However, we did notice some reports regarding late responses with follow-ups or post-service concerns, which we think they can work on. You’ll probably have to call the technician who worked with you directly to have it addressed as quickly as possible.

On the brighter side, we found that Rick Menard Heating & Cooling has gained long-term clients. And from what we’ve seen, installations and maintenance from Rick Menard’s team have allowed clients to enjoy their HVAC systems for years without any major issues.

For nearly 40 years, Anchor Home Comfort has been offering comprehensive HVAC services. From what we’ve seen, they cover everything from maintenance to service and repairs for all your home’s HVAC products.

What we like most about their services and products is the peace of mind they offer with multiple guarantees. They provide a two-year installation guarantee and a two-year guarantee for furnaces, and if they can’t fix it within 24 hours, they’ll compensate you with $1000. 

And if their system isn’t keeping a consistent temperature within five years of installation in your space, they’ll take care of it, even if it means replacing the entire system—at no extra cost!

On the downside, we’re a bit iffy after hearing about their lack of responsiveness, especially with unanswered emails. We’ve also noticed some concerns about no-shows from their team without any notice.

Nonetheless, we appreciate that they offer same-day and next-day installations. So, if you’ve just bought a new unit and want it up and running in your place ASAP, Anchor Home can work on it.

To top it off, we love that they’re available even after hours, including weekends and holidays, at no extra charge. For us, this is quite crucial, especially for those with emergencies.

Next up is Enercare. We appreciate that they’re a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to HVAC and plumbing services, boasting a team of over 700 licensed technicians specializing in everything from heating and cooling to plumbing, electrical, and water heating and treatment.

We also like their variety of payment, rental, and financing options tailored to your budget. For instance, you can snag up to 6 months off and receive a prepaid credit card worth up to $2100 when you rent a furnace and AC combo.

Another aspect that caught our eye is their service and parts warranty for repairs. For instance, their services usually include a 90-day labour warranty and a one-year product warranty, giving you some peace of mind.

However, we did notice some feedback about their lack of urgency in addressing concerns and follow-ups, especially with replacements.

Moreover, some clients have mentioned that booking a maintenance appointment can be a bit of a challenge. We were disappointed to find that some of them had to wait for about ten days before the next available slot.

Overall, though, we still think Enercare is a solid option for HVAC needs, especially since they’re available 24/7. Plus, we like that they offer free in-home assessments, ensuring clients get accurate quotes and inspections.

A notable aspect of J.C. Robinson & Sons Ltd Heating & Air Conditioning is that they have a long history in the HVAC industry since 1923. 

We’re impressed that they’ve earned a stellar reputation among Ottawa homeowners as a high-quality provider of products and services for air conditioning, heating, indoor air quality, and various other aspects of home comfort.

For example, many clients have mentioned that JC Robinson is their go-to for HVAC-related concerns or maintenance, especially for those who bought HVAC systems from them, too. Some have had no issues since they had it installed for over five years—a big win nowadays.

But just a heads up for those who might have concerns down the line – we’ve noticed they can be a bit slow in addressing them as promptly as you’d hope. It’s a good idea to reach out directly to the technician who handled your service to avoid any delays in response to emails or calls.

We also think they could step up their communication, especially in getting back to newer clients waiting for callbacks or email replies.

Nevertheless, we can’t overlook that their technicians are highly skilled and versatile, having dealt with all sorts of cases over the years of their service.
