We’re also pleased they have online classes for those who can’t make it to the studio. It’s perfect for students and parents who prefer learning from home, and the fact that they provide art kits for online students is a nice touch.

One downside we noted, however, is that their rates aren’t readily available on their website. But we’re glad to find that they’re easily reachable via phone and their social media sites.

Masters Art Academy is a nonprofit education hub dishing out art classes, workshops, and school programs. What caught our eye is how they cater to all levels, ensuring everyone gets the tools and practice needed to boost their skills to the next level.

As for catering to students, parents have been raving about it, saying the instructors are friendly and great with kids, especially those who might be a bit shy about socializing.

We’re also impressed by the progress and results students achieve after just one weekly session. From our surveys, many students keep coming back for more, with some sticking around for over a year—a testament to their quality and fun classes.

It’s also neat that they lay out their rates right on their website, which is convenient. 

For instance, kids’ programs can run around $330 for weekly classes, while adults might pay around $280, depending on the program. Plus, they offer sweet deals like a 15% discount for a second class, second child, or bringing in a new student, along with $45 drop-in classes. 

On the downside, their class options are a bit more limited compared to some others out there. They usually only offer art classes three days a week, which might not be as flexible for others.

Still, when it comes down to it, we think Masters Art Academy is a pretty solid choice for both kids and adults looking to dive into some art classes.

What we like most about Canvastone Children’s Art Studio is how they keep their class sizes small, which means each student gets plenty of one-on-one time with the art teacher. For example, they cap it at five students per class for ages 5-7 and six for older ones.

On that note, from what we’ve seen, Canvastone’s class setup is effective. Loads of students are making progress in their art classes, and get this—some of them have been sticking with Canvastone for over two years now. 

However, we’re a bit bummed that their classes don’t offer classes for adults. They typically only cater to students up to 16 years old, which might leave some grown-ups wishing they could join in on the fun.

Another neat thing we learned is that they offer digital art classes about sparking creativity in kids. Using Procreate on iPad, they dish out fun and age-appropriate lessons to get kids’ imaginations fired up.

Lastly, we love that Canvastone’s curriculum is packed with all sorts of cool stuff. Students can dive into different techniques and materials, like playing with texture paste, experimenting with embossing powder, and even trying their hand at soapstone carvings.

The Paint Spot’s Artelier Studios offers art classes and workshops led by experienced instructors. They’re great for beginners and intermediate artists looking to learn new techniques and improve their skills.

A standout about their programs is that they cover many different art materials. For instance, they have everything from watercolour and oil to acrylic and pastel, drawing, collage, fabric painting, printmaking, and even fabric dying.

To give you an idea, they have some pretty cool specialty topics. Think portrait, landscape, still life, abstract, and figure.  

From what we’ve gathered, it’s perfect for adults looking to dip their toes into a new hobby or art technique. Plus, it seems like most of the students are young adults, so you’ll be in good company.

On the flip side, we noted that their classes are mostly geared towards older kids and adults since they typically start accepting students from around 12 years old and up. So, if you’ve got younger kiddos, you might want to look elsewhere for art classes tailored to their age group.

Regardless, it’s still worth checking out the range of classes and workshops they offer at Artelier Studios. And we like that they give a 20% discount on the art supplies they sell. 

A unique thing about Viva Clayworks from the others is that they’re all about pottery and clay work. It’s the perfect spot for anyone itching to craft their own mugs, plates, bowls, vases, or ornaments.

We also noted that many students have a blast during class. Plenty have mentioned that they find them therapeutic and productive, which is always a bonus.

Based on our research, their pottery classes typically run for about six weeks on the wheel, and students get to create all sorts of cool stuff. What’s even more interesting is that some folks have even thought about taking their pottery skills to the next level and going pro.

And for those who don’t want to jump into a six-week commitment, Viva Clayworks offers these 2-hour night experiences. You’ll get a demo and then work step by step with the instructor to create your own piece. It’s been a hit with couples and friends looking for a fun night out.

But just a heads-up, these sessions fill up fast. So, if you’re considering signing up, you might end up on a waitlist until a spot opens up.
