a safe and welcoming environment.

What’s cool about Studio Sage is how they integrate classes with music, sensory elements, and mindful movement practices. It’s a hit for clients who want to use Pilates for stress relief, since this approach supports both physical and mental benefits.
It’s nice to walk into a non-initiating atmosphere, where you can move comfortably without performance expectations. You’ll quickly notice that their classes have slower introductory options that break down movements clearly to prevent injury—so, it’s incredibly beginner-friendly.
Another thing that caught our attention is their introductory packages, like their limited-time unlimited class trials. This is a good option if you don’t want to commit to long-term courses.
It’s just a bummer that they don’t offer reformer Pilates or formats that integrate equipment.
On a positive note, they have a team of certified instructors who specialize in other programs, such as yoga and barre disciplines. They even offer hybrid classes like Pilates-Barre that target core, glutes, and arms using low-impact, high-repetition movements.
Very clean, beautiful design
“Great new studio in the neighbourhood. Very clean, beautiful design- a pleasure to the eye- all white! Been to most of the classes- adore the flows, pilates and especially yin classes to wind down. Hot herbal teas as a bonus! All props in the studio, including mats are available- in case you don’t want to bring yours. Highly recommend!”

ForMe Pilates Studio definitely does feel like it’s for you and me, given that their programs cater to both beginners and advanced clients. From introductory sessions to more challenging sculpt or classes, you can continue progressing without needing to switch studios as your skill improves.
As for the class itself, we learned that they prioritize teaching you proper alignment, control, and body awareness rather than rushing through exercises without little to no correction. Thanks to this approach, clients often see better long-term results and fewer injuries.
Their diverse Pilates format is another win in our books. You see, they offer reformer, mat, sculpt, and heated sessions that target endurance, strength, and flexibility in different ways.
But, if you’re looking for something highly personalized, you might have to look elsewhere since they focus more on group classes than private sessions.
Nonetheless, it’s great that they have small class sizes; you can still expect personalized feedback and close monitoring of your form and execution.
The instructors are very friendly
“Beautiful studio, great views, very clean and the instructors are very friendly. Good for beginners and advanced!”

Range is something Studio Moving Just Fine Pilates can easily provide since they offer a range of reformer and mat Pilates formats. We love to see that they have classes that tap into gentle to high-energy levels, such as their Back 2 Basics and Barre on Reformer courses.
We have to give them props for using equipment like the Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformers, which is known for quality and smooth resistance. Modern equipment makes workouts safer and more comfortable, especially if you’re a newbie.
If you’re worried about pacing, then you can book their private sessions for a more tailored approach, particularly for those with injuries, postural needs, or movement goals. They also offer group sessions if you want something more social.
Quick heads up: you’ll have to lock in for a minimum of three months if you want to avail their memberships. The good news? You can easily cancel classes or sessions up to 8 hours before the start time without penalty fees.
Challenging without being intimidated
“The studio is warm and welcoming, as are the instructors. Pilates here feels challenging without being intimidating, even for someone new to fitness. There’s a genuine sense of belonging in the space that makes showing up feel natural, and makes the practice feel truly sustainable :)”
