We think it’s worth sharing that MB has received a Renomark Certification. We find recognitions like this notable because it proves that a particular company have met the standards of a reputable institution in its industry.

We also like MB’s portfolio, especially the number of samples showcasing the styles it can do. However, it’s disappointing that it has no additional details that could otherwise help clients understand the goal and result of each project.

Nevertheless, most people we spoke with mentioned they enjoyed working with the renovators because of their quick turnaround rate. We also like that MB values its customers’ time by being responsive to inquiries and follow-ups in projects.

Furthermore, many clients were satisfied with MB’s basement renovation, specifically with its workmanship quality. Although it’s crucial to follow a project’s timeline, we’re relieved to know that it provides outstanding services.

Experience is one of the most essential aspects of a business–more so for craftsmen. That’s why we’re glad that Ultimate Renovations (UR) is ready to fill this role for any Edmontonian looking for quality basement renovations.

UR is also a more established business than its competitors in the city because it has been operating since 1979. Aside from having good skills, we think UR’s longevity is notable because it speaks a lot about its reliability and trustworthiness.

On the same note, we also find it reassuring that UR has received numerous awards throughout its years of operation, such as from the Canadian Home Builders (CHB) and Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD).

Another aspect we like is UR’s portfolio because it has numerous samples that allow clients to properly judge and evaluate if its works fit their project goals.

Similarly, UR also has case studies, which include helpful details about its previous works. We appreciate this feature because it would allow clients to see its approach and thought process on its projects before deciding to hire its team.

We also think it’s worth sharing that UR has a showroom in its office in Calgary. However, it’s a bit of a letdown that it doesn’t have one in Edmonton that clients can visit in a few minutes.

Still, we think UR’s customer service has a redeeming factor. Many of its clients are happy with its renovation services because of its responsive and straight-to-the-point work approach–something that all businesses should strive for!

Since 2011, Ace Quality Renovations (AQR) has been doing home renovation services for Edmontonians. We think its owner’s 15 years of general contractor experience makes it a reputable business-–this pretty much makes them trustworthy in our books!

Besides its credentials, another thing we like is that its payment methods are clearly shown on its website. They accept cash, cheques, and even debit and credit card payments–convenient, eh?

Another positive aspect is its portfolio, with plenty of samples for its basement renovations. Although most have brief details, we think AQR fell short in providing information, such as case studies and more photos, that will help clients decide.

Nonetheless, AQR can even do in-home consultations so they can assess the work needed to be done and even offer suggestions. The best part? This service is free!

According to our surveys, many of AQR’s customers were satisfied with the turnout of their basement renovations. For us, the positive feedback is a testament of their good service and expertise!

On the flip side, we’re somewhat disappointed that AQR fell a bit short in terms of customer service. For instance, some clients mentioned that it’s unwelcoming to small projects, while others stated some delays in the project timeline. 

Contact Renovations & Custom Homes (CRCH) Ltd. is a basement renovator with numerous awards and recognitions. Aside from being impressive, it’s a relief to know because its services are at par with the industry’s standards.

To elaborate, it has been Houzz’s awardee for best design and services since 2016. It also has recognitions from CHB and Better and Business Bureau (BBB). Given these credentials, we’re certain of its reliability as a contractor.

You can also see CRCH’s previous projects, which include videos that show its work process. What we like the most about its proof of work is its many samples with essential details that would help clients evaluate its services.

Besides those, we also find CRCH’s over a decade of experience reassuring. With its operations dating back to 2011, we have no doubt it knows every nook and cranny of basement renovations.

Meanwhile, we’re glad to share that clients who want to repurpose their basement into something fresh may also be interested in CRCH’s basement remodelling services. It’s also worth noting that most of its competitors do not provide it.

We think it’s worth sharing that many of CRCH’s clients are satisfied with its services and work approach. Most of them positively noted that the team is attentive and easy to reach out to, which is convenient for customers.

However, it’s also worth noting the few instances wherein CRCH has had delays on its projects, such as securing proper permits. Still, we’re glad it finished most of its work and lived up to clients’ expectations.

Ridgeline Improvements Ltd.(RI) is one of the recognized renovators in the city. Its recognition from six home builder associations, such as Netzero Home and CHBA, makes it a reliable and credible contractor for your projects.

Also, it’s worth noting that RI has been a contractor since 2011. It’s a relief to know because it means it has ample experience in basement renovation and other home-building services.

That said, we’re quite disappointed that its portfolio has relatively fewer samples than its competitors. RI’s lack of work photos hinders clients from seeing its range of styles for its basement renovation.

Nevertheless, unlike most basement renovation contractors, RI’s gallery has numerous samples and supplementary information that could help clients to assess its works–a convenient feature indeed!

We think it’s reassuring to know from the clients that RI is organized and strict with sticking to the project’s timeline. We think these are important features that any contractor should have because time is of the essence in construction.

On the flip side, it’s a letdown that there were few instances wherein RI responded lately to customer inquiries–the longest being two days. We’re hoping that the company will improve its response time for the convenience of its clients in the future.
