The Top 5 Cosmetic Dentistry Services in Edmonton

The Top 5 Cosmetic Dentistry Services in Edmonton

How We Picked

Qualifications – We assessed the credentials through proper licenses for a reputable service.
Expertise – We evaluated the skills and experience because these are important when looking for a cosmetic dentist to get the right treatments.
Rates – Since cosmetic dentistry in Edmonton isn’t usually included in insurance plans, we searched for services that offer good value for money and flexible payment plans.
Services – We based this criterion on the reputation, availability, and quality of service based on the clients we surveyed and third-party reviews.

Pros

  • Wide range of services
  • Accepts walk-ins
  • Provides privacy
  • Offers needleless freezing
  • Friendly and accommodating staff

Cons

  • Expensive prices
  • Needs improvement on insurance transparency

Downtown Core Dental has a convenient location in downtown Edmonton near a bunch of shops and restaurants, which is great if you have other errands to run.

Aside from cosmetic dentistry, it offers a wide range of treatments, from regular checkups to root canals. We highly appreciate the full services as it offers a tonne of convenience if you need other dental services.

As for cosmetic dentistry, they offer bonding, veneers, dental implants, crowns, and Invisalign. So, if you want a perfect smile, you have many options to choose from as long as it’s suitable for your situation.

They even have needleless freezing, a syringe-free anaesthesia that offers comfort and reduces nervousness. Since this won’t give you a numb face, you can head straight back to the office.

But one of the things we admire is they accept walk-ins for dental emergencies. This is something we like since their clinic is closed on weekends and opens later than usual on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Regarding the clinic, we appreciate the clean environment. There’s a door that leads to the hallway for the treatment rooms, which offers privacy for each patient.

In addition, the staff at the front desk was very hospitable, as past clients mentioned. Some even praised the good vibes in the clinic, which we believe eases the tensions and anxiety of nervous patients.

Moreover, the dentist and dental hygienists were professional, friendly, and did an excellent job. Because of this, some clients referred the clinic to their friends.

A drawback we found is the expensive prices. Even happy clients found this a downside since the costs are relatively higher than other clinics.

Another thing they can improve on is transparency regarding treatments that are covered by insurance. In our opinion, being upfront about this is important because of the high rates.

Pros

  • Wide range of treatments
  • Offers discounts
  • Provides direct billing
  • Dentists were good at easing anxiousness

Cons

  • Cases of oversights in insurance claims
  • Some overcharging complaints
  • Instances of inaccurate estimates

Floss & Gloss Dental may be a good option if you’re looking for a clinic that offers comprehensive services. It has dentists that are trained in general and cosmetic dentistry, allowing you to stay in the same clinic if you need other procedures.

We appreciate the free consultations for cosmetic procedures since these services aren’t usually covered by insurance. With that, you can save money, even if it’s just a little.

Additionally, they offer 10%off to patients without dental insurance, and this goes for all services. An additional perk for students and senior citizens is 20% off!

New patients even get a free teeth whitening kit and an electric toothbrush for selected services. We absolutely like these benefits because it shows hospitality towards their patients.

Although they do direct billing to insurance, we found some complaints regarding oversight in filing the claim. Other complaints are overcharging and inaccurately estimated rates.

Sadly, these financial complaints can be a huge inconvenience for clients who weren’t aware of the mistakes in the first place. We believe in being upfront regarding financial arrangements since dental services can be costly.

A positive thing is the dentists who offered detailed information regarding treatments and other alternatives. They also made suggestions on some cost-effective solutions.

Furthermore, they were professional, and some patients said they felt at ease due to the dentist’s approach. The way we see it, this is extremely helpful in easing anxiety.

Pros

  • Provides a thorough consultation
  • Offers treatment plans
  • Has financing option

Cons

  • High prices
  • Closes early on Fridays

We noticed Warehouse District Dental because of its commitment to giving Edmontonians a perfect smile that’ll boost their confidence. Their Facebook page is even called “Focus on Smile.”

