Pros

  • Includes parking space
  • Has in-suite washer/dryer
  • Near the mall and downtown area
  • Building manager lives on-site

Cons

  • Some stained and chipped areas
  • Noise issues with lower-floor apartments

First on our list of the top furnished apartments in Edmonton is McKinnon Pointe. We find this a convenient option for people vacationing in the city or when visiting families.

We like how convenient the location is because McKinnon Pointe is minutes away from West Edmonton Mall and the downtown core. That makes staying in the city a breeze because you’re near shops and restaurants.

There are also a total of 19 furnished apartments all in one building. We think you won’t worry too much during busy months because of the many options.

Moreover, you have two furnished apartment type choices: one bedroom with den and two bedrooms. Plus, all rooms are decorated, and we like how homey they feel.

One of the best things we like about Mckinnon Point is its many amenities. This includes all furniture, an in-suite washer/dryer combo, WiFi, and one free parking space.

Oh, we like that the building manager lives on-site as well. In case of any issues (or if you lock yourself out), you can count on the fast service.

However, we found some issues, including some stains and chips past renters found on some apartments. We were hoping the management could clean or upgrade the rooms more.

Also, the ground floor furnished apartments were quite loud because you could hear your neighbour’s noise. If you can, we suggest renting a room on the higher floors.

Pros

  • Has energy-efficient appliances
  • Pet-friendly
  • Has a fitness area
  • Comes with underground parking and heated garage

Cons

  • Limited fully furnished apartments
  • Issues with ants and roaches

Another furnished apartment we like in Edmonton is Oak Tower. If you’re looking for a place to rent in a convenient location, then you may want to check this out.

We love that you’re about a minute away from Jasper Avenue, which is Edmonton’s main street. You’re also within walking distance of a shopping centre, restaurants, and bus stops.

Plus, it’s a few minutes away from schools and parks. MacEwan University and NAIT are just a few minutes away, which is great for students living off campus.

Another positive aspect is the stainless steel and energy-efficient appliances. Aside from looking presentable, you can save on energy bills!

We really like the layout of the fully furnished Oak Tower apartment. It’s not big, but we appreciate the privacy you can get if you rent with a friend.

Additionally, there are a lot of kitchen cabinets for storage. There are also soft-close drawers, a small touch that makes the apartment feel premium.

Moreover, we love that this is pet-friendly! That’s a main concern for many people because some furnished apartments don’t allow dogs or cats.

Also, the building has underground parking, a heated parking garage, and a fitness area. No more gym memberships and your car is safe during the harsh winters!

However, we noticed that there aren’t many fully furnished apartments here. It’s only the two-bedroom suites, which means you can’t rent a one-bedroom furnished apartment.

Although we love the design and layout, we heard some disappointing news about Oak Tower. There were complaints about ants and roaches, particularly on the lower floors.

Pros

  • Well-maintained apartments
  • Includes underground heated parking
  • Provides housekeeping service
  • Has digital entry systems
  • Quick and professional staff

Cons

  • Not all buildings have the same amenities
  • Requires a minimum number of stay

If you’re looking for a high-quality experience, then don’t forget to check out Princeton Executive Suite. It’s highly accessible because there are many buildings all over Edmonton (and Calgary!).

All apartment buildings are conveniently located. They’re near shops, restaurants, and metro stations, making your life a bit easier.

The main aspect of Princeton Executive Suites we like is the many amenities! All apartments have underground heated parking (convenient for winter), air conditioners, digital entry systems (for safety), and in-suite washers/dryers.

Plus, we love the biweekly housekeeping service, which not all furnished apartments have. Isn’t that great for busy bees?

But it’s important to know that not all buildings have the same amenities. Some have a swimming pool, hot tub, and fitness centre, while others don’t.

Even so, the apartment buildings with the least amenities still have a lot more than others in Edmonton. Not all apartments have housekeeping service, you know.

Another aspect we like is the quality of the appliances and furniture. Although the apartment layouts are pretty standard, we like the privacy it offers while having enough space.

Additionally, we like the renovated rooms. They don’t feel cheap, are fully equipped, and well-maintained.

Moreover, the staff responds pretty fast! People renting the apartments at Princeton Executive Suites appreciated them for promptly resolving any issues.

You should also know that some fully furnished rooms require a minimum of 7 nights or 30 nights. That’s under the condo bylaws, so that’s something to consider if you only need to stay for a short time.

On the upside, these furnished rooms impressed us because of the cleanliness! You can definitely tell that the staff cleans and maintains the rooms regularly.

Pros

  • LEED Gold-certified building
  • Pet-friendly
  • Has a dog spa
  • Includes bike storage and maintenance room
  • Has underground parking
  • Provides indoor and outdoor lounge

Cons

  • Some apartments don’t have a window in 2nd bedroom
  • Limited furnished guest suites

It’s impressive that Southpark on Whyte was designed following green principles. It’s a LEED Gold-certified building, meaning it helps reduce carbon emissions.

If you decide to rent this furnished apartment, we think you’ll love the location at Old Strathcona. It’s a neighbourhood rich with trendy bars, cafes, galleries, and many shops!

The building amenities are pretty impressive, too. There’s a fitness centre (no gym membership required!), an indoor and outdoor lounge, and a boutique lobby lounge, all with WiFi access!

Plus, there are many bike lanes in the area. In fact, there’s a bike storage and maintenance room in the Southpark building!

If you drive a car, there’s underground parking that’s convenient for your vehicle, especially in the winter. We also appreciate the underground storage where you can keep your other stuff in the same location.

Did you know there’s even a dog spa in the building? We absolutely love that, and the building is pet-friendly!

The thing that’s great about this is the furnished guest suite. If you live in a one-bedroom apartment and have no space for visiting friends and family, they can rent the guest suite so they’re close to you!

It helps that it’s furnished because you won’t have any problems with where to get appliances and a bed to sleep on. But the rooms are pretty limited, so make sure to book ahead if you want a short-term stay.

A minor issue we have is the lack of windows in some 2-bedroom apartments. It could be a home office, though.

5. 1TEN on Whyte

Pros

  • Caters to students
  • Water and gas are included in the bill
  • Has a gym on-site
  • Includes a laundry room
  • Provides common areas

Cons

  • Outdated-looking rooms
  • Office is closed on weekends

1TEN on Whyte is focused on student housing. It’s even located near the University of Alberta, MacEwan University, and Norquest College, making it convenient for off-campus accommodation.

It’s also near bus stops, dining shops, grocery stores, and the LRT station. With these places near the apartment, you won’t have to worry about your basic needs!

Also, students won’t worry too much about bills. The rent in this apartment building already includes water and gas.

We like the different types of furnished apartments you can rent here. The bachelor suite is the most affordable, like a studio apartment.

In addition to that, there are two, three, and four-bedroom furnished apartments. These are useful for students with roommates, don’t you think?

Moreover, we appreciate the gym in the building! It’s another convenient feature for students so they don’t have to pay for a gym membership.

Plus, there’s a laundry room in the building. That’s important because you don’t have to go out and look for a place to wash your clothes, especially at night.

Another thing we appreciate is the common areas, which are perfect for group study sessions. There are even rooms which you can use for meetings.

An issue we have is the outdated-looking apartments. The paint and furniture make the rooms dark, even with the relatively large windows.

The office is also closed on weekends. Hence, you need to take some time on weekdays to book an in-person tour.

On the upside, you can opt for a virtual tour. There’s a live video tour, so you can check out the space if you live far away, just not on weekends.
