Before you say goodbye to spring, visit the beautiful Ottawa Tulip Festival! This annual festival takes place for 11 days every year in May—this time, it blooms from May 9 to 19, 2025.

Commissioners Park transforms into a vibrant, multicoloured bed of tulips, where over 300,000 blossoms show off their gorgeous hues. But that’s not all this richly hued festival has to offer!

Aside from taking lots of photos of the flowers (for the gram, of course), you can embark on a free self-guided tour that will take you on a journey through the history of the festival. If you have extra loonies to spend, the guided tour is $20 per person.

Then, bring home tulip-themed products, available at the humble Tulip Market. Every night is also a movie night at this gorgeous fest, with free showings at 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

And when you’re feeling hungry, pop by the food trucks to fuel your tummy throughout the day, whether you’re craving something sweet or savoury!
