JAF Contracting has been around for over 20 years. For us, those decades speak about the skills and experience they’ve acquired—they’ve impressively completed over 200 projects.

We also found that they specialize in home renovations. But, what we appreciate the most is that they can handle room and whole house renovations!

In addition, we admire them for catering to commercial clients despite having more residential clients. That said, we don’t think they aren’t ideal for large projects since they only do light commercial renovations.

Also, they aren’t the general contractor to go to if you’re looking to build a home from scratch. That was a bummer, considering we love their impeccable taste.

Speaking of taste, we appreciate JAF Contracting for only using high-quality products that will surely last a long time. One can see the obvious quality of workmanship and materials in their projects!

But it’s also nice that they stick within the budget. Based on our surveys, the contractors were able to accommodate requests without going over the initial project cost.

JAF Contracting also deserves applause for only sticking to sub-contractors with excellent attention to detail. They only work with skilled labourers and tradespeople, which we think is an important factor for a project to finish successfully.

Lastly, we appreciate their commitment to good customer service. Their past clients loved how the communication went smoothly throughout the project.

We like Easy Renovation because of their high-quality workmanship. There’s evidence of that through the recognition they’ve earned.

Impressively, they won the 2023 Best of Houzz Service, which they earned due to their great customer service. Another award they won is the 2023 HomeStars Best of Award 2023, which shows consistent customer service.

Easy Renovation piqued our interest because they’re a one-stop destination for home renovations. We like that they stick with the client from start to finish and are incredible at staying within the budget.

However, they’re not someone to call if you’re looking for a general contractor for commercial projects or new builds. On the plus side, that’s good news for houses and condos since those are the spaces they specialize in.

A factor that caught our interest is they provide pre-designed packages or customized design plans. We appreciate the options for clients who want to stick with a faster design process.

Plus, we like the life-like 3D renders that Easy Renovation provides clients with a more realistic look at the space. We found that convenient, too, since you get to see all the materials you selected.

It’s also incredible that they only use in-house contractors. In our opinion, that results in a more consistent quality of workmanship.

All in all, Easy Renovation is one of our picks for home renovations due to the exceptional design and workmanship quality. Their commitment to delivering top-notch services made them stand out for us.

Another general contractor in Toronto that we like is Astaneh Construction. They’re a go-to for home renovations in the city due to their outstanding service.

In fact, they won the 2023 Best of Houzz Service Award, which is evidence of their top-notch customer service. It’s one of the qualities we always look for, and that’s why we approve of Astaneh Construction!

A minor hiccup, unfortunately, is they only specialize in residential home projects. It was saddening they don’t provide services to commercial clients looking to remodel their office spaces.

But, on the plus side, we found their services pretty thorough. They provide renovation, home addition, and project management services—and we found their projects outstanding due to the touch of elegant design.

Another impressive aspect is that they’ve expanded to provide general contractor services for new custom homes. They’re like an all-in-one destination for Toronto homeowners.

As for the construction materials, we commend Astaneh Construction for offering high-quality standard and custom products. It allows clients to choose the more affordable options, which is something we approve of.

It’s worth highlighting that the clients we conversed with praised Astaneh Construction for providing competitive quotes, which is a major advantage in Toronto. We also found the value for money excellent because of the outstanding service and attention to detail.

One of our top picks is HH Renovation & General Contracting because of their top-notch remodelling services. We believe their skills make them a go-to general contractor to turn your vision into reality.

They specialize in renovations and remodelling, and we love that they’re a full-scale service because they will work on the electrical and plumbing aspects. The downside lies in their offerings, however, because they don’t offer new builds.

Nonetheless, we appreciate that they work with residential and commercial clients. They will do simple tasks like replacing a doorknob and big ones, like completely restructuring your house to turn it into your dream home.

Additionally, we appreciate that they don’t simply walk away after construction. We admire them for providing post-construction services, such as working on potential issues you may find and assisting with documentation.

But the good news is you might not have to worry about post-construction problems because of their extraordinary work! Their attention to detail is worth noting, given it’s a common compliment they received from our client surveys.

On top of that, we absolutely love how easy they were to work with. The clients we talked with praised their professionalism, ability to stick within the budget, accommodating nature, and efficiency—they sometimes finished days ahead!

Overall, we think HH Renovation & General Contracting is one of the best general contractors in Toronto. It’s just that they’re not the ideal company for new custom builds, which we hope they could expand to in the future.

GTA General Contractors caught our attention because they’re a full-service company. It’s not surprising, really, since they’ve been around for over three decades.

Their offerings are impressive because they’re quite a lot! From planning to design to construction, we appreciate they’re someone Torontonians can rely on.

An added bonus is their large team. Each construction project will get a dedicated team of professionals, such as a project manager, site supervisor, project administrator, and crew leader, to oversee the job and ensure everything goes smoothly.

As for their clients, we admire them for having an impressive list. They focus on commercial projects and have worked with ROVIO Canada Headquarters, Crave Doughnuts, Five Guys, and Atlantic Packaging.

Although their clientele amazed us, we did hit a slight bump. While they accept residential projects from time to time, they’re not ideal for small construction tasks since they’re a busy company and focus more on commercial jobs.

Despite that, we still found GTA General Contractors a commendable company because of their ability to work on large-scale projects. They even cater to residential projects outside the Toronto area.

From our surveys, we pat GTA General Contractors on the back for their detail-oriented service and clear communication skills. Their ability to keep clients updated with the process, budget, and materials shows their commitment to transparency, in our opinion.
