Their menu stands out, which is all carefully curated to accommodate various needs and dietary restrictions. The food choices are diverse as well, such as tapas, burgers, and vegan meals—there are build-your-own burgers, too!

They don’t limit themselves to one event by catering to weddings, corporate parties, and life celebrations. Plus, we like their bar services that you can add to any occasion, which include event staff!

It’s also worth noting that they’re available for small to medium-sized events with over 100 guests. Plus, the minimum order per delivery starts at only $300, depending on the location, which is a fair price in the area.

Although weekends aren’t for small celebrations, since the minimum order is a pricey $2500 on Sundays. It’s fine, really, since you’re getting what you pay for in terms of taste!

Diversity is important at SERVED Catering, where there’s inclusivity in hiring staff and in curating their menu. Their commitment to sustainability also hooked us, which they show by working with vendors who care about reducing their carbon footprint.

The menu is exceptional, and even our picky-eating staff thoroughly enjoyed it. That made sense when we learned that they use fresh and premium ingredients, and the presentation greatly helped, too.

The selection is also diverse, including Italian and Chinese cuisine. And when it comes to catering styles, they can offer it all, such as buffet, plated, and course dinners.

We also appreciate their pricing. The drop-off delivery rates are reasonable, starting at $32 for the North Shore, and the minimum food order is low compared to other caterers in the area.

However, there might be slight hiccups with the delivery time, since it’s not guaranteed due to traffic or other events. There’s a half-hour delivery window, anyway, so it isn’t a big deal.

We love that every food in The Rooted Table is meticulously planned. As a catering and meal prep service, the food they prepare is nutritionally balanced, colourful, and eye-catching.

Everything we’ve seen is aesthetically pleasing, as each dish is beautifully presented and colourful. The taste? They’re delicious and healthy since they use fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Their catering services are diverse, offering plated course meals, family-style menus, and grazing tables. These make them a solid choice for intimate events, like bridal showers and birthdays.

However, since they’re a small business, they’re not ideal for large catering events. Still, everything’s fairly convenient here.

For instance, they only require at least two weeks’ notice for catering, and they offer rental services. But their family-style catering doesn’t offer free equipment pickups.

Nonetheless, they’re a budget-friendly option for any event. Compared to other caterers in the area, they have competitive pricing on food and delivery, making them accessible to Vancouverites.

Picky, adventurous, and food-sensitive people can eat

It wasn’t a shock that Seasons Catering earned the votes from our staff. For almost two decades, they’ve been using local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients, hence the name.

We like how everything is customisable, giving you the freedom to pick everything for the event. The food selection is diverse, including Asian and Mediterranean cuisine, and the sample menus are solid if you want to skip tailoring them.

It’s worth noting that they can do any kind of catering style, from canapés to buffet. Plus, it’s awesome that they’re equipped for large events of up to 500 for plated meals and 1000 for buffet.

While catering for large parties makes them accessible, we can’t say the same for intimate events due to the minimum of $1000 for weekend deliveries.

Presentation-wise, they’re good! You can tell that each food is arranged with aesthetics in mind. Their careful planning extends to the flavours, as most clients we spoke with had only positive things to say.

Indish knows how to cook up a storm in the kitchen! These guys make Indian-inspired dishes for the Vancouverite palate, while providing the right balance of flavours.

When it comes to the menu, we were glad that everything’s customisable. Not only do they tailor it based on dietary needs and preferences, but also based on your budget, allowing you to avoid overspending.

Although their customisable menu is flexible, the disadvantage is that the food selection is still limited. Unlike other catering services in Vancouver, they only stick to one cuisine.

Still, their catering is hassle-free for clients. There’s no need to worry about missing equipment because they’ll be bringing their food truck to you!

Plus, their on-time delivery is a massive perk! It’s just a bummer that it limits their services since they don’t offer other catering styles.

Honestly, that’s not a big deal. What’s important is that the food is fresh, delicious, and has generous portions to keep every tummy satisfied!
