Speaking of the workplace, they have a big facility that’s over 10,000 sqft. Because of this, they can accommodate many clients at once.

Moreover, they have different types of blasting available. Since sandblasting can be abrasive on some materials, we like these services.

Besides that, they have blast booths for big and small parts. We appreciate that they have a full walk-in blast booth that can even fit car frames.

As for the quality, we found it impressive that they delivered a fantastic job. Past clients attested to this, with some praising the thorough work.

They also provide accurate estimates and reasonable prices. We think clients on a tight budget will appreciate this. 

But it was disappointing that some clients waited longer than the predicted time. On a good note, this rarely happens.

We would also like to see an improvement in communication. Some clients had products in the shop for a long time, and the staff should’ve contacted them faster. 

Onsite Blast Ltd., founded in 2017, provides various abrasive blasting services. It specialises in large projects, like infrastructures, buildings, and bridges.

They have a partnership with Paul First Nation Development Corp, which we appreciate. They continue to maintain a 25% indigenous workforce in different positions.

Because of this, many indigenous people in Alberta will find job opportunities focusing on sustainability.

Moreover, they work efficiently to maintain a lower environmental footprint. We respect their approach because sandblasting can be harmful due to the abrasive materials.

Aside from those, they have a large facility. Because of this, they can accommodate many projects of different sizes.

You can even check some of the projects they’ve handled in the past. And we found them impressive due to the size of the structures.

Another thing we appreciate is Onsite Blast’s commitment to safety. They currently have zero incidents, which we think is noteworthy.

In addition, they have Workers’ Compensation Board coverage. In case of worksite accidents, you’ll be sure they’ll take care of their employees.

One of our concerns is they don’t usually handle small projects. Although they do it, getting an immediate booking can be a tad difficult due to their big clientele.

On the other hand, Onsite Blast has shown quality service. They have shown great attention to detail, no matter the type of project.

Alta Powder Coating has been in business since 2001. It services many sectors: industrial, commercial, and automotive, among others.

It has reached many clients overseas, including the United States and Spain. We believe potential clients will find this impressive because of its global reach.

Because of this, they’ve earned a strong reputation among their clients. And this standing in the industry is essential when building trust.

They also promise a quick turnaround, some even on the same day. Past clients can attest to this, some saying that this was one of the fastest services they’ve seen.

Aside from sandblasting, they offer soda blasting. It’s a non-abrasive and cost-effective method.

Moreover, the advantage is it doesn’t damage the material because it isn’t too harsh. It’s a great recommendation, too, for glass and plastic materials.

One of the things their clients were happy about was the excellent quality of work. Some we talked with were highly impressed, even recommending Alta Powder Coating to their friends.

Another plus is the willingness of the staff to accommodate their clients. Some also praised the staff’s honesty, especially about the prices.

But it was quite disappointing to hear minor complaints about customer service. Also, we’d like to see more assortment of colours for more choices.

Blue Skies Blast & Paint Ltd. is a family-owned and operated business in Edmonton that opened its doors in 2008. Over the years, they’ve earned trusted clients through quality workmanship.

Family-owned businesses are sometimes known for its personal approach. In fact, their clients liked them due to the staff’s friendliness.

Throughout the years, they’ve expanded their business by adding more equipment. This is great, in our opinion, so they can meet the needs of their growing number of customers.

In addition, they listed their equipment on their website. We appreciate this because of its transparency.

They also have a big facility, allowing them to take in more customers and projects.

It’s worth highlighting that they have a mobile sandblasting service. It provides convenience since not all clients can bring heavy materials to the shop.

Moreover, they have a fully-equipped vehicle with state-of-the-art equipment. This is for safer sandblasting, preventing the risk of deforming the material.

We also want to mention that they have fair prices. Their clients were happy with the honest rates and didn’t feel like they were getting ripped off.

Another worth mentioning is the top-notch quality. Others praised the impeccable workmanship with sandblasting and painting.

However, Blue Skies Blast & Paint don’t offer alternatives to sandblasting. Some materials need a gentler blasting method, that’s why other options can be great.

We’d also like to see some paint choices for easy access. Since they offer painting, a readily available selection can be an advantage.

Sahara Sandblasting & Painting Ltd., locally owned and operated, has been operating since 1978. It has been providing services to industrial, residential, and commercial clients.

It focuses mainly on industrial clients, such as construction and oil and gas facilities. Meanwhile, they focus on cleaning and finishing for residential clients.

Throughout their years of service, they’ve become one of Western Canada’s sandblasting and painting solution suppliers. The way we see it, this background can help earn the trust of clients.

We want to note that they take work safety seriously. Moreover, they’re a member of the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), ensuring that their crew are trained for a safe work environment.

As for their facility, they can service small or big projects. We find it impressive that they have 30,000 sqft of shop space, allowing them to take more clients.

Additionally, this means they can accept jobs regardless of size and difficulty. Because of this, you can hire them for any intricate job.

We appreciate the convenience they offer through their mobile service. If you have heavy materials or live outside Edmonton, we believe you’ll like this.

But the main advantage is they can reach any place in Western Canada. Also, Sahara’s vehicles have full equipment for fast and effective service.

Other things we like are the quality and fast turnaround times. Others agreed, too, no matter the size of the project.

Everything sounds great so far, but we did find some downsides. There were a few complaints about customer service, which was disappointing.

Lastly, they focus more on big and industrial projects. So, getting an appointment for smaller jobs may be a tad difficult.
