7 Hotels in Kelowna That Guarantee a Good Night’s Sleep

Kelowna has an overall laid-back vibe, and I don’t know if it’s just because of the beauty of Okanagan Lake or the city’s selection of wineries (kelowna wineries). No matter the reason, there’s something about Kelowna that makes it a go-to of ours for holiday breaks.

We’ve never had a negative experience about staying overnight, as it’s home to high-quality hotels that range from fancy to budget-friendly and mid-tier. Also, finding the right hotel in a place as “outdoors-y” as this city will make or break your trip—that’s why I’m here!

Throughout the years, we’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in the city; some have disappeared while others are still standing strong. We’ve also noticed new ones that have recently entered the scene, and we think they would be great for you and your loved ones, so keep on reading!

Hyatt Place Kelowna is the perfect choice for families, as it ticks several boxes, such as spacious suites with multiple beds and facilities that both kids and adults will enjoy. Starting with the suites, they’re all modernly designed and offer stunning views of Downtown.

As for things to do, one of the main draws is the swimming facilities, which feature both an adult and kiddie pool. Meanwhile, fitness gurus can enjoy the premium gym facilities that come complete with machines, benches, and dumbbells.

We also recommend Hyatt Place Kelowna for people looking for accessibility because of its Downtown location. This means that attractions, stores, cafes, and restaurants are within walking distance.

Pro tip:
Check out their Offers before booking your room! They occasionally offer discounts and great value-for-money packages for their rooms, restaurants, and more!

Manteo at Eldorado Resort

If laid-back vibes are what you seek in your accommodation, then Manteo at Eldorado Resort should be right up your alley! This classy place is located by the pier, where you can admire the glistening waters and watch boats dock and pass by—it can’t get any more relaxed than that!

These vibes are carried over to the rooms and villas here, as each one features a minimalistic design with some hints of nautical elements. No matter which room you book, however, you can expect them to come with modern amenities such as fast Wi-Fi, water heaters, and other essential services.

There are also indoor and outdoor pools, as well as hot tubs, that’s free to use for all guests during their stay. However, the best amenity is the private beach, where guests can also rent water sports equipment like jet skis.

Pro tip:
You can also rent bicycles and enjoy a peaceful ride along the waterfront boardwalk that overlooks the beautiful Fascieux Creek.

The Royal Anne Hotel

Contact details: +1 250-763-2277

Cost: $

Website

The Royal Anne Hotel is one of the best bang-for-your-buck options in Kelowna, thanks to its affordable rates and convenient location near a bus terminal.

Don’t be fooled; their rooms don’t look or feel cheap, considering the price. Thanks to their amenities and traditional design, you can expect a charming and comfortable stay.

As far as facilities go, the best they offer is the fitness centre and sauna. We think that its lack of pools and spas is entirely made up for by its location, as it’s near several beaches and parks.

Pro tip:
If you visit during the winter, make sure to stop by Stuart Park to enjoy its free ice skating rink! It’s also one of the best places in Kelowna to admire Okanagan Lake.

The Royal Kelowna by Bellstar Hotels

If you’re staying in the city to celebrate something extra special, then The Royal Kelowna should be at the top of your choices. For starters, it features a rooftop infinity pool that overlooks the lake and the mountain ranges from afar.

Meanwhile, the rooms are everything you’d expect from a five-star hotel, as they’re equal parts luxurious and functional. Aside from being total eye candies, these rooms feature multiple bedrooms, modern amenities, and for some, balconies with stunning views.

We recommend the two-bedroom suite for families because of its massive space—plus, it doesn’t hurt that it features an authentic fireplace. Speaking of families, your entire bloodline will get to enjoy access to the nearby beach and lagoon, as well as the hotel’s and spas.

Pro tip:
Book directly on their website instead of third-party apps to enjoy exclusive discounts on their rooms!

When it comes to history and heritage, Hotel Eldorado reigns supreme over other accommodation options in Kelowna, with its nearly century-long existence. Since 1926, it has been offering luxurious stays in the city with its lavish suites and fine-dining restaurants.

With that said, you can still see remnants from its past perfectly preserved today, such as its striking heritage-style exterior. The same can be said about its rooms, but they’ve been modernized with hotel amenities.

Similar to Manteo, this place is located by the pier, so you’ll have the luxury of admiring the creek during your stay, whether it be from your room or its many balconies and patios. You can also enjoy their food and drinks at these patios through the boardwalk dining options.

Pro tip:
Consider staying for more than two days to enjoy discounts of up to 20% off, depending on the season. This may change regularly, though, so be sure to book your stay through their official website to stay updated!
