Toronto Symphony Orchestra Brings the Classics at Roy Thomson Hall This February 2025
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra once again graces the stage of Roy Thomson Hall in downtown’s entertainment district this February 1st for the Tchaikovsky & Vaughan Williams concert.
Tarmo Peltokoski, the next musical director for the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, conducts the masterpiece Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. The intricate and demanding piece is joined by Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan.
It starts off by capturing the mythic story of Pohjola’s Daughter, an enthralling piece that tells the journey of a demigod. The program ends with Vaughn Williams’ Symphony No. 4, a raw and dramatic composition that evokes emotional extremes.
