Halifax Driving School, which is open daily, covers everything from A to Z. Its vast services stood out the most, and being a multilingual and multicultural school allows its instructors to cater to local and international drivers in Halifax.

Let’s begin with this school’s offerings, which include full driving courses, online defensive courses, individual training, road test preparation, and nighttime driving. On top of all of these, they offer taxi training for drivers who want a career in passenger transport.

But how’s the teaching strategy? From what we’ve seen, it’s clear and concise. We also saw no issues during our surveys, except for a couple of reports of late pick-ups—and these weren’t a common occurrence, either.

They also have a patient, structured approach, which we found important when delivering driving instructions to newbies. Most students we spoke with noted their increased confidence during the lessons, mainly due to the instructor’s support.

Price-wise, they’re okay. Not the most affordable, but definitely not expensive for Halifax either—just fair, to be honest.

We simply had to include Khalsa Driving School, a place that has taught some of my buddies the rules of the road. They cater to the HRM and are open to new and experienced drivers.

What sets them apart from other driving schools in Halifax is their cost-effective packages, which come with exactly what you need. These include a new driver course and defensive driving.

We were thrilled upon learning that they try to accommodate busy schedules as much as possible. Although their office is closed on weekends, going the extra mile to be flexible evens it out.

The cheapest package costs $445 plus tax, which includes 9 hours of in-car lessons. Frankly, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, complete with a brand-new and well-maintained fleet.

Remarkably, they provide driving lessons in English, Hindi, and Punjabi. Above all, they received praise for the patient and knowledgeable instructors who provided crystal-clear directions, which were instrumental in keeping anxious drivers calm at all times.

The extensive range of driving lessons offered by Brave Driver Training is what initially caught our eye. There’s something for everyone, and they’re even open 7 days a week!

For instance, they offer driver’s education and driver improvement programs, catering to beginners, experienced, and anxious students. Some of these courses can lower your auto insurance, like the essential package with 10 hours of in-car lessons.

In addition, they offer driving lessons in bulk. What are these, exactly? You basically receive multiple in-car lessons (up to 6 sessions) that will train you to drive in all weather and road conditions—a lifesaver during Halifax’s windy seasons.

However, some of their online driving programs are offered by a third party. It’s not exactly a bad thing, but some students did say the course slides were not quite up to par.

But when it comes to in-car driving lessons, we heard nothing but good things. Their students appreciated the thorough and clear explanations, coupled with the supportive nature of their instructors.
