The 5 Best Creative Space Studios in Montreal That We Loved [Rated & Ranked!]
Image ideas: A room with a vinyl floor and blank walls, with lighting equipment and trusses.
Finding the perfect place for a creative project can be tougher than the project itself. Several months ago, I helped my sister look for the perfect studio for her engagement shoot. The schedule was tight, yet we wasted an entire day scrambling around Montreal.
One spot was stunning but had zero equipment, while another was well-equipped but looked sketchy. There was another one with splendid lighting, but parking was terrible. We were in a pinch, so I asked my team to help us do the legwork.
In the end, our search taught us one thing: Montreal offers numerous fantastic creative studios, but searching for the best ones shouldn’t be that exhausting. Well, that’s why we reviewed each one! Read on to find the spot for your next photoshoot, launch, or event.

Summer Camp Studios was one of our top prospects because of its impressive price-to-value ratio. For instance, a two-hour session only costs around CAD200, and it already comes with complimentary basic lighting and gear.
The versatility of the space is also top-notch, as it can transform into anything from a photoshoot studio to a wedding proposal backdrop, among other uses. We’ve also had respondents who told us that they transformed the studio into a birthday venue.
Summer Camp Studios also offers a couple of pre-built designs clients can choose from to suit the vibe of their projects. Among these is their conversation pit, which is essentially a square couch with an overhanging light, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass windows.
Lastly, part of what makes Summer Camp Studios effective is their creative team, that’s always game to help clients achieve their vision. They also do production that delivers stunning videos.
Our only minor gripe is that they don’t accept cash payments.
Perfect space for creative needs

Onova Studio immediately piqued our interest with its unique and creative 70’s aesthetic. We want to give props to the interior decor’s attention to detail, from the retro couches and lamps to its mid-century wallpapers and floorings.
We also love how the studio offers different rooms for variety, including a living room, a kitchen, an office, and a bathroom.
Previous clients whom we interviewed were also kind enough to share snippets of their projects, and the beautiful outcomes blew us away. They also highlighted the staff members as a key part, thanks to their promptness and helpfulness in providing assistance and equipment.
Onova Studio also offers different packages that include pieces of equipment along with their rooms. For instance, Space A offers full access to four different rooms along with a steamer, a clothing rack, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a sound system.
Unfortunately, they don’t include production equipment like lighting and backdrops, as these items incur additional costs. Also, the overall design is limited to specific aesthetics.
Professional staff
“Amazing studio space. The people in charge know what they’re doing and were very responsive and ready to help me with anything I needed for my project.”

Studio La Juingle was highly recommended to us by our respondents, primarily due to its beautiful space. We did an ocular, and one of the things we immediately noticed was that it’s like a blank canvas that offers great versatility.
We were also surprised at the size of the studio. Additionally, the natural light, along with a wide variety of plants, made the space appear cleaner and even more spacious than it actually was.
The studio was also equipped with facilities that a production team might need during a shoot, including a kitchenette and a bathroom, complete with showers.
From what we’ve gathered, connecting with Studio La Jungle is a breeze. For instance, previous clients shared that the team was prompt, friendly, and even offered cool ideas throughout the project.
It’s also among the most accessible studios in the city, thanks to its prime location and seven-day operation.
We just wish they were more affordable. Fortunately, they somewhat make up for this by offering discounted rates for students.
Magnificent space
“Great studio! The owner is very friendly and open to ideas. The place is magnificent with its many plants; it’s not called the jungle for nothing. 🌿 ”

HAVEN’s featured one of the most impressive portfolios during our research, with their projects ranging from video campaigns to fashion photography, and more.
We also explored their creative space, and we could only describe it as a playground for creatives. For starters, we love how it featured a huge floor-to-ceiling window, which allowed for natural sunlight to enter the studio.
Furthermore, we appreciate the variety of backdrops and facilities they offered. We interviewed photographers who rented the space, and they told us how versatile their white walls and exposed concrete floors were as a background for their creative photos and videos.
The space also features a designated workplace for behind-the-camera tasks such as post-editing, script and storyboard writing, etc. We must mention that they only offer full-day rentals, making it a stretch for those on a budget.
HAVEN’s team also deserves their flowers because of their hands-on approach with each client. This is best showcased with their 360-degree branding, where they help new brands with identifying their virtual identity.
Excellent team
“A beautiful space with a calendar filled with a variety of interesting events. The team here has done an excellent job in making this a place for creativity to firmly take root.”
– Santiago Oleas, Google Review
Amazingly equipped
“Fantastic space for pretty much anything you can think of! Fantastic lighting, amazingly equipped, and to top it all off, it is run by the most creative and energetic person!!! Use this space! You won’t regret it!”

One of the things we love about Luma Lofts is that it requires little to no decorations to make photos and videos stand out. It takes the form of those New York loft apartments, but decorated neatly with tasteful and monochromatic furniture.
Previous clients of the studios also told us how clean the studio was, with their photos only requiring minimal touch-ups in post. They also told us how they loved the elegant aesthetics paired with the natural lighting, courtesy of the huge windows.
However, the studio remains versatile, as the staff offers multiple props and backdrops for rent on top of their lighting options.
Accessibility-wise, Luma Lofts is up there, as it’s extremely easy to book a schedule through their official website, and they’re located in the heart of Montreal. Just a heads up: if you’re scheduling on a weekend, expect higher rates.
We also appreciate that it comes with a complete kitchen, allowing clients who rent a full-day session (and those planning weddings or events) to prepare their meals easily.
Serene energy
“The energy at Luma Lofts is so serene! It was the perfect space to book for my intimate women’s circle. It’s divinely decorated, great for natural-lighting photography, and equipped with a full kitchen. I highly recommend this gem ✨

So much natural light
“One of my favourite studios to shoot in Montreal.Super clean and super bright. The big windows let in so much natural light that I hardly ever have to bring lights. The decor is always very good and is updated often. Prices are very reasonable and booking is hassle-free. Can’t recommend it enough!”