We appreciate the extensive services they provide, which is advantageous when you’re looking for other treatments, from general dentistry to oral surgeries.

Moreover, we were glad to find they offer a cosmetic dentistry plan. It’s called a “Smile Makeover”, where you’ll undergo different procedures to achieve the smile you want.

The good thing about this is the mixture of treatments offering a specialised service for each patient. Also, this can address your teeth’s colour, misalignment, and shape, among others.

From our viewpoint, this service can be highly desirable in cosmetic dentistry because aside from healthier teeth, you can also avoid further costly damages.

It’s worth noting that the initial consultation will include before and after photos of the treatments you’ll consider getting. This is so you can see the kind of work from each dentist for an informed decision.

We wanted to highlight this because it gives you the freedom to choose the dentist you trust the most. This is especially helpful for new patients too.

As for financing, we were delighted to learn they accept DentalCard, an option for cosmetic dentistry procedures. This provides flexible monthly payment options if you’re on a tight budget.

On the downside, their treatment plans are more expensive than similar clinics. They also close early on Fridays, so you may need to get off work earlier than planned.

On a brighter note, the clients we surveyed were happy with the high-quality service and good bedside manner, and that’s despite the expensive fees.

4. Westview Dental Clinic

Pros

  • Available by appointment on Saturdays
  • Long clinic hours
  • Offers a financing plan
  • Offers options for clear aligners

Cons

  • Expensive prices
  • Minor complaints about insurance coverage

Westview Dental opened in 2018, and despite only a few years of service, it has quite a big team. We also found the clinic to be larger than similar services, allowing the team to care for more patients.

We like the clean environment of the clinic. Also, there’s ample parking, so that won’t be a problem.

If you’re going in for cosmetic dentistry, they offer SureSmile clear aligners. If you prefer one that’s a bit thinner than Invisalign, then this can be a good option.

Aside from that, they offer veneers and teeth whitening, too, the common choices for an aesthetic smile. But depending on your case, you can opt for a combination of different procedures.

One more thing we like about this clinic is the emergency services. Conveniently, the doctors have certain times set aside for these types of situations.

Just remember that emergency services don’t apply after hours. But the positive thing is they have long clinic hours, and they’re available by appointment on Saturdays.

It’s worth highlighting that they offer dental financing through Affirm, which offers affordable monthly payments. We like this plan, so you don’t have to break your bank account too much.

Moreover, flexible payments can help a tonne because Westview has high prices. We would also appreciate an improvement in communication regarding insurance coverage.

You see, some patients weren’t informed about procedures not covered by insurance. As a result, they had to pay additional fees on top of the expensive prices.

5. Agape Dental Clinic

Pros

  • Open on Saturdays
  • Accepts emergency services
  • Convenient location
  • Offers cost-effective solutions

Cons

  • Needs improvement with anxious patients
  • Some complaints about customer service

One of the things we like about Agape Dental Clinic is its accessibility due to the long hours and availability on Saturdays. You should know they also accept walk-ins for emergency dental services, which we find convenient.

In addition, they’re open almost all day on Saturdays, which you don’t see much in other dental clinics.

We like the location too as it has ample parking space. And, across the street is the Mill WoodsTransit Centre for easy commuting.

It offers a wide variety of treatments for even more accessibility. We found that they have several patients from the same family, which speaks a lot about the trust they’ve earned through the years.

One of the main things we like is the Bioclear method, a minimally invasive bonding technique to close the gaps between your teeth. It’s a cost-effective solution too, which we highly appreciate.

Another service we think you’ll like is the smile makeover. This can help you achieve your teeth by combining treatments that best suit your needs.

You can even contact them immediately for emergency cases – a great service if you suddenly get severe toothaches.

However, we believe they need improvement when addressing complaints. Some patients waited for a while despite an appointment.

We would also like to see an improvement in handling nervous patients. Understandably, some people can get anxious with dental work, and a gentle doctor is needed.
